My father went to Ashley Court from hospital, the family found them to be most caring and understanding of my father's care. Unfortunately, my father was only there for a week and a half before he passed away, but during his time there he was very well looked after and I would recommend Ashley Court.

My cousin had been here in Ashley Court for 4 years and had been very happy here, well looked after by caring friendly staff.
Also, my cousin always said how content she was there.

I think that the staff do all that they can, because my father is nearly always in bed because of pressure sores. He does seem to injure his arms a lot because he is always on the move, even in bed.
He thinks he is at work even though he is in bed and cannot walk away anymore which makes it difficult
for the staff because he thinks they are trying to stop him from working.

My sister has been a resident of Ashley Court for 2 1/2 years where she has found love and care from every member of staff, from kitchen staff through to nursing care.
This has truly been home from home for her and she has been extremely happy.
Sadly she has just passed away but even in their sadness
at losing her they could not be faulted. They were caring and organised and treated arrangements and family with dignity and love.
I would like to think that if I ever needed residential care I would be placed in a home like this one.

The care given to residents is first class. Management and carers are extremely caring and friendly. They treat the residents like family. They show great respect and kindness to all residents. It is heartbreaking to have to place a loved one in a home and it is reassuring to see the care and support
given to residents and resident's relatives. I visit my husband every day and it is comforting to see he is receiving the best possible care.

My mother has been a resident at Ashley Court since November 2017. I have been extremely impressed with the facilities and the care and support provided to my mother is first class. Ashley Court provides a homely and caring environment which I would have no hesitation in highly recommending. It is such
a comfort to me to know my mother is being well looked after.

It took us a long time to find the right home for my husband, but we knew this was the one. He took a time to settle and is now very happy. All staff are great. My husband loves the food. I'm very happy that he is here, safe and sound.

Many thanks.

My father has recently moved to Ashley Court where he is now a resident. Although he has deteriorated with his health, the staff have shown so much care and understanding towards him and his needs. They are also so supportive with us all as a family, showing us compassion and strength.
I would not
hesitate to recommend Ashley Court to anyone who is looking for 'outstanding' care for an elderly relative.

We were told by the hospital that Mum needed to go into a acre home. I am so glad that we chose Ashley Court. All the staff are really lovely and the staff to resident ratio is fantastic.
They can't do enough to help you.
Mum is gluten free and they have even got special biscuits in just for her.
Well
done to everyone.

My mum was a resident in Ashley Court Care Home for 2 and a half years. The care she received was excellent. The staff were caring, kind, considerate and my mum was treated with dignity at all times. The home is bright and airy. The activity staff were wonderful. I will definitely recommend the home.

My mum is well cared for here. The staff are all friendly, welcoming and informative. My mum has taken a while to settle and caused a few headaches for other residents due to her advanced dementia but on the whole, I think the staff are understanding and accommodating.

Since day one this care home has been brilliant. Everyone has been kind, helpful and caring; such friendly staff make life a little nicer at this very difficult time. I cannot fault the care my husband has had in any way. Everything seems to be run very efficiently. The food is great, the home is
very well maintained, lovely gardens. The entertainment is lovely too. All residents seem to be shown great care and attention. First rate!

I have to give all credit to the staff for helping my husband to settle in so quickly. Their caring attitude, friendly approach and, with a dose of humour, encouraged him to relax into his new situation. They also carry out his daily dialysis and spend time talking to him. I am very grateful to all
for making a difficult time so much easier.

Mum moved to Ashley Court just over two years ago. All the staff are friendly and welcoming.
Everyone knows Mum by name regardless of where they are based, be it in the kitchen, laundry, housekeeping or the carers/nursing staff on each floor.
It's good to see such a great team all pulling together.

Current Review Score: 9.8 (9.825)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.8 (9.825) out of 10 for Ashley Court Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 66 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 66 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.825 for Ashley Court Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (656 Excellents x 5) + (117 Goods x 4) + (10 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 783 Ratings = 4.825
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Ashley Court Care Home is based on 66 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 60 registered maximum number of service users is 12, which has been reached with 66 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
