Having a loved one enter the full-time residential care system is extremely traumatic for all involved. Ashley Court has proven to be a steady hand at this difficult time. The staff have always been accommodating to requests, polite and helpful.

The home has been in lockdown and this was my first visit. Everything was just as before but there was the added problem due to Coronavirus. However, there was no need to have worried about anything as lockdown had been managed and people can now visit, under certain conditions. So congratulations must be offered to all at Ashley Court, from the top down, working under very difficult circumstances and coming out with no infections. So thank you, everyone.

Mum's care is exemplary.

The Covid-19 crisis has been a challenge that Ashley Court has coped magnificently with. One member of staff has set up an excellent communications email, Facetime calls and garden visits.

I visited my partner today, as they are now allowed visitors at a distance, all the rules were strictly applied. I was very impressed with the way the rules were strictly applied and the kindness shown to both of us. It was lovely for both of us to see each other again. The care couldn't have been better. My partner looked in good shape and well cared for.

Review from Simon D (Grandson of Resident) published on 13 January 2020 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

My grandma was very ill in hospital and was told by the discharge team she needed to find a care home. We were given a list of three and for obvious reasons, we were very nervous because it was a first for all of us. Having visited all three care homes Ashley Court stood out head and shoulders above the rest with the main difference being the level of care shown during our visit. My Grandma became a resident in November and stayed for six weeks before she finally passed away. I have to say in those six weeks all the staff and management looked after my Grandma with the utmost dignity and treated her as one of their own. I visited the home at least three times a week and on every occasion, she was up, washed, dressed and ready for the day where I'm guessing for someone in their latter years it could have been easier for her to stay in bed. I having nothing but great things to say about this care home and I'd like to say a personal thank you to the manager and her team for just being amazing.

An unfortunate "hiccup" initially was satisfactorily dealt with by all staff starting at the top. Family and friends are happy, my wife could not be in any better accommodation - please keep up the good work.

Her birthday arrangements prove your sincere care and feelings.

I have enjoyed my 2nd stay in the home. Only here for respite so left to my own devices, could come and go as I pleased on days that I was not at the hospital for dialysis. Although I did not need care, what I observed to other clients was excellent. Never smelt unpleasant odours as every corridor has perfume spray and kitchen/laundry is done in the basement. Staff are all pleasant.
