My father has come to Trefoil for temporary respite. All the staff are fantastic with him and myself. He is well looked after, with medication when required, food, snacks and drinks all on hand. Beautifully clean building, very safe with plenty of company and support. His room is very well laid out.
A big thank you to all the carers, managers, reception staff, chef, housekeepers and caretakers. They all work well to look after the service users.

Mum was a respite resident. All staff were welcoming and friendly,y and made every effort to accommodate her needs. Communication was a little patchy and varied, to begin with, but swiftly improved, and staff went out of their way to accommodate regular calls with our Mum. It's a shame that activities
were minimal, but I understand this was not the usual situation due to the circumstances at the time.

We have been trying our best to adhere to guidelines and regulations as pertaining to the care industry. Some of these adjustments did not suit all families and friends. Dad has settled nicely into the home. Communication is frequent and dad's needs are always met. The home is spotlessly clean and they constantly strive to find new ways to improve current practice and improve the lives of all residents.

My mum moved into Trefoil House in January 2020 as sadly she was unable to look after herself at home as she had been diagnosed with Vascular Dementia and Alzheimers. Unfortunately, the Covid 19 pandemic commenced in mid-March and the home was closed due to lockdown. Mum's care prior to Covid was excellent.
During lockdown Trefoil kept us updated with our loved ones well-being with regular e-mails and where possible we have been able to visit via the garden in the summer and window visits during the winter months. POD visits then took place from springtime and finally face to face. Mum's care continues to be excellent. The manager and his staff are always accommodating with their support and time which must have been a challenge recently.

My nan has been at Trefoil House for over a year. A difficult time for any care home with Covid. I am so grateful to Trefoil for keeping my nan safe. They are warriors, all of the staff, exceptional and a certain few of them go over and beyond. Clean establishment, very homely, communication has definitely

My dad was transferred there from a previous home, he has a massive room, 3 x 3-course meals a day, seems to enjoy the food, settled quickly, and staff are friendly and helpful. I get regular emails with any updates happening, which seems to be well handled, and I've been in now twice!

Trefoil is a fantastic home. My mother lived here for just over 3-years. Mum was well cared for, and the staff team are very dedicated and consistent. The home is clean, and the bedrooms are of a good size, there is also a lot of communal space for people to meet. Within the home, there are also some
"quiet" areas, which are good. The gardens are fantastic and different areas have different themes. There were always activities planned. Mum always loved visiting the in-house hairdressers. 10/10 for Trefoil House.

My father enjoyed his stay at Trefoil House very much. He seemed to acclimatise to his new surroundings and daily routine very well. He spoke highly of the food on offer and particularly the very caring, attentive staff, who were available at all times and tended to his every need.

Trefoil House is a very caring and professionally run care home. The staff are especially good and are always cheerful and very helpful. As I live overseas (Australia) it is very comforting to know that Mum is being so well looked after. While I was able to visit Mum earlier this year it was clear that
she was happy and extremely well cared for. Communication from Trefoil is very good and in these COVID times, it is reassuring to know that safety measures are so thorough. I have no hesitation in highly recommending Trefoil and its staff and volunteers.

Mum has been in Trefoil House for almost a year now and has settled into her new home. The carers are kind and the home clean and well cared for. We were always impressed with the way we were welcomed when we visited and how helpful the staff were at settling her in.
Sadly since March, we have not
been able to visit, except for 2 garden visits in July, before care homes in the area were locked down again due to a spike in COVID cases.
The managers and staff have worked so hard to keep residents safe and happy in these difficult times and are always very positive and cheerful whenever I contact them. Obviously someone like Mum with a certain level of dementia does not understand what is happening in the outside world, but when I have had window visits with her lately she seems calm.
I feel Trefoil House has dealt very well with past months of lockdown.

My dad has been a resident at Trefoil House for over three years and I cannot fault the care he has been given. Even through these challenging times, staff have been in contact with me regularly regarding Dad and arranged a video call so I could see him, as well as a visit in person when this was allowed.
The staff are extremely welcoming and the care they provide is exemplary. When you enter the building, it doesn’t feel like a ‘care home’, but a loving home that you would be happy to stay at yourself. It has beautiful gardens for residents to enjoy, as well as a shop, hair salon and bar. I regularly recommend Trefoil to others looking for a home for their loved ones.

I cannot praise Trefoil and the care team highly enough, they have cared for my mother so well since she moved in Jan 2020, and since Covid 19 started and Lockdown was put in place they have done their upmost to keep our loved ones safe, cared for, entertained, and free from the virus, which they have
managed amazingly. I would recommend Trefoil to anyone looking for a well run, homely and caring place for a loved one.

Very caring home with very professional standards. A family atmosphere with a friendly, welcome from all the staff. Modern, bright building with many windows to observe the beautiful gardens. My mum has lived there for over 3-years and she feels very safe and comfortable there. It is a joy to visit
and they are doing their utmost in these difficult times to allow the residents to keep in contact with their family/friends as much as possible.

I was dreading visiting my friends for the first time in Trefoil House. I spent the majority of my visit moved with tears; it was lovely.
Welcomed by friendly staff, a wonderful ambience and my friends looking healthier and happier than I'd ever known, so excited to tell me about the place. The relationships

    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 70 registered maximum number of service users is 14, which has been reached with 19 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
