My dad stayed here for six weeks after being in hospital for a long time. The staff were brilliant with helping rehabilitate my father and get him back up on his feet. The staff were amazing and my father was always so positive about the staff and how great they were. He thoroughly enjoyed the food and stated how friendly and loving all the staff were. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

My dad is very comfortable here, he knows the layout and all the carers and residents very well and is well looked after, although he can at times be challenging, he enjoys a game of dominoes and gets to play often.

I had my great-uncle come to Collinson House Care Home until he passed. He was particularly difficult to manage at night time, the manager assured us that his needs will be met. The staff were patient and friendly and made him happy and comfortable in his last days.

My mum, who is in her mid 90s, has dementia and has been cared for at Collinson House Care Home since July 2020. Throughout this time she has received excellent care and the staff make Mum as comfortable as she could possibly be. Additionally the Collinson House staff have treated me and my father with the utmost consideration and friendship. I cannot speak too highly of the care and service they provide.

My grandad has always cared for my nan but when he took ill at the beginning of the year we knew he needed a break. My nan went and stayed at Collinson House Care Home for just over a week and I cannot fault the team enough. It was so hard for my grandad to leave her but they kept us informed and reassured. Nan seemed happy and settled and we got to take care of Grandad for the week. The staff were kind and patient and very approachable. They took great care of Nan.

I would like to thank the staff at the care home for all the hard work they put in throughout my grandmother's stay. They always went above and beyond to make sure she and others were always happy and content. Much appreciation to you all!

After spending some time in there for respite, I was amazed at how much all the staff had done for him e.g. helping him get dressed. Started eating more food and soon got back to his old self with the attention of all the lovely and helpful staff. Wonderful manager to talk to if you had any concerns. Would highly recommend.

It was always going to be difficult leaving our loved one in someone else's care, but the staff at Collinson House helped make it a little bit easier; particularly over the last year with lockdown, the team went the extra mile to keep us up to date with my mum's welfare and keep us in touch as much as possible, including photos.

We were particularly pleased with the decisions made by the management over the last year with regards to Covid.

Mum was taken in by Collinson House after a short stay in the hospital; she has been a resident since then and has been well looked after.
Even though she can be stubborn, they take great care to understand her needs. They keep me informed of any issues.

Good team.

My mother has lived at Collinson House for two years and I am very happy with the quality of care she receives on a daily basis. I had been looking for a care home for some time and was immediately taken with the level of cleanliness and how professional and friendly the staff were. There was no doubt about it - this was the best care home for my mother. Throughout the pandemic, it's clear to me the staff have worked extremely hard to maintain such a high standard of care. This is an extremely well-run care home.

I would highly recommend this care home to anyone looking to put a family member in. All staff are kind, friendly and generous. All management teams are excellent, they go above and beyond their call of duty and I felt my grandad was very looked after at all times and listened to his requests and well-loved like their only family. Sadly grandad passed in February. I can call my Nan whenever I want without any trouble the carers always have time for me. My nan is still in the home and is very happy. Many thanks to all those who cared for my grandad.

At the beginning of 2020, we had to make the decision to find my nana a care home. My mum came across Collinson House and without hesitation, this was our choice. Nana received the best care we could have hoped for during 2020 with the lockdown. We felt reassured that Nana was in the best place, being looked after. We were told regularly about her well-being. Early December 2020 we were informed that Nana was showing the first signs of passing away. We were able to spend quality time with her over the few weeks she had left. Although this was a sad time for us, we knew she was receiving the best care and this was comforting to us. Thank you all at Collinson House for the compassion you put into your jobs.

Moving my mother in law to Collinson House has been life-changing for me and my family. The staff are kind, compassionate and consistently highly professional. They are warm and caring and my mother in law has grown in confidence and developed secure attachments with carers and other residents. The pandemic has been extremely challenging but the communication honesty and openness of management provides us with peace of mind. Mum is clearly thriving under the care of the Collinson team and physically presents as healthier happier and much more stimulated than where she was previously a resident. She enjoys her food and the social mealtimes and has gained much-needed weight. We are extremely grateful for every member of the team at Collinson.

In 2015 my great aunt selected this home to be her new residence when she was diagnosed with Lewy Body Dementia. From that time to the date of her passing in February 202 we have had and seen quality service at this home. All of the managers over this period have truly displayed professionalism, which motivated and shared amongst the daily staff.

Beautiful establishment. Staff very polite and helpful, not only to the residents but to family, friends and visitors. Always first name terms and staff very caring. Rooms well equipped, beautifully kept, allowing personal items to make the room personal to the resident (excellent home). Staff also spoke several languages, which allowed them to cater to my relative.

So happy with the care my grandad received at Collinson House, the staff were always friendly, helpful, kind, thoughtful and nothing was too much trouble for my grandad or the family. I have never felt more welcomed and looked after on walking through doors. When we left my grandad in the care of staff I always felt reassured that he would be well cared for. Thank you all so much.

My late husband, who had advanced Dementia, received first class care in Collinson House Care Home. He was always treated with skill, understanding, dignity and kindness and was contented and relaxed which gave me peace of mind. It is a very well kept, clean and comfortable home. The rooms are spacious and nicely decorated. As for myself, I was always greeted warmly by all the staff when I visited and made to feel at home.

All the staff are professional, well trained and pleasant. Any queries I had were listened to and dealt with.

What a wonderful place and my Dad has asked me to write so too. Since coming to Collinson House in November 2018 he has never looked better and is enjoying it with people who care for him and make him safe. Thank you; he didn't even want to come to ours at Christmas as you have all made him feel so welcome as well. The staff cannot do enough for Dad or us when we visit. Collinson House is clean, friendly and welcoming. We can't thank you enough. Happy New Year to all the lovely staff and residents in Collinson House.

With poor health, physical disability and two daughters unable to manage we were faced with the sad decision to look for a care home for our dad. Collinson House was local, good CQC and a very fair price - also a small personal unit. We arrived to 'inspect' the home unannounced - The manager reassured us of all our fears. 7 weeks since dad moved in - his health and presentation have greatly improved. The staff are so considerate and friendly - dad has commented on how well they care for him. He's pleased to have his hair cut, complete jigsaws and have his own 52 inch TV in his room. My sister and I are reassured he is safe, cared for and we are no longer exhausted. We can visit whenever we like and I have total trust in the unit - which is priceless. I really would recommend Collinson house - a small, personal unit, with great staff. I could write more but the word limit won't let me :-)
