The team at The Beeches, many of whom have been with the home for years, are passionate about enriching the lives of their residents and empowering them to have an active role to play in how their home is run.

Providing residential, dementia and respite care, the team are proud to involve the residents and their loved ones in every aspect of life at the home. There are resident and family ambassadors, who get involved in everything from taking part in staff interviews to providing feedback on everything from the menus to the activities.

Food is a highlight of the day for many residents – and the chef is an award-winning baker with a passion for cakes! The food is very much shaped by the residents and there is a mixture of traditional dishes, like roasts with all the trimmings, to flavours from around the world if the residents would like to try them – including Caribbean, Greek and Indian.

There are so many activities to enjoy, from pampering in the salon, cheese and wine evenings and live entertainment, to gentle exercise and gardening in the home’s vegetable patch.

The team embrace the community into the home, with visiting students and community volunteers.

The Beeches also has a namaste room, a cinema room and a café, where residents can relax with friends and family, who are welcome at any time, over tea and homemade cake.

The home also has a Magic Table, an amazing piece of technology designed for people living with dementia, where residents can play interactive light games together.

The gardens are a beautiful spot to relax in, with raised planters and wheelchair friendly pathways. Some of the bedrooms, which are all ensuite, have patio access to the gardens.

Our weekly fees are individual to each of our residents and are subject to a pre-admission assessment, which is required to understand the level of care and support needed. Our 2025 weekly care fees for residential care start from £1178 but may be in the region of 30% more*. This depends on your care needs and the type of bedroom that is right for you, from our standard rooms through to our premium bedroom options.

My husband has been in the home since September 2022.
The staff are welcoming and friendly. My husband is well cared for and seems to be content. I know he is warm, fed and safe. He has had a couple of falls due to his condition and the staff have been quick to respond and called the paramedics to
ensure his well-being.
The carers are all lovely, professional and very caring. They all treat my husband with love and understanding.

My father moved into the home last February with complete loss of mobility. He has been cared for extremely well and, despite his declining health, the entire family are delighted with the care he receives.

My mother's health has recently declined dramatically and I want to thank all of the amazing staff for the kindness and support they show, not only to Mom but to family members who visit.
Her dignity is kept intact concerning personal needs, her health needs are provided with frequent consultation
with the GP.
She still has her sense of humour and laughs and jokes with the staff, who she considers friends as she has known many of them since she first went to The Beeches Residential Care Home over eighteen months ago.
I have no hesitation in recommending The Beeches for your loved one. The accommodation, cleanliness, food, activities, hairdresser, cafe and garden all combine to make this a perfect home-from-home.

My father is well looked after by all the employees at the home and he is fond of them. The home is extremely well-run. The only reason I have given four stars is because of the staffing problems when it comes to Dad having appointments at the dentist, hospital etc. We live an hour away from the home
and always try to cover these appointments within the family, as we are told that the home do not have the staff to cover these outside appointments, even though we are prepared to pay. Our fear is there may be occasions when we are totally unable to make the journey due to our own age and medical conditions, which is becoming a problem at the moment.

My mum has been a resident at The Beeches now for 14 months, she is so very happy there and is forever telling us what a wonderful place it is. The staff always have a smile n make time to chat to us. We feel like we are visiting family and I know mum feels like every member of the staff are her family.
If
anyone is looking for 5* care for their loved one, don't look any further.
I can't praise The Beeches enough.

Not enough staff on duty, mother often left in bed till lunchtime.
Management not responding to emails. Items going missing from room- glasses in a named case. TV remote missing. No towels in the bathroom, having to ask for some. Mother's mail last December was found in a drawer in the office. Finally
given to us in following July. The side table missing from the room for three weeks.

My mother was in respite care at the Beeches for 3 weeks from 22nd September to 13th October. She received excellent care and support during this time. The facilities were clean tidy and very well presented. All staff were polite and showed genuine care towards my mother. Thanks to them all.

Staff are friendly and welcoming when entering the home. Carers treat residents with dignity and try to see to all their needs under sometimes very difficult circumstances. Laundry has caused some problems ie clothes not being returned (always named). Never seem to see or discuss residents with night
staff. There have been some nice improvements to the home.

Mom had been at The Beeches for the last 3 years but sadly passed away in April. Mom suffered from Alzheimer's and had only gone to The Beeches for respite care during Covid, but she settled in really well, it was decided to make her a permanent resident. All staff helped mom settle in as it was a difficult
time during Covid for everyone, staff would bring mom to the window so we could wave to each other or to the door so we could have a quick chat. One big positive for me is that all the staff are consistent, they don't have a big turnover of staff, so the staff really get to know your loved one. Every time I visited Mom was clean and her hair brushed, I never had any concern with her hygiene and if you did the issue was addressed straight away. Loved getting the photos on the WhatsApp group of Mom playing games, cooking painting and doing gardening. Thank you to everyone at The Beeches for making mom's last years as happy as they could be.

Excellent facilities. All the staff are really helpful and caring - nothing is too much trouble. Food is really good - always drinks being given and additional food if wanted.

The Beeches Care Home have provided my father a wonderful week stay for his respite care.
From the first day the staff and managers have been thoroughly wonderful and have put all worries and nerves at ease for myself and my mother.
The first time we have ever left my father in anyone else’s care
and he has loved every second of it. The visits and phone calls were spent with my father saying how amazing the place is and how much he has enjoyed it.
Once again we would like to thank the staff and every member of the team of The Beeches for providing my father with the care he needs and giving him a lovely experience, he cannot wait to come back.

Dad was very nervous and cautious about going into a care home and losing his independence. He had misconceptions or what a care home would be like. After 4 weeks in The Beeches Residential Care Home he has changed his opinion completely, he is really happy and feels 'at home' there. The staff are friendly
and helpful to residents and visitors alike. It is really good to see him relaxed and looked after.

My brother came into The Beeches in November 2022. After several falls at home, he decided on full-time care. My wife and myself decided on The Beeches. How lucky are we! He has settled in really well and made some friends. He laughs and jokes with staff. The main view, he is happy. The staff look after
him really well. Warm, caring and helpful - what more could I ask for. Well done, The Beeches.

Mum and Dad moved into The Beeches Residential Care Home at the end of July 2022 and from day one the manager and staff were very welcoming and attentive to Mum and Dad's needs. There were numerous medical issues which resulted in either Mum or Dad or both being taken to hospital and the staff were
very efficient and kept me regularly informed about what was happening. Sadly, Dad passed aways at the home on the 6th of November 2022. The manager and staff were very caring and did everything they could to make Dad comfortable. Mum, who suffers from dementia, is still at The Beeches and is receiving similar excellent care. I would recommend The Beeches to anyone.

We started visiting our friend when she first moved into this area. From the start, we were impressed with the emphasis on safety (Covid precautions) and the friendliness and courtesy demonstrated. The rooms are very pleasant and private and the communal areas are clean and spacious. The staff are welcoming
and friendly and their interaction with residents is respectful and supportive. This is somewhere I would recommend. I have been a district nurse in the past and this home comes high on my list of praise-worthy homes.

I began my career in care as an activities coordinator, discovering the joy of bringing happiness and purpose to residents.


Later, as a care assistant, I had the privilege of ensuring residents received tailored care informed by their unique histories and needs.


In my senior care roles, I embraced a person-centred approach, treating residents like extended family. I believe in truly knowing each individual, and helping them to live fulfilling lives.


Becoming a mother deepened my empathy for families, teaching me to address even small concerns with compassion and care. I always strive to view situations through the lens of how I would want my own loved ones treated.


Now, as Home Manager at The Beeches, I bring years of experience and a passion for creating a vibrant, welcoming environment where residents, their families, and staff feel valued and supported.
