My mother was in respite care at the Beeches for 3 weeks from 22nd September to 13th October. She received excellent care and support during this time. The facilities were clean tidy and very well presented. All staff were polite and showed genuine care towards my mother. Thanks to them all.

Staff are friendly and welcoming when entering the home. Carers treat residents with dignity and try to see to all their needs under sometimes very difficult circumstances. Laundry has caused some problems ie clothes not being returned (always named). Never seem to see or discuss residents with night staff. There have been some nice improvements to the home.

Reply from Kate Yates, Communications and Content Specialist at The Beeches Residential Care Home

Thank you for your review and your praise for our wonderful team and the enhancements we have been making. We are sorry there was an issue with the laundry and will of course pass this on to the home.

Mom had been at The Beeches for the last 3 years but sadly passed away in April. Mom suffered from Alzheimer's and had only gone to The Beeches for respite care during Covid, but she settled in really well, it was decided to make her a permanent resident. All staff helped mom settle in as it was a difficult time during Covid for everyone, staff would bring mom to the window so we could wave to each other or to the door so we could have a quick chat. One big positive for me is that all the staff are consistent, they don't have a big turnover of staff, so the staff really get to know your loved one. Every time I visited Mom was clean and her hair brushed, I never had any concern with her hygiene and if you did the issue was addressed straight away. Loved getting the photos on the WhatsApp group of Mom playing games, cooking painting and doing gardening. Thank you to everyone at The Beeches for making mom's last years as happy as they could be.

Excellent facilities. All the staff are really helpful and caring - nothing is too much trouble. Food is really good - always drinks being given and additional food if wanted.

The Beeches Care Home have provided my father a wonderful week stay for his respite care.
From the first day the staff and managers have been thoroughly wonderful and have put all worries and nerves at ease for myself and my mother.
The first time we have ever left my father in anyone else’s care and he has loved every second of it. The visits and phone calls were spent with my father saying how amazing the place is and how much he has enjoyed it.

Once again we would like to thank the staff and every member of the team of The Beeches for providing my father with the care he needs and giving him a lovely experience, he cannot wait to come back.

Dad was very nervous and cautious about going into a care home and losing his independence. He had misconceptions or what a care home would be like. After 4 weeks in The Beeches Residential Care Home he has changed his opinion completely, he is really happy and feels 'at home' there. The staff are friendly and helpful to residents and visitors alike. It is really good to see him relaxed and looked after.

My brother came into The Beeches in November 2022. After several falls at home, he decided on full-time care. My wife and myself decided on The Beeches. How lucky are we! He has settled in really well and made some friends. He laughs and jokes with staff. The main view, he is happy. The staff look after him really well. Warm, caring and helpful - what more could I ask for. Well done, The Beeches.

Mum and Dad moved into The Beeches Residential Care Home at the end of July 2022 and from day one the manager and staff were very welcoming and attentive to Mum and Dad's needs. There were numerous medical issues which resulted in either Mum or Dad or both being taken to hospital and the staff were very efficient and kept me regularly informed about what was happening. Sadly, Dad passed aways at the home on the 6th of November 2022. The manager and staff were very caring and did everything they could to make Dad comfortable. Mum, who suffers from dementia, is still at The Beeches and is receiving similar excellent care. I would recommend The Beeches to anyone.

We started visiting our friend when she first moved into this area. From the start, we were impressed with the emphasis on safety (Covid precautions) and the friendliness and courtesy demonstrated. The rooms are very pleasant and private and the communal areas are clean and spacious. The staff are welcoming and friendly and their interaction with residents is respectful and supportive. This is somewhere I would recommend. I have been a district nurse in the past and this home comes high on my list of praise-worthy homes.

I visited my friend's mother over a long period of years. I stayed with her for several hours each time I visited at least once a week. During Covid, obviously, restrictions applied and it became close family only. The lady had Covid at least twice. The care was above the expected, all the staff were caring and kind.

I am so pleased at the excellent progress my mom has achieved with the excellent care from all the staff, since coming to The Beeches. The staff are helpful, friendly and there is a really good feeling. My mom loves her cups of tea, even available in the night time. This has really helped her to settle, with company, regular care and good food. All the various teams seem to play a cohesive part in making a whole, excellent package. The care button available 24/7 is a great source of comfort as she used to be frightened of the night times, since her husband died. My mother's confidence has grown along with her wellbeing improved dramatically - GP care and enjoyable hairdresser, manicures, summer fete and jubilee fun.

My mother has only been at The Beeches for a few months, but she has been treated with respect and kindness by all the staff. The facilities are very good and Mother's 90th Birthday celebrations were handled really well by all staff, with an excellent birthday cake as well.

My Mom had been in The Beeches for more than 6 years and sadly passed away there in April. Due to commitments, this review has been delayed, but it's most important to me to write this now for anyone thinking about using this care home for their loved ones. Throughout the whole time there, the service and kindness have been second to none, and all of the staff and management are thoroughly committed to their job and to the residents, the meals were all of a great standard, and even throughout Covid they all seemed to cope and stay smiling. When my mom passed away there, I was on holiday, and they were all amazing and took care of so many things for me which made it so much easier when I got home. My mom suffered from Dementia, and in my opinion, it takes special people to be able to handle this awful disease. There are many things that I would never have been able to handle in those later stages, and over the 6 years, I saw many great things that the staff did to help the residents.

Francesca LileJob Title:Home ManagerJoined: 2017

I began my career in care as an activities coordinator, discovering the joy of bringing happiness and purpose to residents.

Later, as a care assistant, I had the privilege of ensuring residents received tailored care informed by their unique histories and needs.

In my senior care roles, I embraced a person-centred approach, treating residents like extended family. I believe in truly knowing each individual, and helping them to live fulfilling lives.

Becoming a mother deepened my empathy for families, teaching me to address even small concerns with compassion and care. I always strive to view situations through the lens of how I would want my own loved ones treated.

Now, as Home Manager at The Beeches, I bring years of experience and a passion for creating a vibrant, welcoming environment where residents, their families, and staff feel valued and supported.

I am proud of Sanctuary Care’s ethos of enriching lives, and fostering a safe, nurturing home with engaging, personalised experiences that help every resident thrive.
