The place is lovely, all the staff are very friendly and approachable. I really do feel that my mum is well looked after and enjoys being here and has made friends. She particularly enjoys the concerts you have and the garden.

My aunty only has pleasant things to say about The Beeches, when we visit we are always made to feel welcome and at home. The Beeches has a really nice feel to it and observing the way the staff interact with the residents I know my aunty is well looked after.

My aunt moved into The Beeches following the death of her husband of 69 years and was understandably feeling quite concerned about the move. Everyone was so welcoming and supportive right from the moment she arrived. The standard of care, help and understanding shown to her was exemplary. Shortly before she passed away, she had a spell in hospital where she referred to The Beeches as her home - and, thankfully, she was able to return there where everyone went an extra mile to make her last days peaceful and comfortable. I cannot thank the staff enough for the way they cared for her and looked after her during the two months she was at The Beeches.

Reply from Fae Doherty, Senior Marketing Officer at The Beeches Residential Care Home

Dear Susan, thank you so much for your kind words about The Beeches. Whilst I am very sorry to hear of the passing of your Aunt, it is reassuring to hear how well she was treated whilst with us and even as you say, referring to The Beeches as home. I will be sure to pass this onto the team. Best wishes,

I am sorry to say, my mother who was a resident for some 7 weeks, has passed away from her illness.

The home was fantastic from day one up until her last seconds. The care and dignity that all staff provided were second to none. Mom passed away and I'm glad I was present during her last hour. Thank you Beeches Care Home carers, cleaners, kitchen staff and management.

The home is a very friendly, happy home. Always clean and fresh smelling. The staff are very welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. Always a choice on the meal menu and tea, coffee and cake is available in the cafe area for visitors. Mom has been here two years now and likes and enjoys being here. She is looked after very well and all her needs are met.

Since moving into The Beeches in February 2018, Mum is now relaxed, calmer, happier and much more content than she has been for a number of years at home.
Nothing is too much trouble at The Beeches and we're encouraged to treat The Beeches as part of our home as it is Mum's new home.
I can relax knowing Mum is taken care of in such excellent ways.

Thank you so much.

Overall I feel my mum is well cared for and interacts well with the staff. I do feel staff could be more observant to the hygiene needs of my mother. E.g. Occasional dirty clothes, teeth not cleaned properly, although mum is generally self-caring she does need prompting.

Also, I feel as though the smell from some of the toilets is sometimes very offensive. Strong smell of urine.

Francesca Lile
Francesca LileJob Title:Home ManagerJoined: 2017

I began my career in care as an activities coordinator, discovering the joy of bringing happiness and purpose to residents.

Later, as a care assistant, I had the privilege of ensuring residents received tailored care informed by their unique histories and needs.

In my senior care roles, I embraced a person-centred approach, treating residents like extended family. I believe in truly knowing each individual, and helping them to live fulfilling lives.

Becoming a mother deepened my empathy for families, teaching me to address even small concerns with compassion and care. I always strive to view situations through the lens of how I would want my own loved ones treated.

Now, as Home Manager at The Beeches, I bring years of experience and a passion for creating a vibrant, welcoming environment where residents, their families, and staff feel valued and supported.

I am proud of Sanctuary Care’s ethos of enriching lives, and fostering a safe, nurturing home with engaging, personalised experiences that help every resident thrive.
