Excellent care provided throughout her stay. So pleased the home will be providing her end of life care. She is treated with dignity which is very important.

My aunt was a spinster and had no other relatives apart from myself and my brother. She was 96 years of age and a resident here from February 23rd to July 29th, 2021 when she died. Everything about this establishment is excellent and I have no hesitation in recommending it. The building is modern and purpose-built, with lovely rooms and facilities. The food is varied and well prepared and my aunt said there was too much of it. She preferred to stay in her room so I can’t comment on the activities. Much more important, of course, is the standard of care which was first-class. When my aunt became ill in her final weeks, the response from the staff was superb. You simply couldn’t ask for more! Communication was always very good and nothing was too much trouble. Parking is cramped and it can be a long wait before the staff answer the doorbell. I was told it was good and it is!

I am totally happy with the Cedars. The home is very clean and run in a very caring way but still run in a very professional way, which helps the residents enormously. I have admiration for all staff who are very friendly and caring to my wife. 10 out of 10.

Mum has only just moved to The Cedars but from our experiences so far I am extremely impressed. I visited before mum was admitted. The staff were so helpful and made me feel very welcome. I'm looking forward to my mum spending many happy years at The Cedars.

The house is clean, tidy and modern. The staff are friendly, helpful and know the residents.

Only small issue, there has been some lack of communication between staff. Information has become confused or missed. A small issue that has been resolved.

Reply from Joanne Farmer, Manager at The Cedars

Beautiful home, feel very happy with our choice. Staff go out of their way to help with things that our loved ones need. Very caring, take the time to get to know the residents and their likes/dislikes. Nothing too much trouble. Room is adequate/good size. Reasonably clean.

My sister has been at The Cedars for a few weeks and she is happy and well cared for she tells me she likes the staff. I live in the Manchester area and see my sister twice a week and now able to take her out. I find all the staff helpful and able to answer any questions I have.

My dad has been a resident in The Cedars for nearly three years, and we have been extremely pleased with our choice of a care home for him. The rooms and facilities are excellent. Meals are freshly prepared on-site and are always of a very high standard. The staff are simply amazing - their dedication and devotion to the residents are beyond praise, especially during the difficult times, of the recent Covid pandemic. They have all gone above and beyond the call to do everything possible for the safety and wellbeing of the residents. I simply can not fault them.

I am unable to rate everything as I am unable to go into the rooms at The Cedars, due to Covid-19. My dad has only been here for a month, but the staff have been excellent; any queries or concerns I have had, have been addressed. My dad says the food is love, and everywhere looks modern and clean.

My aunt has recently moved into the home and has been given a new lease of life. Although she is having to isolate, we understand the reasons for this, and the staff have been wonderful in making sure that we can keep in regular contact with her. Having spoken to my aunt, she is very happy with the care she is receiving and praises the staff and the food. We look forward to being able to visit her when it is safe to do so.

Mum's been in the Cedars since last November, after a tough time trying to keep her in her own home, during which time she was in and out of hospital. Since she's been there, she has been so well looked after and cared for and I cannot thank the staff enough. Amazing staff, I would definitely recommend.
