Anchor’s The Cedars in Holden Bridge is a purpose-built care home, providing care within a comfortable and relaxing environment. The home has 42 single rooms with en suite wet rooms, fitted furniture and a telephone point as standard.

The Cedars provides residential and residential dementia care, which is personally tailored to meet the individual needs of customers and enhance their quality of life. Meals are cooked freshly on-site each day and reflect residents' dietary requirements and tastes. The home continues to welcome new residents.

The care team works with customers and their loved ones to create detailed care plans to ensure each individual’s health and care needs are continually met. The home provides dementia care and provides on-going training to care staff, ensuring their approach always reflects best practice.

Anchor is England’s largest provider of housing and care for those over 55 years of age and has 60 years of experience as a not-for-profit provider of services to older people. Anchor reinvests the money made into their retirement properties and care homes, to continually raise standards to provide a high-quality service to surpass the customer’s expectations.

Mum has only just moved to The Cedars but from our experiences so far I am extremely impressed. I visited before mum was admitted. The staff were so helpful and made me feel very welcome. I'm looking forward to my mum spending many happy years at The Cedars.

The house is clean, tidy and modern. The staff are friendly, helpful and know the residents.
Only small issue, there has been some lack of communication between staff. Information has become confused or missed. A small issue that has been resolved.

Beautiful home, feel very happy with our choice. Staff go out of their way to help with things that our loved ones need. Very caring, take the time to get to know the residents and their likes/dislikes. Nothing too much trouble. Room is adequate/good size. Reasonably clean.

My dad has been a resident in The Cedars for nearly three years, and we have been extremely pleased with our choice of a care home for him. The rooms and facilities are excellent. Meals are freshly prepared on-site and are always of a very high standard. The staff are simply amazing - their dedication
and devotion to the residents are beyond praise, especially during the difficult times, of the recent Covid pandemic. They have all gone above and beyond the call to do everything possible for the safety and wellbeing of the residents. I simply can not fault them.

I am unable to rate everything as I am unable to go into the rooms at The Cedars, due to Covid-19. My dad has only been here for a month, but the staff have been excellent; any queries or concerns I have had, have been addressed. My dad says the food is love, and everywhere looks modern and clean.

My aunt has recently moved into the home and has been given a new lease of life. Although she is having to isolate, we understand the reasons for this, and the staff have been wonderful in making sure that we can keep in regular contact with her. Having spoken to my aunt, she is very happy with the

Mum's been in the Cedars since last November, after a tough time trying to keep her in her own home, during which time she was in and out of hospital. My nana is a resident of The Cedars and we can’t fault the care she has received. The staff are brilliant and do their utmost to meet her needs to the highest standard. It has been so reassuring to know that she is in safe hands during the Covid-19 outbreak and the fact that they have not yet had a

Mum had been ill in hospital for a few months. Unable to cope on her own she became a resident of The Cedars. The home is lovely. The staff are very caring and patient. There are so many things to do it's great. During this covid epidemic, the staff have been working very hard to keep everyone safe

Our Mum went to stay at The Cedars in February. Its been awful not to see her for the past 10wks but the staff have gone above and beyond to keep us in contact with her. Mum does struggle with being in care but we know she's getting the best care, support and love that's possible in a care environment.
