Cliftonville Care Home - Avery Healthcare

My sister has been at this home for over 2 years, and she has been looked after very well. I have no complaints about her care, I can only praise the staff for the care they have shown, especially during this shutdown, it is well run, and always clean.

I am so happy and relieved that she is in this home and really couldn't have asked for a better place for her to be, especially during the recent pandemic!

Whenever we visit, the staff are always pleasant, cheerful and informative. You are always made welcome and the residents are kept lovely and clean and well-fed. The home always smells lovely and the rooms are spotless.

Excellent care provided across the board, from personal care to individual and group activities. Activities have obviously been affected during this difficult time with external entertainers and activity providers no longer able to visit. However I’ve observed staff pulling together to ensure in-house activities and entertainments continue - painting, cake decorating, flower arranging, games, hairdressing, celebrating personal milestones and national events - all have taken place throughout the year. Although frustrated at our inability to personally visit, I know my mother is in safe hands and well cared for.

Since having the care of my lovely mum, I have been nothing but impressed by Cliftonville. The fabric of the building and facilities are excellent and the standard of cleanliness superb. What truly stands out, however, is the wonderful staff! Everyone has shown such patience, empathy and understanding in these most difficult times and I have witnessed gestures of truly loving care towards my mum that is so very much appreciated. Do not hesitate to choose Cliftonville for a loved one ... it's a very special place!

My husband has dementia, and it is so very comforting to me to see how contented he appears. The staff are wonderful with him, and because of his dementia, this is not that easy at times - thank you.

I have truly been blessed to have found Cliftonville Care Home. My wife who has Alzheimer's has been with them since early July and without exception, the entire staff have made our traumatic journey so much easier than it might have been. Knowing my wife is afforded every consideration whether it be emotionally, physically and generally truly is a massive comfort. The care that she receives is second to none, and I thank them all for their love and support.

The service users are all treated as individuals with dignity, and their needs are always meet.

Cliftonville is a warm, welcoming, clean, friendly place to visit. The staff are always smiling and very helpful. I sometimes have lunch with my sister and the food is always delicious. She is very happy here. Cliftonville is the prime example of how every care home should be.

Myself and my family are extremely impressed with all aspects of Cliftonville from the housekeepers to the Activity staff, nothing is too much trouble. An amazing first-class care home.

Grandma stayed for respite and she loved it here. There was a great atmosphere and plenty to keep her busy. The food was excellent and the home was very clean.

Dad moved fairly recently from upper residential to nursing. The staff are very caring towards the residents and welcoming to their friends and relatives. It is reassuring to know that Dad is being looked after in a home that he has been happy in for the past 3 and a half years. I must also mention the pink ladies who do a fantastic job keeping the residents entertained.

Cleaning staff are brilliant too. So fastidious. They do a good job.

Mums clothes go missing all the time, even though they are named. Her teeth went missing after having them for only 3 weeks! Always finding other residents clothes in mums room and they are always named too! I have had to ask many times for the room to be cleaned and bed to be changed (as dirty) or made. I do believe the staff could pop in on residents more after dinner for a quick 'how are you' instead of sitting at the front desk. The Pink Ladies are amazing and always make the resident happy.

My mother has moved, relatively recently, from residential to the dementia floor, where the lady and her young carers do an amazing job. Residents are treated with care and dignity and very much according to their various individual needs. All staff invariably greet the residents by name. I have been inspired at dinner time by the attention, care and help as the residents' needs vary so. The activity ladies include mum in a variety of activities and she loves being taken into the garden.

As much as I would have preferred my aunt to remain independent in her own home, when that became impossible it is reassuring to know that the next best thing is as good as this. Thank you to all the staff here for helping her to settle in.

Thank you for the care and kindness you gave to my father it was such a comfort to know he was so well cared for in his last days.

I would recommend this home to all.
