The management and staff are excellent and very approachable. My mother has been in the home for almost 6 years and recently broke her hip. She is now up and waling unaided due to the excellent care. Dealing with dementia patients is very demanding but I have never seen the staff being other than very
patient and understanding. I am friendly with many of them.

Since my mum came into respite she has had excellent care, the staff and medical staff and manager have done more for her than the carers at home did in a year. We have found out just how poorly she really is and got help and assistance straight away. Staff are caring and friendly and very hard working.

Fantastic care for my mother-in-law for 18 months - second to none - would highly recommend it. All carers have done an excellent job - both my husband and I can't thank everyone enough!

My wife moved into Beechdale Manor in April following a very bad experience at a competitive care home nearby. From my very first visit to Beechdale I was impressed. The manager could not have been more honest and obliging, every request has been granted and his caring attitude percolates through all
of the staff. It must be difficult for them to treat each resident as the only person they have to care for but they manage this with what appears to be such ease. The food is not only very varied and nourishable but served hot and eye appealing. The cleanliness of the entire building is a real credit to the housekeepers. The nurses care about their patients well being. Organizing outside help from professionals such as physiotherapists is not only welcomed but encouraged. I cannot heap enough praise on Beechdale and my wife's condition since she has been a resident there has improved beyond my wildest dreams. So thank you, thank you to every one of the incredible staff.

I have found, to my delight, a care home that is absolutely brilliant.

This care home is wonderfully clean and the food is great. I am delighted my sister is being taken care of here. To the staff - I thank them all.

My mum celebrated her 100th birthday on 19th April and the party that was put on for her was exceptional. There was everything anyone could want - a beautiful cake, lots of tasty dishes, champagne and the room was set out in a great party style. I could not fault the amazing staff. They are all so kind
and considerate. This is the best care home I have ever been to and I have been to many.

My later mother was a resident at Beechdale Manor Care home for the last four years. During this time, it was my experiences that my mother was settled and happy. Indeed, it became her home. I put this down to the quality of life she had, due to her surroundings, activities and the care she received.
I would like to commend all the staff for their diligence in the care they have shown, providing a safe, stimulating, loving environment, treating my mother like family, with respect and dignity. In her last few days, my brother and I had first-hand experience of the professionalism and care shown by all staff at Beechdale Manor.
I would like to thank you all. Thank you.

My Grandma stayed at the home for approximately three months in 2019. I think anyone would struggle to find a better home.

My Grandma had a lovely airy room with en-suite and a patio door overlooking the garden.

But more importantly, everyone at the home, irrespective of their role, took time

to provide my grandma with the highest standard of care, attention and dignity during her time here. Nothing was too much trouble to meet my Grandmas individual needs which were fully tailored. Although my Grandma was only there for a few months, it was clear from her arrival this home is set apart from others I have visited on her behalf - it’s the staff at all levels - they truly believe in what they do and demonstrate they care.

Sadly my Grandma passed away, but I was able to seek solace in the knowledge that she was looked after to the highest standard during her time here. Words cannot express enough my gratitude to everyone at Beechdale Manor Care Home and the care they gave my Grandma.

Beechdale Manor Care Home felt lovely from the first visit. The staff (from cleaner, kitchen, carer, nurses to the admin/management staff) couldn't do enough for my mother-in-law.
The rooms are airy and clean, the food good.
I cannot fault the care, plus they tried to involve her in things.

My Mum has been at the home since last March. I am very pleased with all aspects of Mum's care. The staff are helpful and kind, with the care of Mum. I am always informed if there is anything wrong with Mum. I am very happy with the care Mum receives from all the staff at the home and have no worries
about Mum staying there.

My father has been in Beechdale Manor for eight months now and we viewed five homes when we were looking to place him. On our initial visit, we found a warm feeling when we first walked in. Everyone had a smile on their faces and it was a very friendly atmosphere. It has proved our instincts right as
the care he has received has been excellent.
All of the carers are very professional and have a great understanding of my father's dementia. They show a great respect for his dignity and, as I visit regularly, I notice the extremely warm and friendly approach extends to dealing with the needs of all the residents.
He is very secure on the first floor and his room has en-suite wet room facilities and is always kept clean. There are two lounges on his floor and a cafe with great views across the school playing field where my father loves to sit and watch the children play football while we have a cup of tea on my visits.
I will certainly recommend the home to others.

Current Review Score: 9.1 (9.060)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.1 (9.060) out of 10 for Beechdale Manor Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.6 out of 5 from 8 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.4 out of 5 from 8 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.645 for Beechdale Manor Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (61 Excellents x 5) + (31 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 93 Ratings = 4.645
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.415 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Beechdale Manor Care Home is based on 8 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.8
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 65 registered maximum number of service users is 13. 8 Positive Reviews ÷ 13 = 0.615
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
