I would like to say how kind everyone is at Anisha Grange Care Home in Billericay, not only to my mother but also to all members of our family.
In particular, I would like to mention one of the carers on duty on Sunday (15th July 2018). She went over and above what would be expected, and was extremely
helpful, even though it was a mealtime and therefore a very busy time. She showed such empathy and understanding with Mum and also went all the way to the laundry to collect something for us.
I have asked the Care Home reception to pass on my gratitude to her - Anisha staff are the best!

My Mother had been very ill before moving into Anisha Grange, she had been in hospital for 3 months having suffered 2 strokes. Since moving there at the end of January we have seen her health improve from week to week. She was initially there to see how she would like living there and is so happy with
the care given and all the teams there working so hard to keep the residents well cared for and happy with all the different activities on offer. She could not imagine going back to her flat where she was living before her illness.

I can’t recommend Anisha Grange highly enough. My grandmother stayed for respite care for a month and to quote her “I feel like I was living a life again”. Wonderful friendly and caring staff, lovely setting and excellent facilities.

The staff are wonderful, at all times looking to include residents in activities and encouraging them in all aspects of life in Anisha. Communication with family is very good.

There are occasions where they could perhaps be more thoughtful in respect of ensuring meals are eaten if residents need

encouraging. Undoubtedly a safe environment.

My father loves his home at Anisha Grange. He is treated with kindness and respect by all the staff and enjoys the many varied activities and entertainment.
I have never seen him enjoy his food so much as he does now. The menu is well thought out and the meals well prepared. He loves to sit in the
Garden Cafe in the afternoon with a piece of home made cake.
It gives me great peace of mind to know he lives in a beautiful environment and is so well-cared for by his ‘Anisha Grange family’.

Can't recommend Anisha Grange enough. My uncle came to live here in August 2017, since living here he has thrived. I never thought he would be so happy, he has become much more sociable joining in loads of activities and enjoying them. The staff are so caring and helpful to us and my uncle and any problems
are dealt with straight away. Fab place for my uncle and we are very happy with it.

Since my Nan has come to the home she has put on weight. She's been taking daily activities which have helped her tremendously with her mobility and mental cognitive reactions/conversation. She has great company. The staff are so friendly and caring. I feel so happy to leave my Nan here. So much better
than her being alone in her little flat. I'd stay here.

My Aunt has been here for 3 weeks, it's been very hard for her to leave her home but the staff have done there utmost to keep her happy and safe. The food is outstanding. All meals are tender and tasty. The menu is different every week. The cafe area has every drink you can think off. Fresh cakes and
biscuits too. Lots of activities going on. Very clean and tidy it's like home from home. Everyone is so friendly and caring. We couldn't have chosen a better home.

My mother has been a resident for 9 months now and we have noticed a marked improvement in her physical abilities, state of mind and appetite. When she was at home, she was lonely and bored but at Anisha Grange, she enjoys the range of activities on offer with her new friends.

The café is perfect

for visitors as my mother can keep her bedroom private. All the staff are thoughtful, diligent and friendly and as a family, we are all very pleased with mum's new home.

Staff are very caring and well trained. They are friendly to visitors and try to make the care home as homely as possible. The surroundings provide a comfortable environment with beautiful gardens. There is a good variety of activities and residents are encouraged to participate. There have been several
changes in the management team recently however, Hallmark are endeavouring to make these as unobtrusive as possible.

My mother has been in Anisha Grange for nine months and has really settled in well. She really enjoys the environment, the activities and the way the staff care for her, which is FANTASTIC.
Mum takes part in many of the activities (and there are things on every day). She says the food is very good
and, it has to be said, neither of us can think of anywhere that she would be better off.
Final words, the staff there are LOVELY.

Today, we attended a special birthday celebration for one of the residents. It was a pleasure to be welcomed so warmly by all the staff.
The party room had been sympathetically decorated and the staff did their utmost to ensure the resident was happy and enjoying the occasion.
Well done to all staff
who contributed to this day. A most wonderful atmosphere made his day special not just for the recipient but for all guests who attended.

Current Review Score: 9.7 (9.667)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.7 (9.667) out of 10 for Hallmark Anisha Grange is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 15 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.8 out of 5 from 14 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.871 for Hallmark Anisha Grange is calculated as follows: ( (164 Excellents x 5) + (8 Goods x 4) + (4 Satisfactorys x 3) + (1 Poors x 2) + (1 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 178 Ratings = 4.871
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.796 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Hallmark Anisha Grange is based on 14 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 3.85
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 74 registered maximum number of service users is 14.8. 14 Positive Reviews ÷ 14.8 = 0.946
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
