I joined the team in April 2021 and my role is to look after the home’s finances and administration. I have worked in administration for over 20 years and here at Marnel I lead a team of 2 lovely ladies. Tasks related to administration are very important to keeping a business running efficiently. Having the responsibility to complete tasks on time and in a quality manner without much oversight is crucial and really rewarding for me personally.
This is my first role in a care home and I am loving getting to know the residents and their families. I interact with the residents on a daily basis and you will often find me singing and dancing in one of the lounges when we have entertainers in and I am happy to join them on trips out. My door is always open and I am always happy to help.
I have worked with the elderly for more than forty years in various roles, gaining varied knowledge and experience. Before that, I worked for a fine dining restaurant which is where I gained my skills and confidence.
