My uncle needed care and company and he now has both. Marnel Lodge is a lovely care home. The rooms are lovely so are the staff, nothing is too much trouble. It is welcoming and my uncle loves it and he has improved in many ways. All the residents are happy and the food is excellent.

The experience is positive. The facilities are well developed and kept in a clean manner. The staff are friendly and make my mother feel comfortable and safe.


Possible areas for improvement are:
-Somehow to get the residents to take some more gentle exercise.
-Stop items going missing.

Since recovering from skin graft surgery after 2 falls, mum has come on leaps and bounds. Being in Marnel Lodge she is chatty and friendly and the staff are fabulous with her. Everything/one is warm, friendly, compassionate and as relatives, we feel welcome. Organised events are superb and always well
attended. It's the best place I could have chosen for mum.

Since my Grandmother has moved into Marnel Lodge she has been so happy. The staff are absolutely fantastic and the building and garden are beautiful. It really is a place that cares and I couldn't think of anywhere else for her to live. I would definitely recommend.

A wonderful home. My aunt had to go in after always saying I am never going into a care home. She loved it there. The carers/nurses/management were all caring, considerate, helpful and attentive. Nothing was ever too much trouble. A truly lovely place with a nice garden too. When I get older I would
not hesitate to choose Marnel Lodge as the home I would go into to!

I have worked in administration for over 20 years and here at Marnel I lead a team of 2 lovely ladies. Tasks related to administration are very important to keeping a business running efficiently. Having the responsibility to complete tasks on time and in a quality manner without much oversight is crucial and really rewarding for me personally.


This is my first role in a care home and I am loving getting to know the residents and their families. I interact with the residents on a daily basis and you will often find me singing and dancing in one of the lounges when we have entertainers in and I am happy to join them on trips out. My door is always open and I am always happy to help.
