Mum moved to Warren Lodge in September. Although due to the covid pandemic I haven’t been allowed inside the premises; I now have peace of mind as mum is receiving regular meals and medication. Assistance and encouragement with her personal hygiene. I know staff are around in case mum should slip/fall.
She is able to participate in activities. Mum had always attended a charity, and this obviously was stopped with covid. Being isolated greatly effected her dementia, and I now see mum much more settled and contented.
The staff have always been very courteous and polite. I fully appreciate the stringent measures in place to keep the residents safe. I have been able to do window visits and a zoom call. Nothing will ever replace a hug, but these are unprecedented times, and I can only say thank you.

Since my mum moved to Warren Lodge in April 2020 we have been impressed by the care, compassion and communication from all the team at the home. With all the issues around Covid in all our minds they have carried on working tirelessly to keep both residents and families happy and up to date as much
as they physically can.
Hats off to the great team at Warren Lodge - I hope I can come and see my mum soon but just as importantly, see the staff to thanks them in person.

Like so many people I haven't been able to visit my sister for several months, which is heartbreaking, but I know she is always well cared for and the staff go that extra mile to make sure she is happy and comfortable. These are unprecedented times, which has called for what I can only describe as
heroism in our care sector; at Warren Lodge there are many heroes and I will always be eternally grateful to them. They have all been full of praise for the manager, who they all say is 'very professional and always puts the residents first'. Thank you so much to all of them, they are amazing.

I wanted to thank the whole team at Warren Lodge for the great work they are doing at what must be extremely stressful and difficult during the Covid-19 crisis.
My family and I are kept regularly updated with news and photos of our loved ones, along with information about all the precautions taken
at this time.
It is very comforting for us as we are unable to visit at the moment.

In this crazy time we find ourselves, I thought I would take a moment to thank all the staff at Warren Lodge for the kindness and consideration that you have shown and continue to show our step-father and our family whilst dealing with this incredible invisible disease.

We all have so much respect

for the job you do, which you go about without question or hesitation.

When the madness subsides, I hope that each and everyone health care worker is recognised for the part they played and continue to play to look after our most vulnerable.

Would I recommend Warren Lodge to others? In a heartbeat - Thank you, thank you, thank you, you are a credit to us all. xxxxx

The care and ancillary staff were extremely kind to my husband. He demanded and received lots of loving attention. He fell frequently and challenged them to get his needs met. Despite this every day they told him they loved him, he craved this and appreciated the same. The food was excellent and the
two charming cooks would ensure that anything my husband asked for was served up to him. My special thanks go to the Activity Staff as they consistently tried to get him to smile and to involve him in music sessions and quizzes. There was always a warm welcome from the Senior Receptionist as I entered the home. That was so important to me as the dementia journey of your loved one is one you never expect or are prepared for. During the "lockdown" and not able to visit him, followed by his death of Coronavirus, this has left me in total shock and despair. Many of the care staff have sent their condolences and have contacted me with love, memories and kindness.

We as a family can not thank Warren Lodge enough for the love and support they showed not only to my Dad, but also our extended family who visited at all hours of the day and night. The care was second to none, and he was treated with dignity until the end. In such a horrendous situation, you all made
it more bearable for which we can’t thank you all enough.

I thought the care and attention given to residents was amazing.
All staff seem to genuinely care.
My nan seems to be much calmer in her surroundings which puts my mind at ease knowing she is being cared for by caring people.
Her room is nice, bright and homely.
The one to one care means so much
to me.
Well done to all the staff at Warren Lodge, you are all heroes.

Mum was a resident of Warren Lodge for nearly a year, sadly passing away recently. I'd like to acknowledge all the staff at the home, the care she received was excellent. When she was no longer able to get out of bed her room was decorated including the ceiling with paper flowers, birds and butterflies
to cheer her. Staff spent time with her and in some cases read to her when their shift was finished. These gestures made all the difference not only to the resident but to their family.
Mum made new friends, enjoyed the lavender and plants in the garden and had a memorable 90th birthday party catered by the home.

When mum became very poorly the Nurses went above and beyond the call of duty, we felt supported in every way. Finally, when Mum passed away she and the family were treated with love and respect.

Thank you to all at Warren Lodge for taking care of Mum so well and for the hugs, tea and supportive chats along the way.

My mother was a resident at Warren Lodge from February 2002 until her death in September 2018 and during her time as a resident, I cannot fault her care. She was treated with the utmost respect and kindness. Her personal care was faultless, whether it was changing her, moving her or feeding her.
The
home was always immaculately clean, the staff always there for not only my mother but our family as well and nothing was ever too much trouble.
My mother passed away this month and for the last two weeks of her life, which was not an easy time for any of us the staff went above and beyond their care for her. They were also there for the family and could not have done enough for us, whether it was supplying drinks, offering food and a bed for the night or just giving us a cuddle when we needed it. I am so pleased that mum spent her last days at Warren Lodge with staff who really cared for her than in a hospital ward.
Thank you, Warren Lodge, I cannot recommend you highly enough.

My dad is on respite care due to my mother's knee operation. My dad has been well cared for up to date, with most of his needs.
My dad is not too keen to go out to play as in mix with others. However, the home has tried their best! Only concern is his help button has been out of action and not replaced.
Thank you for all your efforts.

My Uncle was resident at Warren Lodge from 2014 to May 2018. He had life-long Type 1 diabetes and vascular dementia. It took a few weeks for him to get to know his way around and where his room was, then it was like he'd always lived there. He ate 3 healthy, nutritious meals per day with snacks in between.
He even had a hairdresser. At Easter and Christmas, there is always a party with the chef preparing lots of special food for family and friends, on these occasions and of course on his birthday and a summer open day. His palliative care was excellent, he was treated with such dignity and respect. He passed away with his window open on a beautiful sunny day and the staff at this critical time were just wonderful, they carried on with their duties for him and helped us through it too with dignity and kindness and care. I can't praise the staff enough. It may be said that it is too expensive here, but considering the care for one person on a 24-hour basis, the Value for Money is Excellent.

I was so delighted to learn that my mother was playing cards with other residents till after midnight last week, requesting more snacks and drinks at around 10.30pm! She is wracked with dementia, I am wracked with guilt that I can't look after her. However, this seems to prove that, in fact, she is
much better being looked after by the professionals at Warren Lodge than anything I could do.
Kindness, endless patience, warmth and laughter are the order of the day at Warren Lodge. Oh and great food and a nice room too. Dementia is the cruellest of diseases and there are no perfect solutions, but this is really as good as it possibly could be. I am endlessly grateful to the team at Warren Lodge. Thank you.

Current Review Score: 9.6 (9.643)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.6 (9.643) out of 10 for Warren Lodge Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.7 out of 5 from 16 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.9 out of 5 from 16 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.743 for Warren Lodge Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (148 Excellents x 5) + (37 Goods x 4) + (6 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 191 Ratings = 4.743
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.9 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Warren Lodge Care Home is based on 16 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 3.9
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 64 registered maximum number of service users is 12.8, which has been reached with 16 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

I love the fact that no two days are the same. I enjoy seeing how the care we provide makes a difference in our residents' quality of life. I’m passionate about elderly and dementia care, quality improvement and the provision of compassionate person-centred care to all our residents. I’m also passionate about motivating team members for career progression, team member well-being and clinical education and improvement.

I’m a family-oriented person, I love travelling and meeting new people. I have recently relocated from London to Kent and I’m loving it.
