Mum lived at Heather Grange, in the Garden Suite, for eighteen months up to 1 May when she passed away there, in her own room, aged 97.

Mum's move to Heather Grange made the final phase of her life more positive than I could have possibly imagined. She quickly settled in and made lots of friends amongst both the residents and the staff. It was a joy to see her enthusiastically join in the many activities that are on offer.

The accommodations are first class and the care team first class plus. They are so positive and friendly, and the quality of leadership is very reassuring. I always left after a visit feeling very upbeat and positive.

After a short spell in hospital, mum returned to Heather Grange to end her days. The care and attention provided at the end of mum's life was exceptional. She couldn't have been anywhere better.

The resident Chaplain, Nat, rounded off this final phase of mum's life by presiding over the funeral, making it a very personal and special occasion.

Few words as the home merits much more. My daughter is an ACP and as she said all care homes should be like Heather Grange.

Mum loved Heather Grange from the moment she arrived. Throughout our stay, the team were caring, kind and respectful at every interaction. Mum relaxed and was comfortable with many visitors who were made to feel welcome, also. As a family, we created fabulous memories in a dreadful, difficult time for Mum. Mum had good & bad days, always feeling safe and never alone. Mum always said she didn't want to pass in a care home, if she was here today, I am sure she'd to say I should have gone to Heather Grange.

The care give by the staff is excellent my parent has improved in health and wellbeing. They take care to treat each resident as an individual. The activities done don't suit everyone but care is given to have a wide variety of things for them to do so that there will always be something of interest for them. This is such a friendly place for residents and also for their families, it is such a worry that you're doing the right thing for them, but in our case it certainly is.

From the time of my first visit to Heather Grange, I have been impressed by the commitment of all staff in making residents central to everything that they do.

The HG Team are all welcoming, friendly and professional from the management, carers, cleaners, activities team, etc.. Nothing appears too much trouble, and Mum loves joining with the staff and appreciates their patience. I could not have Mum being looked after better and in safe hands... wonderful!

If you are looking for a beautiful, clean care home with friendly, caring, knowledgeable and professional staff then take a look at Heather Grange. From the moment we looked around the home we knew it was the best home for my dad to stay to keep him living well with dementia. During his time there he enjoyed lots of the activities and outings. All the staff were always very supportive and welcoming to the family, especially to my mum who visited my dad most days. We were always updated on how he was doing and when needed they arranged for all his health/medical needs to be treated by the nurse/GP who visited the home. Whilst there, my dad enjoyed a drink of his favourite tipple and a singalong to many of his favourite songs. Being cared for at Heather Grange meant that my dad had the best possible care away from his own home in his later stages of dementia. Thank you to all the hardworking staff for all they did for my dad and family, especially the care and love shown during his final days.

Since my mother arrived here in April, we have seen an amazing transformation in her (beneficial). I feel the main reasons for this are social integration and practically the activities. To see the joy on her face while holding a newborn chick and the pride on her face while displaying her flower arrangement was a joy for us to behold. She always looks immaculately groomed and clean. Thank you.

Our father spent the last two weeks of his life in Heather Grange after a sudden and drastic decline in his health. I honestly don't believe there could have been a better place for him to spend his final days. I would like to personally thank all of the staff at the home on behalf of my whole family.

The staff really build great relationships with the residents and get to know them individually. My nan loves to dance and often finds staff putting on music and dancing with her and she is always smiling and happy. They also throw wonderful events for them. It’s a really warm welcoming environment and nan is treated like family we are very happy with the service.

I looked around various homes in the area and found Heather Grange to be the best. Since my mother moved in, I have not been disappointed. All the staff have been extremely supportive of me and my mother, and the care and support given have been excellent by all. Also, the activities have been wonderful, it is a pleasure to see my mum engaged.

Outstanding care facilities, whether it’s short or long-term care the staff treat the residents with dignity and respect to the Individual needs of each person.
A full program of entertainment and daily activities kept all the residents' spirits up.
The daily menu was varied and the food was of a good standard.
All staff from cleaners, admin and caregivers were more than happy to have a chat and make you a brew.
It’s a home-from-home kind of place.

A happy home.

Mum is a resident and as a family we are extremely happy with the care and attention she receives at Heather Grange. The staff go above and beyond to meet her needs, she goes on regular trips and there’s lots of activities going on which she joins in with. She’s safe, happy, and well cared for, we couldn’t ask for more.

My mum had been a resident here now for nearly a year, she is well looked after and cared for and is ultimately happy. My mum has dementia but she is free to access any part of the home that she wants to when she wants. I love that she goes out during the week with staff and all the different entertainment that happens to keep her mind stimulated. Staff are always kind, caring, and genuinely caring and nothing is too much trouble. I have visited many care homes in my career and this one is far superior because of the person-centred care people receive. I honestly have no worries when I leave my mum after a visit. She is always clean, her nails are painted, and her hair looks nice.

Came into the care system 8.5 months ago having been diagnosed with Kursakoff Syndrome. Been here for 6 months and being born very locally, find living here to be almost like living at home. The staff are very approachable, helping solve any issues I may have. Cannot fault the care home at all.
