Sadly, after 9 months, Mom has had to leave Briarscroft to go into a nursing home. During her time at Briarscroft, Mom improved physically, made friends, and was treated with care and dignity. I cannot praise the staff and management enough for their care of Mom. Nowhere is perfect but Briarscroft comes very close. We are very sorry that Mom is unable to spend longer in this wonderful home.

Nan has recently moved into Briarscroft following a hospital admission. As someone who is young and new to the whole process, Briarscroft have been great. The staff supported me through the whole process to make me feel at ease as a relative as well as going above and beyond to make Nan feel part of the home and adapting their style of work to meet her individual needs. There's a lovely family atmosphere at Briarscroft. The majority of staff are approachable and proactive. You actually forget it's a residential home. It's very modern and clean. There are multiple areas to relax and any concerns or requests are listened to. Food is freshly prepared and a there is a dedicated activities coordinator on site. I have no concerns at all really. Communication is great and the staff seem to have a good working relationship as well as with other healthcare professionals. Although it's early days, I am confident Briarscroft is the right place for Nan and that they'll continue to maintain their high standards moving forward.

Mum is so happy at Briarscroft. There is a great feel to the place - hubbub as I call it. Things going on, people chatting. The staff are very caring and when I sit down with Mum for a coffee, she often says "I am very lucky to be here - I like it here". You can't ask for any more!

From the time you walk in, you are greeted by the staff who are positive and friendly. The residents seem relaxed in their environment given their medical conditions. It is a caring environment and the staff are very knowledgeable and non-intrusive.

My husband has moderate stages of Alzheimer's dementia and has settled very well into Briarscroft Care Home. The facilities are modern and spacious. Activities are arranged frequently for the residents, but there is no pressure on residents to participate if they do not wish to. There are ample "quiet spaces", easily accessible for the residents. The focus is on their needs and staff are patient and flexible. The food is very good. My husband has recently suffered from UTIs (urinary tract infections) and the staff have responded quickly and obtained treatment from the GP.

I have always found the staff and management to be helpful and caring. The level of care shown to my mother has always been satisfactory although at times I think the food could be better, but overall I am very satisfied with the care home.

Briarscroft Residential Care Home is a caring and compassionate home where nothing is too much trouble. The staff are friendly and approachable and always willing to help. The tea room/bistro is a lovely welcome and enables us to spend time with Mom and have a snack at the same time. Mom is settled and well cared for and seems very content and happy. We come away from the home knowing she is in capable hands.

The care for my Nan, now that she has been moved from the more advanced dementia side to the more mild side has been very good. The staff are all very friendly towards the family and Grandma. The woman on reception during the weekend is very lovely. She is such a kind and gentle woman and she is very good with my Grandma as she can sometimes be difficult.

When we visit everything seems fine, my sister is cared for and happy in her own world of dementia. Staff are always polite and happy to answer any questions. As we travel a long way, a drink would be appreciated, but the home is here for my sister, not us.
