Alexandra View is a 62 bedded home organised over three floors. This purpose-built home accommodates service users with general residential and nursing and Dementia residential and nursing needs on a permanent, short stay or respite basis.

It was difficult when it agreed mum would need professional care. I found staff very supportive to family as well as mum. At first, it was hard to visit knowing she would stay there. Staff were excellent reassuring me all the way and helping me, giving me a synopsis of mum's day. I am happy she is very
well cared for.

Since the takeover almost 2 years ago, there has been a huge change in how the home is run. The changes are highly positive and the staff are fantastic with my dad now. He tends to be very vocal and can make people jump. However, through this distress, other's and staff chat with him and see to all
care needs. After a short stay in the hospital, the home staff were very quick and responsive with realising his health was not good and got him the medical help needed at the time.

I understand a little better of how old and infirm people are cared for. It takes people of a special quality to undertake this difficult job of a variety of ailments to contend with. My experience visiting this care home has been an eye-opener, with some staff having the self-same problems at home
and some have illnesses themselves.
They still manage a smile and a song, maybe more staff would be helpful.

It was a difficult decision to place my dad into care. After viewing several homes we decided on Alexandra View. We soon realised we had made the right decision, the care and support from the staff was second to none. My dad was very happy and settled in very well. He loved the staff and he held a special

My mother has been a resident at Alexandra View Care Centre for three years over this time she has been treated with dignity and her needs are met and care given to a high standard with respect.
During periods of illness changes have been recognised quickly, assessment and treatment timely. Staff are
very approachable and deal quickly with our concerns, also establish contact quickly in times of conditional change.
Staff are all visible, friendly and keen to assist. Residents are a priority however their care attends to the family even to contact me when my dad didn't visit at his usual time checking he was well! Above and beyond care.

My auntie is well looked after by the staff and is given plenty of support at all times.
Activities are excellent and they involve my auntie at all times.
The manager is very nice and helpful and interacts with residents and family.
I feel there could be room for improvement with the laundry as cloths
go missing and never seem to be replaced.

Overall my visiting experience to the home was very good. The atmosphere as you enter the building is very pleasant and welcoming. The staff are very friendly and supportive and will help or advise you in anyway they can.

Very happy with the care that my grandmother is receiving. When entering the home there is a cheerful and friendly atmosphere. The home is clean and smells fresh. The staff are all very helpful with any questions I have regarding my nana.
