On walking into De Brook Lodge you are greeted with a lovely warm welcome. This carries on throughout the home. The care my mother-in-law gets from all the staff is 100%. It's such a lovely, friendly, warm home.
Thank you for leaving a review, it’s good to see we make such a good first impression that carries through the whole home.
The reason why I chose De Brook Lodge as temporary respite for my father is simple. Firstly, I was welcomed with an open-door policy, by the manager, to have a look around without an appointment. Confidence there's nothing to hide. The decor is fresh, clean, open and inclusive. Staff naturally shared their lived experiences of family members, past and present, enjoying living here. The rooms are equivalent to hotel standards. The care and supportive considerations from staff to residents are effortlessly observed. A totally inclusive care home.
Thank you so much for your kind words. We always aim to deliver the complete package for our residents and we are so pleased that we could meet your expectations and live up to your naturally high standards. Our open-door policy is essential for making residents and their families feel safe and...
Today I visited a friend on the second floor. There were four lovely staff on duty, but the activities coordinator was outstanding in the way she interacted with the clients, encouraging and praising them as they played a game and including the non-participating clients as well. She was polite, enthusiastic and professional too. Well done!
Thank you for leaving this kind review for the team at De Brook Lodge. Our activities coordinators love to encourage our residents to take part in a variety of activities every day, and we hope you feel welcome to join in too! We’ll be sure to pass along your lovely message.
My mother has had to be discharged with no accommodation because the previous home we had chosen would not take her due to her needs, even though they previously said they would. We went to De Brook Lodge where they were kind and extremely helpful and one staff member, in particular, showed us great empathy and compassion. Mum has now been residing at De Brook for three days and we have continued to experience a high level of attentiveness.
Thank you for leaving these kind words for the team at De Brook Lodge. We understand how difficult choosing a care home can be for our residents and their families, so it's fantastic to hear that the team has been able to help your mum, and we hope she is enjoying living with us. Thanks again!
My wife has been here for eight months. The staff are very caring and provide good information. Since Covid-19 restrictions have lifted, I and my family, get full access to her, which is a help to us the family, plus help in the care home with her wellbeing.
We really appreciate this lovely feedback for De Brook Lodge. It’s great to hear that you feel confident in the care provided in the home, and we hope you continue to enjoy your visits. Thank you.
Choosing a care home for a loved family member is a massive decision as there are so many factors to consider. From the start of our search, De Brook Lodge stood out as the right place for us. A major factor was that it was purpose-built as a care home so it was very spacious and light and the facilities offered were just what we were looking for, for my mother in law. We found the staff, every single one of them, to be kind, caring and considerate, often going well beyond what was expected of them and this was a major comfort for our family. We would wholeheartedly recommend De Brook Lodge to anyone.

The staff, all of them without exception, are caring, compassionate, understanding and we have total confidence and trust in their care of my mum. The home is warm, welcoming, clean and creates a 'home' from 'home' with the framed photos and homely touches. There is an overwhelming feeling of calm and kindness. Relatives are kept well informed at all stages and cared for with tea, food and time to chat.

My mum was very happy at De Brook Lodge. The staff were very caring and kind. The atmosphere created made it feel like home. The food was very good. Activities were good and anyone could join in if they wanted. I would recommend this care home.

Mother has been a resident for 2 and a half years, and always been very comfortable. Prior to Covid-19, De Brook provided many activities for the enjoyment of residents. The past months have been extremely challenging for both staff and management that they have risen to the task and have continued to provide a high standard of care.

Dad only been here a week but is so happy. Staff are amazing. So pleased to have found a lovely place.
Thank you so much for reviewing our De Brook Lodge home. We appreciate your kind words and will make sure your comments are passed on to the whole staff team.
De Brook Lodge is my mum's home. My mum took ill; I received a call from the home, an ambulance was called, I received a second call from the home - it's an emergency. I was met at the door and rushed through to be with my mum. The three senior carers were amazing - very professional and caring in a very difficult situation. They were all efficient, calm and attentive to me, my mum and ambulance crew. De Brook Lodge is a super care home; everyone is friendly, caring and works as a team.
Thank you so much for your kind words regarding our De Brook Lodge home and staff. We are very proud of our staff team, many of whom have been with us since our home opened, and we see lots of examples of them going above and beyond for their residents. Thank you again for the kind words which I shall be sure to pass on.
My friend had been in De Brook Lodge as a resident for only a relatively short time, however the care given and love shown is second to none. The way the management of the home responded to the safety of the residents when covid came, was exceptional. Can't recommend enough.

A cherished family friend has been in De Brook for the past few months. The quality of care has improved this ladies physical condition. However, the most improvement can be seen in this ladies mental health. She now has company to talk to. The staff are very caring and attentive. The standard of the food is excellent and freshly cooked every day.

From July 2019 to present-day. My mother moved into De Brook Lodge after a lot of long stays in hospital. We made the decision after visiting the home and we knew straight away this was for Mum. Its open-door policy, very modern amenities and lovely meals. The manager and staff go above and beyond and so so compassionate such an amazing place. Thank you.

My mother was transferred for safety measures in the middle of the COVID crisis. After visiting other similar establishments, it was apparent that the welcome, staff and facilities at De Brook Lodge were excellent. In the face of the restrictions, they were able to facilitate a difficult and emotional experience to ensure that we were reassured that Mum would be well care for. The welcome was excellent with all relevant staff being brought to meet her, interact and make her feel settled. The ongoing contact had been professional, excellent, and above all caring - we couldn't ask for more.

When they told us Mum had to go into a care home it was upsetting but expected and Mum was quite resigned to the idea. I visited every care home in Urmston and De Brook was by far the best for Mum. Lovely staff, very friendly and caring. They take great care and keep me informed of everything regarding Mum. We are more than pleased with the care Mum has. Would highly recommend De Brook Lodge.

Our experience with De Brook Lodge is excellent. Communication between them and our family is excellent. Mum was unsure about going into a care home, but her safety became paramount. Mum was taken to De Brook Lodge for assessment. We are now hoping she can stay there as she has settled in there, and the care and attention give to her by all members of staff are brilliant. On one occasion, when Mum was feeling a bit low, one of the staff even suggested doing a video call, which we did, and it cheered her up immensely. We cannot praise De Brook Lodge enough for all they have done for our Mum.

One of the carers was buddied up with my mother to make her feel at home, show her around and meet people - they were happy to adapt the agenda to suit my mum's pace.
The only slight glitch was that my mother had a special diet and it took a little while for the kitchen and staff to get used to her needs, otherwise the food was very good.
Thank you very much for your kind words, I shall share these with the staff team.
Everyone from the kitchen staff to the home manager has formed a great relationship with my mum in 3 months. The care staff are fabulous, I have no concerns about the care at De Brook.
There are a large number of activities and outings along with events that the family can attend.
