Situated in the heart of Guisborough, Park House is a luxurious, purpose-built care home offering residential and residential dementia care to older people.

The home prides itself on its prime location in the market town and was lovingly named by the pupils of St Paulinus RC School in 2011.

With its extensively trained and kind care team, Park House offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere from the moment you walk through the door.

Across the three communities, Park House offers hotel-style décor and furnishings, from the modern reception area to the popular lounges and dining areas.

There are a range of seating areas to choose from at Park House, from quiet corners overlooking the beautiful Guisborough Forest, to spots where Residents can enjoy a board game together, or perhaps a glass of their favourite tipple by the cosy fireplace. The dining rooms are a popular place for Residents to socialise and sample the homemade dishes on the menu.

Residents’ bedrooms are spacious, light, airy and tastefully decorated, with many overlooking the local countryside and Guisborough Forest. All rooms have ensuite wet rooms, and those in the Garden Suite also have direct access to a private patio, where many Residents enjoy sitting in the sunshine, planting flowers, and feeding the birds. Residents are invited to decorate their rooms with treasured belongings and items of furniture, to help Park House feel like a home from home.

Park House provides a varied activities programme, including arts and crafts, baking, local excursions, and entertainment. Residents also enjoy visiting the on-site hairdressing salon, nail bar and cinema room, as well as relaxing in the peaceful communal garden. Themed activity stations are also available and are carefully designed for those living with dementia.

My father has been in this home about one year now. during which time he has been very well fed and cared for. He joins in all the activities available and is very comfortable and happy there. The staff are always smiling and cheerful. All the building always smells fresh.

I've found the care home completely and friendly not only the staff and fellow residents but everyone we meet. It would be lovely if we were able to have a walk or ride out in the fresh air. The games and activities are very good. Visits to live shows would be lovely.

Every time we visit the staff are so obliging, friendly and helpful, when I asked for coffee the answer was help yourself. You have a good care home and good staff. Well done.

My mother has been a resident at Helen McCardle care home for almost two years now and from day one has been treated with utmost respect. The home is more like a 5 star hotel than a care home and I cannot speak too highly of the fabulous staff who work there, friendly, ultra professional and caring
and approachable. Nothing is too much trouble for them. I would not hesitate in recommending Helen McCardle care to anyone looking for residential care for their loved ones.

My grandma has been here since Christmas 2014. The staff are all lovely and make residents and visitors feel at home and very welcome. I feel that my grandma gets the best possible care and I know that the days when I am not there I don't have to worry about her care and safety. I know she is getting
looked after and if there are any problems Park House will get in touch and the staff work together with the family to resolve any issues.
