This is the third care home that my husband has been in and I moved house (30 miles) to get him a place in Park House which was recommended by two independent people. My husband is happy and well settled and I have a good, friendly relationship with the staff. As with all the care homes that I have
experienced, I would like to see more presence on the floor from management as it gives the residents' families assurance that any problems are dealt with.

My mother came to Park house 3 months ago and I was impressed bu how quickly staff understood and met her needs. Whenever I have asked, the member of staff concerned has always been aware of what my mother has been doing, how she has been entering and how she's feeling. Park House provides a lovely
peaceful environment, and I have always been made to feel welcome.

My aunt came into Park House in September 2016. In the 6-7 months, she has been in Park House she looks a whole lot better than she was before, due to the excellent care and attention she is receiving from the excellent staff. I would have no hesitation in recommending Park House to anyone else in need
of care and attention.

My father's care has been excellent.
The staff look after him well and always attend to his needs with care and show a good level of empathy.
Our family are pleased he is living in a comfortable and modern care home which is both clean and organised.
Activities are of a very high standard, particular
praise to the activity leader.

I am grateful that I have found somewhere that ticks all the boxes.
I'm honoured that my mum was offered a place here and so grateful for how easy the staff made it for mum to move here.
And a big thank you for the support the staff have given me throughout the process.

Nothing is too much trouble to them.

My wife was a resident of Park House for the last 12 months of her life - she had Alzheimer's.
Her treatment was everything we had hoped for.
He was treated with care and consideration - even with love - and was happier there than she had been in her last days at home.
She settled in immediately
and never expressed any wish to leave.
The staff and facilities were excellent.

I have used the care home for 7days respite for my husband. The staff were always very helpful and cheerful, nothing was a trouble.
The house has a lovely atmosphere and was very light and airy.
Unfortunately, he had a fall on the last day but it was handled quickly and efficiently and I was kept
informed at all time.
I would definitely use the home again.

The care received by my late mother in law was outstanding. We cannot recommend the staff enough, nothing was too much for them.
Unfortunately, my mother in law passed away at the beginning of June, but the kindness and care given to her during her last years at Park House was brilliant.
My husband
and I cannot be more grateful for all that was done for her.

Current Review Score: 9.9 (9.948)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.9 (9.948) out of 10 for Park House Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 32 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 32 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.948 for Park House Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (363 Excellents x 5) + (20 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 383 Ratings = 4.948
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Park House Care Home is based on 32 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 57 registered maximum number of service users is 11.4, which has been reached with 32 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
