Every resident has their own private bedroom with an en suite wetroom. I would like better communication and access to management at the care home. At present the care home does very little to take account of my views and/or that of the other residents, caring partners. I believe they could benefit greatly from listening to us. I would recommend a monthly or quarterly
"listening group" session when interested relatives can be invited to attend. finally the staff work hard but at times could do with better support and increased staffing levels.

Dad says it is magnificent, he feels comfortable and likes the fact that he can decide to mix in or stay in his room. Staff are kind and look after him even when poorly. Dad enjoys the food and it has a good variety. He likes having his own television in his room.

The care given to my mum during her stay at Prestbury House was excellent. Highly recommended. I can't thank all the staff enough for everything they have done.

When mum arrived in the home she was very poorly and shut down. Thanks to all the staff, from the care staff, nurses reception, office staff. Mum was made to feel life was worth living and soon come back to us. The shear dedication, professionalism and love that every one showed her, gave her a new
family. We felt she was so safe and loved. I can not praise this home, it's facilities, staff enough. Many many thanks to everyone.

My husband has lived at Prestbury House for 2 ½ years and during this time he has been treated with kindness by all the staff at Prestbury House, the carers, nurses, office and reception, household and catering staff. My family are always made to feel welcome when we visit the home. Thank you to everyone

I think it is exactly 3 years since my mother came to live at Prestbury House Care Home. There have been many staff changes in that time but she has been cared for with great kindness and professionalism throughout. Catering staff, reception and office staff, carers and nurses - all have treated her
with courtesy, affection and wonderful care. Nothing is ever too much trouble! As a relative, I too have found staff helpful and friendly. Prestbury House Care Home has truly been a home for my mother and I am very grateful for all the wonderful care.

Having cared for mum in her own home for three years. When it came to go into residential care she immediately felt at ease in Prestbury House and settled comfortably into place within the first week. The staff all welcomed her into the family atmosphere and I felt reassured that she was happy. Mum
stayed at Prestbury House for her final year and she lived initially on the top floor moving down a floor for the last three months. Everybody that worked there understood who she had been and who she was, her character, her likes and dislikes. This attitude within the staff helped mum to remain calm and confident in a world that was becoming increasingly confusing. The care was excellent throughout and I cant thank the people working at Prestbury House enough for caring about my mums dignity. Thank you.

This is a wonderful care home. The staff are knowledgeable, kind and caring. There is a real family feeling for the residents. Rooms are ensuite, spacious and very comfortable. I thoroughly recommend it.

I have over 30 years of experience working in hospitals across the world and worked as a Registered General Nurse and midwife in India from 1990 to 1994. I have worked in care home management for over 15 years.


Working in various roles across different organisations, primarily within a care home, has given me a deep appreciation for creating a nurturing and joyful environment for our residents. I am most inspired by the opportunity to make a meaningful difference, where each person feels valued, respected and celebrated for who they are and the journey they’ve lived. My goal is to bring warmth and happiness, to make our residents feel safe, well-cared for and uplifted. Being in a care home should feel like the beginning of a fulfilling chapter, where every resident’s wishes are honoured and their days are filled with joy, dignity and purpose.
