The care staff who look after residents with dementia carry out their duties efficiently treating each resident according to their individual needs and the needs vary considerably. What impresses me is the dedication of the care staff sometimes in difficult circumstances to give each individual the personalised care that they need and that's done with professionalism, respect and good humour. The domestic staff carry out their duties efficiently and most have a friendly rapport with the residents. Overall I am satisfied with the care my wife receives.

When faced with an emergency need for an EMI unit for my mother in the area, the management at Prestbury House Care Home were extremely helpful, pro-active, sympathetic and gave valuable support and advice, recognising the urgency. They worked at an incredible pace to secure a room, carefully assessing and meeting her complex needs. Throughout her stay, the staff have shown enormous professionalism, skill, empathy and patience. They manage to maintain a safe, calm unit where nothing fazes them. Families are welcomed, communication is brilliant- as is the support they all give to close relatives. I cannot imagine there to be a better haven for those suffering from such a cruel illness as Alzheimer's disease. Thank you.

My husband went into Prestbury House whilst builders were in a home. The second-floor team and the admin ground floor team have been absolutely marvellous. As I have cared for my husband at home I have got into certain ways of how he should be cared for. Prestbury House listened to me and adapted to the way I had cared for my husband so he wouldn't be distressed. Can't thank them enough.

Having had experience of many care homes nationwide, Prestbury House is one of the best I have come across. The standard of care is very good and consistent, an unusual attribute.

This was my wife's first respite stay in a care home. Prestbury House impressed my wife on her visit before he stay as she was made very welcome. Then and later when she stayed for two week she felt it did not take her long to feel at home, she enjoyed the company of other residents and really liked the staff in all areas of the home. All in all she thoroughly enjoyed her stay which has given me and her daughters some peace of mind, knowing she has been well cared for.

The care that my mother received was second to none. She was treated with respect at all times, and all staff respected her dignity at all times. Although my mother was not at Prestbury House for many weeks, there were no issues that arose in any way. The care was excellent, the staff were extremely professional. The room my mother was in was lovely, it was spotless, as was the rest of the building that I saw in those few weeks.

Overall Dad has received excellent care with patience, expertise and appreciation for his personality and individual needs. He has enjoyed banter with staff and has also really enjoyed trips out in the mini-bus since this has been running. He always enjoyed visits from choirs and musicians and loved having visits and trips out with us.

We appreciated the open-door policy of always being able to visit for any length of time. The staff were particularly wonderful in the final hours preceding dad's death. Lots of carers came to say goodbye and were visibly upset which was very touching. My only regret was an error last November which led to dad missing his granddaughter's wedding!

Every time I visit and leave my mother I am blown away by the care, affection and love she is shown by the staff. After three and a half years I am very pleased to say that she could not be in better hands. The staff are alert to her needs both mechanical and psychological in a way that is completely familiar.

I would like better communication and access to management at the care home. At present the care home does very little to take account of my views and/or that of the other residents, caring partners. I believe they could benefit greatly from listening to us. I would recommend a monthly or quarterly "listening group" session when interested relatives can be invited to attend. finally the staff work hard but at times could do with better support and increased staffing levels.

Dad says it is magnificent, he feels comfortable and likes the fact that he can decide to mix in or stay in his room. Staff are kind and look after him even when poorly. Dad enjoys the food and it has a good variety. He likes having his own television in his room.

When mum arrived in the home she was very poorly and shut down. Thanks to all the staff, from the care staff, nurses reception, office staff. Mum was made to feel life was worth living and soon come back to us. The shear dedication, professionalism and love that every one showed her, gave her a new family. We felt she was so safe and loved. I can not praise this home, it's facilities, staff enough. Many many thanks to everyone.

I think it is exactly 3 years since my mother came to live at Prestbury House Care Home. There have been many staff changes in that time but she has been cared for with great kindness and professionalism throughout. Catering staff, reception and office staff, carers and nurses - all have treated her with courtesy, affection and wonderful care. Nothing is ever too much trouble! As a relative, I too have found staff helpful and friendly. Prestbury House Care Home has truly been a home for my mother and I am very grateful for all the wonderful care.

Having cared for mum in her own home for three years. When it came to go into residential care she immediately felt at ease in Prestbury House and settled comfortably into place within the first week. The staff all welcomed her into the family atmosphere and I felt reassured that she was happy. Mum stayed at Prestbury House for her final year and she lived initially on the top floor moving down a floor for the last three months. Everybody that worked there understood who she had been and who she was, her character, her likes and dislikes. This attitude within the staff helped mum to remain calm and confident in a world that was becoming increasingly confusing. The care was excellent throughout and I cant thank the people working at Prestbury House enough for caring about my mums dignity. Thank you.

Hello, my name is Nishi, and I am the Home Manager here at Prestbury House.

I have over 30 years of experience working in hospitals across the world and worked as a Registered General Nurse and midwife in India from 1990 to 1994. I have worked in care home management for over 15 years.

Working in various roles across different organisations, primarily within a care home, has given me a deep appreciation for creating a nurturing and joyful environment for our residents. I am most inspired by the opportunity to make a meaningful difference, where each person feels valued, respected and celebrated for who they are and the journey they’ve lived. My goal is to bring warmth and happiness, to make our residents feel safe, well-cared for and uplifted. Being in a care home should feel like the beginning of a fulfilling chapter, where every resident’s wishes are honoured and their days are filled with joy, dignity and purpose.
