Nestled in the attractive town of Stalybridge in Manchester, Millbrook supports older people to lead their best lives with personalised residential and residential dementia care.

The attractive, purpose-built home has a spectacular outdoor area, complete with a fountain, which is the perfect place to sit and relax, whilst watching the world go by. There is also a hair salon, nail bar and a range of comfortable en-suite and premier bedrooms to choose from.

My father has recently moved to Millbrook and was very apprehensive of moving into a care home. My brother and I looked at a number of homes and Millbrook was heads and shoulders above everything else . From the moment we entered the home the manager and her staff were amazing, really taking an interest
in my father and his needs . From the moment he arrived his care has been second to none. A month and a half into his time he has expressed how happy, content and safe he feels. I cannot recommend Millbrook and the care staff highly enough. I m Living three hours away and to know my father is so happy and well looked after at Millbrook, gives me an unbelievable sense of relief.

My mum has been treated with dignity, respect and kindness whilst having respite at Millbrook. It's a lovely clean care home and does not have a clinical feel. Most importantly my mum has felt very safe and happy here.

The staff at Millbrook have not only helped my aunt at a difficult time, but also myself. I feel they have gone above and beyond our expectations and have adapted brilliantly to my aunt's specific requests. As a relative I feel confident that she is looked after and kept safe which I cannot thank the

Hi
My father - has been a resident at Millbrook Care Home, Millbrook, Stalybridge since 17 December last year.
I wanted to let you know that I have been totally impressed with the professionalism, dedication and friendliness of all the staff that work there and care for dad and the other residents.


I

particular two senior nurses, have been particularly brilliant in the way they communicate with Dad and myself. One gores beyond, in my opinion, what she must be paid for and its obvious that she and her colleagues don't just work there they are dedicated to the providing AAA standard service. They are always happy, positive and have time to speak irrespective of their other commitments.
If you could pass this down to their line manager I would appreciate it as I think I'd like to be thanked for the work I do so they certainly need a big thankyou and the owners appreciate the caring staff that work there.

The care facilities at Millbrook Care Home were excellent. It was always clean and tidy and maintained to a high standard.
The staff were amazing, everyone was polite and friendly with a caring nature. The care they gave my grandma was exceptional.
At the time my grandma was there, she was happy and
well looked after. My grandma would always tell me how wonderful the staff were. Nothing was ever too much trouble and they always did their best for her, keeping us informed with her care. I would highly recommend Millbrook Care Home!

A lovely home with friednly, helpful staff.
Mum has always been a people person but isn't missing well but I put that down to the fact that there is very little interaction between the residents which is probably the reason most are residents at Millbrook, Mum's reason for being there is her lack of
mobility. The staff have a difficult job to do and I thank them for looking after Mum.

Our father was a resident at Millbrook for four and a half years. During that time the care he received was excellent. He knew all the staff by name and they all knew him and took time to chat and laugh with him. The last few weeks before his death were very difficult for him and the staff showed extreme
kindness and compassion both to him and to our family. We have nothing but praise for them all.

Mum has been a resident at the home for almost 2.5 years and during that time the staff have always provided a very professional and supportive kind of care. Following a couple of falls late 2023, the staff went "above and beyond" to provide the care Mum needed to re-settle after the disruption caused
by the falls. Overall the family is very happy with the overall standards provided.

Millbrook was Mum's preferred choice after seeing a brochure. Due to Covid restrictions, we couldn't visit in advance but we knew it had a good reputation. Her allocated room was a good size but it was dark and had no view, however, it was very convenient for the lounge area where we hoped Mum would
spend most of her time.
The activities and entertainment seemed good but Mum chose to stay in her room and not mix with the other residents. She has always had difficulty mixing with people and always chose family before friends. The staff spent a fair amount of time with her and she appreciated the attention and care she got. Mum was very independent all her life and found it difficult to relinquish control of things like laundry and medication, however, she learnt to appreciate the efforts the staff went to and after a difficult start, she called it home.
Her 3 years there were happy years and I felt safe she was in good hands.

We were relieved and impressed by our initial meeting with such a friendly and effective management team. Their care in ensuring they could cater for our relative's needs was thorough and professional. Our beloved relative is being treated with the greatest respect whilst receiving compassionate and
understanding care.
The environment is extremely clean and comfortable. The standard and choice of food is very good.
All the staff are friendly and approachable to us all. Millbrook Care Centre is highly recommended.

I knew of Millbrook Care Centre before a decision was made for Mum to become a resident. So, didn't see any reason to be fearful of the decision.
That pre-move confidence has been justified. Mum knows why she is a resident and is grateful for help from all staff for meeting her everyday needs she
knows she can no longer do for herself.

My wife has now been a resident for 12 months and 1 week. She is happy, content and happy at Millbrook.
She experienced two falls which were dealt with immediately.
Doctors are a bit slow when requested but finally sorted out.
Overall she is content and well cared for.

As a dedicated healthcare professional, Claire has gained a wealth of experience in providing care and nursing support to elderly people, to enrich their lives. She is a knowledgeable and dedicated leader who is passionate about delivering the highest standards in care and quality of life for Residents.


Claire closely shares HC-One’s vision in aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every Resident. She extends this caring approach to her Colleagues and works closely with them to deliver care and support to Residents in a way that they gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.


When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Claire remarked:


“Being able to help others achieve their goals, not just within the staff team but also for the people we care for.”


Outside of work, Claie enjoys spending time with her family and going on holidays, including Italy which is her favourite place to visit. She also loves animals and goes walking a lot with her French Bulldog, called Lulu.
