Nestled in the attractive town of Stalybridge in Manchester, Millbrook supports older people to lead their best lives with personalised residential and residential dementia care.

The attractive, purpose-built home has a spectacular outdoor area, complete with a fountain, which is the perfect place to sit and relax, whilst watching the world go by. There is also a hair salon, nail bar and a range of comfortable en-suite and premier bedrooms to choose from.

At Millbrook, every member of the team is on hand to ensure residents feel supported, comfortable and happy.

The dedicated and professional care team seek to learn about each resident’s hobbies and interests, allowing them to create a comprehensive activity programme, supporting those living in the home to enjoy the things they love most. From building relationships with neighbours in local community groups and schools, to arranging sightseeing trips in the local area, at Millbrook, the team encourage residents to take an active role in the Stalybridge community.

Recognising the unique nutritional needs of older people, the catering team at Millbrook design a varied menu full of delicious meals for residents to enjoy, with visitors always welcome.

My father went into Millbrook in December 2022. My first impression on entering the building was one of total professionalism at all levels, the building was very clean, and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. My father has settled in very well; he is treated with respect and has been given
a lot of love and understanding from everyone. I cannot praise the work and dedication of the staff enough. It has given both my father and the family real peace of mind.

I would have no hesitation in mum staying at Millbrook if this was possible, sadly she passed away in October. The care and the way staff at the home treated mum before and in her last days was exceptional.
They have also been supportive to me since mum's death. They deserve the recognition given.

Mother-in-law has been a resident for over 2 years and settled in well even though it was Covid. It's great that we can now visit more often. I enjoy dropping in on an afternoon when the carers are usually doing a general knowledge quiz (some of the answers can be quite entertaining). The beach party,
when Red the donkey and the ice cream van visited was another good event. Staff are friendly and welcoming, it's good we can mix again and get involved. I certainly recommend this care home.

The staff have been extremely helpful in firstly finding a space for my mother in the facility and then once there, looking after her during the trial period she was in residence

My mum has been at Millbrook for nearly 18 months and throughout this time the care and love shown to my mum has been exceptional. The staff are always helpful, kind and professional, a difficult combination to get right, but they do. These last few weeks have been very hard for all concerned, residents
and staff alike, so just wanted to say thank you for all your hard work and for caring so much for my mum.

Went to the firework display at the home. Pakin cake, Mulled wine and meat and potato pie.
A shout out for the pie, it was delicious.
Lovely time with most of the residents inside sheltering from the cold.

Mum has only been a resident at Millbrook Care Centre for 2 months but the hard work and effort the staff put in to make her 100th birthday special was so impressive especially given the current restrictions. She had a wonderful day. The home is run efficiently and professionally and our family feel
supported. Since moving in the staff have spent time with mum to understand her needs and to help her settle in.

We are very pleased with the way in which the staff have helped my father settle into this new experience in his life. The staff are caring, helpful, sensitive and responsive. Genuinely caring staff - my mum feels she is living with friends that look after her. As someone who didn't want to 'end up in a care home', she calls Millbrook her home now and is happy and contented there.

Millbrook has a lovely atmosphere. It is relatively small and feels very homely. My mum is eating well and loves sitting in the garden with the other residents. I would recommend Millbrook Care and facilities.

Mum's been here for just under two years now and always found first-rate care from all the staff, always helpful. Rooms are always clean and tidy. Overall, Mum is well looked after here and there seems to be enough activities for residents and Mum is very happy.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude and appreciation to management and staff at Millbrook Care Home for the care and compassion given to our lovely Mum. Mum was a resident at Millbrook for 4.5 years and it gave us great comfort to know that she received care with dignity and respect by friendly
and helpful members of staff.
We also wish to pay tribute to the way staff continued their compassionate, caring role during the period of the Covid-19 virus, given the dangers, restrictions and difficult working conditions, a very stressful time for staff and their families alike.

My family and I felt very lucky when we found Millbrook Care Centre after viewing several less suitable homes. The immediate impression is of a very clean, bright and cheerful place. The rooms are nicely furnished, and residents are encouraged to make them homely with their own familiar possessions.
The staff have looked after my father in a friendly and caring manner throughout the last eighteen months and always kept us well informed. The team of carers has remained largely unchanged during this time which provides continuity of care and friendship for my father. This has been particularly important in recent weeks as we have been unable to visit during the lockdown and, despite the pressure they are under, they have gone out of their way to reassure and support residents and their families.

As a dedicated healthcare professional, Claire has gained a wealth of experience in providing care and nursing support to elderly people, to enrich their lives. She is a knowledgeable and dedicated leader who is passionate about delivering the highest standards in care and quality of life for Residents.


Claire closely shares HC-One’s vision in aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every Resident. She extends this caring approach to her Colleagues and works closely with them to deliver care and support to Residents in a way that they gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.


When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Claire remarked:


“Being able to help others achieve their goals, not just within the staff team but also for the people we care for.”


Outside of work, Claie enjoys spending time with her family and going on holidays, including Italy which is her favourite place to visit. She also loves animals and goes walking a lot with her French Bulldog, called Lulu.
