Millbrook Care Centre

Due to my mother having a stroke, the very prompt actions of the care home staff and paramedics getting her to hospital promptly means she recovered quickly and is now back in the care home, a big thank you to everyone.

Mum has always been a people person but isn't missing well but I put that down to the fact that there is very little interaction between the residents which is probably the reason most are residents at Millbrook, Mum's reason for being there is her lack of mobility. The staff have a difficult job to do and I thank them for looking after Mum.

Our father was a resident at Millbrook for four and a half years. During that time the care he received was excellent. He knew all the staff by name and they all knew him and took time to chat and laugh with him. The last few weeks before his death were very difficult for him and the staff showed extreme kindness and compassion both to him and to our family. We have nothing but praise for them all.

Mum has been a resident at the home for almost 2.5 years and during that time the staff have always provided a very professional and supportive kind of care. Following a couple of falls late 2023, the staff went "above and beyond" to provide the care Mum needed to re-settle after the disruption caused by the falls. Overall the family is very happy with the overall standards provided.

My father was cared for here for 4.5 years. He was treated with great kindness and respect. The care team at Millbrook were exceptional and I can't thank and praise them enough.

The manager contacts me should any issues arise so my mother's care is unaffected and she is completely relaxed and cared for and stress-free. Thank you for putting the family at ease and well done.

Personally, I thought the home was beautiful. All the staff were lovely and very helpful. The living space was really nice and perfect for socialising and the individual rooms are very warm and homey.

My experience of the care home was very nice, the rooms are very clean and homey. The staff are very attentive and always happy to help and make my grandma comfortable. The living space is nice and clean and comfortable with a nice view of the garden. They also have activity days (e.g pet days) which I found really heartwarming. Really impressed with the care home, highly recommend.

Millbrook is extremely clean, staff are always very pleasant and caring. The food is fresh and extremely good. The rooms are spacious and always clean. Excellent.

My mum moved to Millbrook in March this year after our family decided she needed full time care support. We are very happy with how she is cared for and the friendliness and compassion of all the staff are of the highest standard. The communication from the staff is excellent and any issues have been dealt with very professionally and explained properly. Nothing is too much trouble and more importantly my mum is happy at Millbrook and says she feels safe and well cared for. The home itself is very well presented and feels a warm welcoming place for both residents and visitors. I would confidently recommend Millbrook to anyone who is looking for a care home for their elderly relative.

At the end of May, I was asked to look at the Millbrook Care Home as a possible place for my aunty. I was invited to visit at my convenience. When I turned up I was given a guided tour by a very pleasant, friendly, approachable member of staff. I was shown two resident rooms along with the other facilities - lounge, dining room, bathrooms and hairdressers. I had previously looked at two other homes in the area, the rooms and facilities at the Millbrook were like a five-star hotel compared to student accommodation at the others. My Aunty took up residency at the beginning of June, she has been made very welcome and settled in quickly. The staff are helpful and do everything to make life at the care home as comfortable as possible.

My dear mum was in Millbrook Care Home for nearly 3 years. She was admitted during the pandemic. I cannot thank them enough for the kindness and love that they demonstrate to my mum throughout her stay. Combined with a beautiful caring ethos that permeates the whole atmosphere of the home. Nothing was too much trouble not just for Mum but for her relatives too. Thank you one and all
