Charing House Care Home in Gillingham provides residential, dementia, nursing and respite for up to 88 residents and are able to accommodate funded as well as private clients.

There five separate wings, including the Bessie Parr Wing, the George Smith Wing, the William Griffin Wing, the Barry Hodgman Wing and the Freddie Cooper Wing. While the home has a lift to all floors in the building, ideal for those unable to manage stairs, and a service lift which runs separately to two of the home's floors.

The home is designed and furnished to ensure wheelchair access in all rooms and bathrooms at the home have either a static bath or shower tray large enough to accommodate lifting aids.

Charing House Care Home offers a range of specialist equipment designed to support care for all clients. All resident rooms are fitted with a nurse call system and some rooms have pressure mats which are linked to the call system in place.

Rooms also have telephone and aerial points, and suite furniture - one of which has a lockable facility should the client wish to maintain safekeeping for personal effects.

The staff at Charing House all deserve so much praise for the work they do. They are supportive and attentive towards my father, for which I am truly grateful for. The home is well run, with it being kept clean, and entertainment and activities are put on for everyone to take part in.

We must thank all the staff for looking after our mum so well for the last eleven years. She sadly passed away at the beginning of April and we were so pleased that the last years of her life were spent in such a lovely environment with caring staff to look after her. Charing House is a lovely home. The staff are very helpful and attentive in caring for my dad and can see from when I visit him that he is happy there. The facilities are great with there being lovely rooms and lots of outdoor space. I would highly recommend Charing House Care Home.

It is lovely when I visit my father, to see how well he is being looked after. The staff are very caring and have gotten to know him very well during his time at Charing House and know when I go home that he is in safe hands. Charing House employs an activity coordinator who does a great job in organising

The management and staff are excellent and do everything they can to make sure my mum is being well cared for and have nothing but praise for them for the work they do. The staff at Charing House Care & Nursing Home are exceptional and have left no doubt in my mind that I chose the right care home for my mother and have shown nothing but dignity and respect towards her. Charing House takes care of everything, her meals, laundry and medication, nothing is too much trouble.
Her room is well furnished and kept tidy and when I have visited the staff are very friendly and welcoming towards me.

I found it very difficult having to look for a care home for my dad, it wasn’t easy trying to find a care home which could give him the care he needed. However, after looking at many care homes I decided that Charing House Care & Nursing Home was the best place for him. The staff at Charing House are

The care my father receives at Charing House Care & Nursing Home is of the highest quality and I’ve been very impressed with how the staff interact and care for him. They all show such compassion towards my father I can’t praise them enough. My father's room is kept clean, washing taken care of and
a variety of activities and entertainment takes place, there is also a lovely secluded outdoor garden area which my father and other residents enjoy. I couldn’t have wished to have chosen a better care home for my father to be cared by. Thank you all.

My father's room is comfortable, has en-suite facilities and is well furnished. Charing House has a large dining room, lounge and has a beautiful, fully accessible garden. The staff are attentive, kind, caring, patient and keep me informed of any medical issues that may occur with my father and make
the necessary arrangements to see the dentist, nurse etc. My father is offered plenty of food, which he enjoys and is of good quality.

There is no doubt in my mind that choosing Charing House Care & Nursing Home was the right decision for my mum. My mum has dementia, which can be challenging however, the staff are caring, attentive and give my mum the time and attention she needs to look after her. The staff and manager keep me informed
about any issues that arise with my mum's care and the activities staff do a fantastic job arranging events to keep my mum and the other residents stimulated.

The staff at Charing House are very friendly professional welcoming and polite. The care and safety of the residents is their top priority and is a care home where everyone is treated with dignity and compassion. The food is good and there is always a choice of what to eat. My mum is encouraged to take

Since my mother moved into Charing House she has been treated with respect and love at all times. There is a positive culture at the home, the staff are lovely and always make time to chat with her. There is a dedicated activities team that goes out of their way to provide entertainment and games like

The staff and facilities at Charing House are fantastic. The care and attention they show my mum is outstanding. They have devoted staff who work tirelessly to give the best care possible. My brother was in Charing House. He was discharged from hospital in a very poorly state. Charing House was amazing, so, so caring, kind and extremely lovely. They cared for my brother to the end of his life. I am truly grateful to all the staff. I will never forget the care and love they gave my brother
