Concerns relate to ....her clothes being 'stuffed into her drawers, despite me labelling each drawer it is ignored, pyjamas particularly are scrunched up. Mum never lived like this at home and I feel it in a small way her dignity is
It is good that the front lounge is being used but I do despair when I visit that on quite a few occasions staff sit at one end chatting amongst themselves and residents look abandoned...staff do respond to the residents but could this not be improved?
Table clothes are quite often stained and an absence of condiments. Could Gracewell consider getting some pretty PVC tablecloths which can be wiped clean after each meal with paper serviettes available on the table? Lots of residents drop their food, ruin their clothes and look a mess.
The fruit salads are hard and lack variety.
I wish mum could be encouraged to go to the Bistro every day, I do not believe the above would be costly.

I share Care UK’s ethos, and I am proud to be a part of the Ivy Grove family.
My experience working as a General Manager at Ivy Grove has been very fulfilling. I work closely with my team to deliver high-quality care and a person-centred lifestyle to all of our residents at the home.
I hold a graduate diploma in law, and I am proud to have achieved a 1st class degree in nursing. In this role, it is important to have good interpersonal skills, and empathy, and to be transparent in everything that I do. My favourite part of the day is when I start in the morning and interact with my team and the residents—it’s always nice to see smiles on the residents' faces at the start of the day.
Outside of work, I play football, tennis, and rugby with my friends. I also look forward to spending time with my children and being a part of the activities that they are in. I am always proud to see their achievements, be they big or small.
