My mother has been living at this home for 5 years. There was some teething problems at the start. But mum has settled in and she's happy and safe. So I'm happy.
Some Staff communicate very well..Always calling me to inform me regarding mothers health.
They do show love towards my mum and communicates very well with her.
Need to provided more culture foods.
Carers are very approachable.
I just need to thank the Activity Cordinator she's amazing. She has brought life into my mums life.well done.z
Within the home there is still room for improvement.ie. Staff need to be singing from the same hymn book.

Communication book or ipad just for taking messages from carers family.

Mum passed away at Highscroft Hall on the 15th of December 2025. My sister I stayed with her during her final days. The staff were all supportive, helpful and lovely. Mum, Joan, was really well looked after. The staff worked with love and kindness, and that was obvious to see. At the end of Mum's life, the staff were amazing! Allowing Mum to pass away at the home with care, love and dignity. Her family were welcomed, at all hours. Nothing was too much trouble. We felt like part of the Highcroft Hall 'family'. During the last few days we were listened to, when we needed to talk about Mum. She was dying at this time, and it really helped. We laughed together, about things she had done. The result of dementia on her personality, which the staff and residents tolerated with good grace and understanding. For my sister and I it should have been a sad time, but it wasn't. Mum and the staff gave us memories to remember. And I am truly blessed knowing that when the decision had to be made, my sister and I made the right one. That was placing our much-loved mother, Joan, into the care of Highcroft Hall staff and accommodation. Karen.

My brother went to stay at Highcroft Hall following a stay in hospital. His previous supported living placement had broken down and he was having many falls. Since being at Highcroft Hall his physical and mental health has improved. The care staff and management are all very approachable and deal with any concerns/requests straight away. My brother has settled in very well and feels at home. It is a huge weight off my shoulders knowing he feels happy and safe in his surroundings with staff who care and support him with dignity and respect. Thankyou.

We will be forever grateful to all the wonderful people that work so tirelessly here. It is probably the hardest decision I have ever made to seek care for my mum when we could no longer cope but I can honestly say this place is genuinely a sanctuary that picked us up at our lowest ebb and is a safe haven where mum is happy and is flourishing . From the minute we walked in Sean & all his team were fantastic supporting both mum & myself through the process, making the transition easier to cope with. The accommodation is spotless, food fantastic and there is always something going on to keep the residents busy. Sean and the team are to be highly commended for what they have managed to achieve here.

Dad has been at Highcroft Hall now for over a year and we are so pleased with the genuine care, love and attention he receives every day. It was a very difficult decision for dad to go into care, but we have piece of mind that the team supports dad with his needs. There are plenty of activities, entertainment and the staff really make a fuss of dad which lifts his wellbeing. We are regularly asked if we want anything added to his care plan and any potential concerns are addressed and actioned. A huge thank you to the manager and all the wonderful staff that all work really hard.

Nan entered the home as a respite care case with the intention of only staying for a few weeks. Nan quickly became comfortable in her ensuite room. One huge difference between Highcroft Hall Residential Care Home and the previous facility none attended is that she has the freedom to choose where she spends her time. Nan has enjoyed her time here so much that she has decided to stay as a permanent resident.

Thank you so much for your review! It's so wonderful to hear that your nan has decided to make her move to Highcroft Hall permanent and that she likes the creature comforts. Mom desperately needed respite care, so we applied for Highcroft Hall, mom was very reluctant after Respite at a different home, The manager at Highcroft did a home visit and gently won her round. The initial stay was 2 weeks, the first week was hard as she only had a memory of the previous one, slowly they built up her confidence and we were surprised when she wanted to stay another week, then an extra week, 4 weeks in total, she started to be like our Mom again, not a constant worry for her safety and wellbeing. The fourth week came and she then decided that being on her own again wasn't what she wanted, so she made the decision to become a permanent resident, which for us as a family was a massive relief. She is looking better than she has in a very long time, put a bit of weight on, and the staff are amazing. They are so caring and you can tell from just being in there that they all enjoy what they do, attend when you want, very clean and we are so thankful to this fabulous team.
