Rushyfields has been a lovely place for my great- auntie. The patience and care is a relief for me like no other place. Even when she cannot speak, I feel that she is heard, understood and loved. My aunt has been a resident at Rushyfields for over four years. We are grateful to all the staff who ensure she has the highest standard of care. She is treated as a member of the Rushyfields family and always with love, kindness and respect. Overall Experience
My mam has just recently moved into this care home. I was really apprehensive and worried as past experiences have not been great regarding care homes.
Within a couple of weeks I felt confidant that mam was getting well looked after. The staff always do their very best to ensure that all residents needs are met, and go above and beyond with a very warm and caring approach.
Mam has settled quickly, and us as a family can now relax knowing that mam is cared for and respected in the way that she deserves.
The communication they have with us is fantastic and we are always encouraged to share any feedback or concerns ( if any) we may have about mam.

I would recommend rushyfields to anyone who is looking for dementia care for their loved one. I wouldn't have mam anywhere else.

My mother is blind, death and constanlty in delirium. She cannot communicate or recognise anyone but can verbalise some of her needs. She is treated with respect and dignity by all of the care staff who seem to remain cheerful at all times. I am kept informed of any incidents or knocks that she has. She always appears clean and well-kept.

I am delighted with the care and attention given to my friend. The staff from the reception and throughout the building are so kind, helpful and caring, showing great compassion and patience even in stressful situations. They interact with the residents making them feel cared for and safe. They are happy to spend time, both face to face and on the phone, to let you know how your loved ones are doing. Thank you.

Overall Experience
Staff are friendly, including admin.Manager and deputy are open to comments and concerns. Activities lass does her upmost to find something that residents can enjoy either on their own or in group. She also trys hard to raise funds.
Unfortunately the domestic angle is not very good, staff friendly but standards poor.
More than once I have had to ask for bedroom to be cleaned, toilet and bin to be emptied. Often items are to be seen under furniture in the lounge ( over 48hrs).
Laundry is another sore point, items go missing, sometimes might turn up after a long wait. I frequently have to return items of clothing that doesn't belong to my husband 2/3 times a week.husbands clothes are named and tagged. Am sure residents would not wish to wear other people's clothes.
Chairs are in need of a good clean, often there are chairs without seat cushions in the lounge.

Over all staff do their hardest for residents and visitors.

Overall Experience

My mother-in-law has been a resident at Rushyfields for a year now and has settled very well into her surroundings. She is always clean and tidy and has gained weight since admission. Staff are friendly approachable, and I feel able to voice any concerns I may have knowing they will be acted upon promptly and efficiently. We as a family are always made to feel welcome. Some of the furnishings in main sitting room look tired + worn which can give a poor first impression but the lovely staff certainly make up for that. Rooms are clean and pleasant. I would certainly recommend Rushyfields.

Rushyfields is quite a good care facility, of course things can always improve. Pretty easy going staff. Management fine, I have been in several care facilities down the years and would put Rushyfields well in the higher bracket of care. Long may I continue to visit.

This care home has made our mam safe and felt loved. She is happy to offer cuddles to staff (noting she is unable to speak or write). The staff are lovely with her. Staff do ask for regular feedback and act upon our wishes and listen to us. We feel more domestic staff would be useful to help with laundry and clothing returns and room cleaning. We pay vast amounts to Sanctuary Care - would be nice to see them re-invest the fees we pay to this local care home not the main HQ. We are full fee payers.
