Mum sadly passed away three months after moving to Hopton Cottage Care, but in that brief time, she not only received the highest level of care I could have hoped for, she received genuine warmth and affection which I know meant a great deal to her. The staff were wonderful, nothing was too much trouble and they showed high respect and interest in all dealings with Mum and family. I cannot speak more highly of Hopton Care, they made such a difference to Mum's last few months and also to family.

My mother has been a resident for 2 years. In that time I have had only praise for all aspects of her care. My mother was a 'picky' eater and we worried that food would be a problem. I have never heard her complain and according to the staff she eats without any problems. All members of staff treat her with respect and will sit and chat. They will all discuss with members of the family if there are any issues or if they want to tell us of something mum has done. We, as a family, struggled with the idea of a care home for mum but we couldn't be happier that she is content where she is.

The home is like a 5-star hotel. Spacious, contemporary furnished rooms with ensuite wet/shower room. Small private terrace looking onto the well cared for gardens. I have never had a minutes regret regarding mums care, everyone is kind, courtious, friendly and caring.As a relative, I also feel very well informed and included in all choices regarding mums care.

The laundry service is very well run too. The food is excellent and there are various activities for residents to take part in if they wish. It was lovely to see mum having a social life again (at age 91) and especially when singers came in, mum would be singing along happily.
The care given by the wonderful staff is amazing. Mum received so much love and affection which was very reassuring for us and so heartwarming to see. Visiting mum there was a real pleasure and the warmth of the staff made us feel so welcome, it was like having an extended family.
Mum spent the last 16 months of her life there and was treated with respect and dignity and much loved to the end.

Recently my Great Aunt (82) who lives alone had a knee replacement. Before the operation, it was apparent that she would need care before returning home. We contacted the manager who runs the care home, he was so accommodating, managing to get my Great Aunt a room for as long as she needed it. Giving her much needed peace of mind.
Following the operation, she moved in and stayed for 3 weeks (a week longer than planned as she liked it so much)!As a relative visiting, I was made to feel like it was my home too. A lovely environment that she'll miss.
