I have always found the staff to be kind, considerate and thoughtful. They always speak when I visit and are always keen to answer any questions. Nothing is too much trouble. They know the residents very well and treat them with respect.
The home is always clean, tidy and has a happy atmosphere.
The
food is good, and there is always time for tea and cake. The home is a credit to the hard work of all the staff.

I could not fault my Mam's care at Pennine Lodge and would be highly likely to recommend this care home to others. She was there for eight years since it's opening.

I could not recommend Pennine Lodge Care Home more. The building is extremely well maintained with well-kept gardens for the residents and family use. What really makes this place special are the staff who work there. When my grandmother was well, she was encouraged to actively participate in the daily
events, she loved the art and music activities. The staff were kind, caring and most importantly, treated her with dignity and respect. Thank you everyone at Pennine Lodge.

I find the care at Pennine Lodge very good. The staff are very caring and nothing is too much trouble. We are kept informed with everything that they plan for my mother and if I don't agree they will talk to me to help my decision. But at the end of the day, they leave me to decide. I don't think my

My mother has been a resident at Pennine Lodge for approximately 11 months. Throughout this time I have visited unannounced on many occasions at all times of the day. I have always found her care to be excellent. The staff are a joy all of them and she continues to be treated with dignity, patience
and kindness. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Pennine Lodge to anyone looking for residential care for a loved one or relative.

After ten weeks in hospital, my mam entered Pennine Lodge Carlise on 9th November 2015.
In fact, this would have been mam's fourth Christmas at her new home. I am finding it difficult to express my feelings.
I can say that Pennine Lodge staff showed total dedication to mam who was treated like a friend,
not just a resident. I will always be eternally grateful for the help mam received at such a difficult time.

My Mum has been resident since July 2017 and the home has provided her with excellent care throughout. They maintained her dignity at all times and treated her like a valued member of the Four Seasons family. Staff were fantastic with her, even though she could be a challenge.

My mum was a resident at Pennine Lodge for two years, during which time she was incredibly well cared for. During her last weeks the team showed her such loving care, treating her with gentleness and dignity. Not only did they care for Mum but also my dad who was a daily visitor and during her final
days and hours they couldn’t have done more for me. I would not hesitate to recommend Pennine Lodge to anyone with a relative with dementia.

In the short time in which my dad was in Pennine Lodge, he was so well cared for. The staff were always ready to talk even if they were busy.
When the end came the staff couldn't do enough for dad and us making sure he wasn't in pain. They explained everything to us and even if we asked the same question
over again still answered and went through it again.
Couldn't ask for better caring staff you know you are leaving your loved ones in safe hands.

The staff are absolutely wonderful, they are very knowledgeable and professional, caring and courteous to residents, each other and visitors. Nothing is too much trouble. When discussing all the options to help my Mum as end of life is approaching, they were able to put me at ease and also explain in
simple terms how they would be keeping my mum pain-free and comfortable, dealing with both the families and Mum's anxieties.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this care home to anyone.

Dad went into Pennine Lodge suffering from dementia and Leukaemia for end of life care. I have worked in health and social care as a manager for 30 years and have high expectations but could not find fault in any aspect of the care delivered to my dad throughout his last weeks.


Dad received the

best care and support he had in Pennine Lodge in the 9 years he had been in. Staff gave their time, concern and attention to detail. His privacy and dignity were respected and at no time did he want to leave, unlike previous services. I would strongly recommend Pennine Lodge to anyone needing high-quality care.

My wife has been a resident for 5years come December. My main criticism in that over the last couple of years the quality of feed has deteriorated to a level which at times is a disgrace.
There is very little variety and vegetables almost none existent.
This is not a reflection of the kitchen staff,
who given the proper ingredients can prepare a good meal. I believe they are restricted in choice.

My father passed away in November 2016 after living at Pennine Lodge for eleven months. As a family, we took great comfort in knowing that he was in such capable and professional hands, and was treated with the utmost respect and dignity.
The Staff got to know him well and he liked them. He was able
to have a laugh with them at times as they knew how to get the best out of him.
The home provided a caring, efficient and happy atmosphere. We were very fortunate to find Pennine Lodge where my father called home.

Father went over from residential care to TLC care in a short space of time.
End of life care was excellent.
Not only was our father cared for but we were also supported at this difficult time.
He was made comfortable and was never allowed to feel pain or become distressed.

My mother was transferred to Pennine Lodge from another nursing home which was closed by the Care Quality Commission. She had spent 12 years there and was very worried about the change.
The staff at Pennine Lodge did their utmost to make her feel welcome. The clinical lead assessed my mother and instigated
some changes that improved her pain control and consequently her quality of life.
They ordered her a specialist chair which enabled her to sit out of bed more comfortably.
The standard of care she received was very good. It is impossible to single out a carer for a ROCK (Recognition of Care and Kindness) award. I would like to nominate 8 or 9.
Sadly my mother died this week. Her end of life care was well managed and I felt well supported throughout.
I cannot thank the staff at Pennine Lodge enough for what they have done for us.

From the first day my sister came into the home she has been very well looked after. As well as doing their jobs, the carers have been very friendly and have done their best to make my sister comfortable and at ease. They have also been very kind and understanding to family members.

The atmosphere in Pennine Lodge is friendly and homely - nice. Every member of staff, kitchen, carers or medical team were exceptional showing interest and loving care for my dad. It was nice to see how they interacted with him.
Medical care was planned and carried out to our requirements by primarily
by the clinical lead and care home assistant practitioner with full support from other nurses and care staff.
The level of care and support could not have been better, and always in a caring and thoughtful way, nothing was any trouble. My dad was always kind to them too.
My dad's last day was as I would wish, full care and attention to provide a pain and anxiety free lowering of awareness. The family were also offered full support with refreshments and communication of what was being done for dad.
The people here are amazing.
