Scholars Mews is set in the heart of historic Stratford-upon-Avon.

It provides care for the elderly with residential or dementia needs and also has facilities for nursing and respite care.

The home was refurbished in 2016 and has generously proportioned rooms with ¾ sized beds, a luxury cinema, well-stocked library, hair salon, cosy lounge areas and a dining room which opens up as a bistro to the public once a month.

The home happily accommodates couples and companions who wish to remain together as they continue their care journey and make new memories side by side.

Expert staff deliver round-the-clock care with compassion, supporting families, as well as the residents themselves.

The home has a team of energetic Well-Being coordinators who devise a programme of activities to suit all needs.

The home has good ties with the local community. Friends and family are warmly welcomed.

Residents can spend all year round in the beautifully landscaped gardens with the all-weather, multipurpose visiting pod.

My mum was a resident for nearly 5 years and she was really very happy at Scholars Mews. The staff were caring, respectful and professional, we couldn't have asked for more, so thank you to all the management and staff for looking after Mum so well.
I only have one disappointment, mum passed away in
June 2024 and her funeral was in July 2024, not one person from Scholars Mews attended the funeral which I was very disappointed with and I know mum would have been also.

There has been a marked improvement in the standard of care. The atmosphere has greatly improved and residents and staff appear to be much happier. There are lots of activities in place for the residents and my dad has enjoyed going out for walks. Thank you to all the staff and management for their

The resident is well-fed, good food and care. Short-staffed at times. Visitors made very welcome. Residents are encouraged to walk as much as possible, which isn't always easy! If a 'frame' is needed - how do they obtain one? At times in bad cases of dementia, they don't remember or hear what the instructions
are, or where their rooms are! Now covid is less of a problem, social activities are returning which are very good and all residents and visitors may join in.

The decor is very restful colours of blue and mustard yellow, beautifully worked out in the decor. The small armchair placed by the window is well placed, and speaking as a person 5'3" in height, very comfortable. Good size, comfy bed. The shower room with a handheld shower was a good size, but sadly
the handheld was cumbersome and hopeless to shower without help!

My father has been a resident for over a year now. He has severe dementia and is well cared for. The staff, both in-house and behind the scenes, are very capable and friendly. The services are very good, and I feel they really care for my dad.

From the moment I arrived for a week's care whilst a wetroom was being installed in my flat, I found warm and welcoming staff who genuinely cared and wanted to make my stay a comfortable one. I love the variety of staff backgrounds - all gave time and attention. My room was spacious and clean, as were

My mum moved from hospital into a different care home and didn't settle very well. Then we moved her to Scholars Mews, and she has been so much happier. Her room is wonderful, the staff are incredible, and the food is just terrific. My sister and I live some distance away, so it's amazing to know Mum

We are impressed and happy with Scholars Mews. Mum accepts she has a degenerative condition, and compromises are unavoidable. She knows she is in a safe, secure place 24/7 and is no longer anxious. The medical practitioner is her own GP. She enjoys the food and drinks a lot. Staff are diligent, kind
and gentle. Adaptive to changing needs. Communications are good, visits useful, team meetings and info about accidents or illnesses very comprehensive. All achieved in the negative climate of Covid and staff shortages WIht activities happening again; we are confident Mum's experience will only improve.

My mother has been a resident since January 22, taking a while to settle, but now seems ok. Staff are a great help. Mother has dementia and can be difficult at times, but the staff are very good with her. Issues with the supply of incontinence pads are yet to be resolved.

Scholars Mews Care Home offers a very high standard of care to my mother, who has settled well and is comfortable here. The staff at the home are outstanding and very accommodating. The care team are well trained and professional and the admin/reception staff are approachable, supportive and friendly.
My mother joined the Scholars Mews community during the second wave of the Covid pandemic, but the high standards and hard work of the staff ensured she was kept safe and well. Thank you to the team for your excellent level of care and commitment.
