Scholars Mews is set in the heart of historic Stratford-upon-Avon.

It provides care for the elderly with residential or dementia needs and also has facilities for nursing and respite care.

The home was refurbished in 2016 and has generously proportioned rooms with ¾ sized beds, a luxury cinema, well-stocked library, hair salon, cosy lounge areas and a dining room which opens up as a bistro to the public once a month.

The home happily accommodates couples and companions who wish to remain together as they continue their care journey and make new memories side by side.

Expert staff deliver round-the-clock care with compassion, supporting families, as well as the residents themselves.

The home has a team of energetic Well-Being coordinators who devise a programme of activities to suit all needs.

The home has good ties with the local community. Friends and family are warmly welcomed.

Residents can spend all year round in the beautifully landscaped gardens with the all-weather, multipurpose visiting pod.

I have always been very pleased with the service all round, a lovely place. Light, airy also clean to a high standard. Staff are always pleasant and attentive, even though they may be under pressure at times. I am always made to feel welcome on my monthly visits and very convenient as I only live at

Care is provided 24/7. Maintenance, when needed, is provided. Meals are of a very high standard. Residents' routine, concerning times of bed and waking are chosen by the residents. The atmosphere is very friendly and warm. All rooms have their own televisions.

I have been staying here for over two years. I hadn't intended to stay but I know I did the right thing. The staff are kind and caring. We have two very good cooks. I would recommend Scholars Mews Care Home to anyone.

Due to Covid-19, it's the first time I had visited my sister in a long time. I have kept in touch on the phone and know that my sister has been kept safe and well throughout this time. The staff have been excellent with looking after my sister. It was good to see her again and she looked well and has
daily been encouraged and given activities which she loves.
I am always welcomed in the home on visits by the staff and they look after my sister so well. It's been lovely to see her so happy.

Scholars Mews' staff have been amazing during this awful Covid-19 crisis. My mother has been so well looked after and protected from the virus. The excellent policy and procedures for all the residents' care has prevented the spread of the disease. Residents have had many more activities arranged and
the staff have also arranged video chats with relatives. I have been kept fully informed of my relative's health and well-being throughout, and the staff are now arranging visits in accordance with social distancing rules. The staff are knowledgeable, caring and professional and I would recommend the home to anyone who wants a lovely caring environment for their family member.

Really poor care. Mum was moved floors away from her friends. I asked that she was taken back each day, didn't happen. She was supposed to be weighted regularly, didn't happen. She went in able to walk but was in a wheelchair within a month. Bedsores. No activities. Not fed.

My grandmother has been in the home for two years now. I can't fault the place usually, but I want to say how the team have excelled themselves in these very difficult times. With phone calls, the care has been second to none.
I'm shocked to hear there have been complaints in this extremely difficult
time.

First-time respite care in Scholars Mews for my wife, who settled in very quickly. Staff were all very friendly, professional and readily available, as and when required. Apparently, all went well because the Manager reported my wife was welcome to come back. I hope to arrange a further break mid-December.
