Everyone we came across at Scholars Mews was outstanding. They showed great love and care for Dad throughout his three years there.

From the moment I arrived for a week's care whilst a wetroom was being installed in my flat, I found warm and welcoming staff who genuinely cared and wanted to make my stay a comfortable one. I love the variety of staff backgrounds - all gave time and attention. My room was spacious and clean, as were the lounges and restaurant. There is a good number of rooms for social gatherings and activities. All much appreciated.

My mum moved from hospital into a different care home and didn't settle very well. Then we moved her to Scholars Mews, and she has been so much happier. Her room is wonderful, the staff are incredible, and the food is just terrific. My sister and I live some distance away, so it's amazing to know Mum is so well cared for and safe. Thank you to all the team!

We are impressed and happy with Scholars Mews. Mum accepts she has a degenerative condition, and compromises are unavoidable. She knows she is in a safe, secure place 24/7 and is no longer anxious. The medical practitioner is her own GP. She enjoys the food and drinks a lot. Staff are diligent, kind and gentle. Adaptive to changing needs. Communications are good, visits useful, team meetings and info about accidents or illnesses very comprehensive. All achieved in the negative climate of Covid and staff shortages WIht activities happening again; we are confident Mum's experience will only improve.

My mother has been a resident since January 22, taking a while to settle, but now seems ok. Staff are a great help. Mother has dementia and can be difficult at times, but the staff are very good with her. Issues with the supply of incontinence pads are yet to be resolved.

Food is very good and plentiful.

Scholars Mews Care Home offers a very high standard of care to my mother, who has settled well and is comfortable here. The staff at the home are outstanding and very accommodating. The care team are well trained and professional and the admin/reception staff are approachable, supportive and friendly. My mother joined the Scholars Mews community during the second wave of the Covid pandemic, but the high standards and hard work of the staff ensured she was kept safe and well. Thank you to the team for your excellent level of care and commitment.

My mother had a short period of respite care whilst her stairlift was replaced. The staff were outstanding and really made my mother feel welcomed. One lady, in particular, was truly exceptional. Deft care with a great sense of humour. Another lady also had a terrific sense of humour too, making my mother welcome from the very outset. Many thanks!

The whole staff are so helpful and friendly. Will always see that one is felt at home. Everyone works as a team, which is very important. Manager and admin are very components doing a good job.

My mother is safe in a well-managed care home. The difficulties in the last year made it especially difficult to assess more fully how she is. The home seems to have dealt with the challenge successfully, and we very much appreciate the care she is given.

I have only had an experience of the home for three months, so haven't answered some of the ratings. Generally a positive experience with caring staff. Difficulty getting through on the phone to the home and then being cut off when calls transfer is the only major problem. Phone often takes a long time to be answered, and staff sometimes are not sure who to transfer a call. These problems experienced by all of our family and friends that call Dad.

It has been such a relief to see Mum looking so well, happy, content and relaxed. Something I hadn't seen for a long time. Although her memory doesn't allow her to tell me much about her experiences here, she always has good words for the staff looking after her.

Scholars Mews Care Home has been extremely cautious and careful during the pandemic, protecting their residents, for which, the relatives are very grateful. We will all be glad when restrictions can be lifted, and residents are allowed out and can meet their relatives closely again. It's been tough for all, and we congratulate the staff and carers who have done their best under difficult circumstances. The pod visits have helped a lot of people. Thank you.

I have found this home very homely. Staff are very nice, and nothing is too much trouble.

I have been very impressed with the attitude of the staff through the year I have been a resident. They are consistently kind and patients in their dealings with residents, and this is the foundation of a good care home.

I have always been very pleased with the service all round, a lovely place. Light, airy also clean to a high standard. Staff are always pleasant and attentive, even though they may be under pressure at times. I am always made to feel welcome on my monthly visits and very convenient as I only live at the back.

The staff are wonderful and housekeeping is excellent. Good variety of food. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Visiting will hopefully be back to normal soon.
