Nestled in the picturesque village of Woodchurch, Woodchurch House is a purpose-built, 60-bed, state-of-the-art care home thoughtfully designed to support a range of needs. Set within two acres of beautifully landscaped grounds, the homes stands proudly on the historic site of the former Stonebridge Inn.

Located between Ashford and Tenterden, Woodchurch House offers a calm, secure and homely environment with specialist accommodation across two floors. The ground floor Care Suites cater for those with on-going physical care needs, whilst those on the first floor are dedicated to individuals with dementia. There is a choice of spacious studio or one-bedroom suites, each offering its own en-suite, living room, personal dining area and a kitchenette area where light snacks can be prepared. Some ground floor suites open directly onto the secure garden, bringing the outdoors a little closer to home.

Spent a lovely day with our mum. Entertainment fantastic Caribbean theme spent in the garden. BBQ, steel drum music, Ice Cream Van, Candyfloss, Slush Puppies and sweet table. All staff are very caring and go above and beyond for residents, nothing is too much trouble with the motto "if you don't we
don't know". Any concerns are dealt with immediately and we are kept we informed on Mum's welfare and health. We can rest assured she is safe and well cared for. Would recommend Woodchurch to anyone looking for quality care.

My Mother moved here on 12th April when she was unable to return home after a period of time in a hospital and temporary care homes. She was made very welcome from day one and she is now happily settled. She has a nice ground floor suite with ensuite bathroom, patio doors leading to the garden and a
telephone is included in the room. All of the staff are very friendly, happy to share a laugh and joke, nothing is too much for them in providing the care that Mum needs. The food is very good and plentiful, a choice is offered daily and an alternative made available on request. Daily activities are organised and outings arranged with adequate staff to assist residents if required. Our family visit regularly and we are always made very welcome, greeted with a smile and offered a drink. So far I can only make positive comments but staff are readily available to answer any concerns should they arise. At the beginning of May Mum's sister moved here and is happy to be conveniently just a few doors away from her.

My mother has been in two homes - very unhappy. Woodchurch has changed my mam completely she is so happy, me too as I go home and don't worry about her, I know she's in safe hands 100%. The management and care staff are excellent, make you feel at home straight away. I would recommend Woodchurch House
to anyone I have seen. A big change in my Mam.

I'm so very pleased for my friend now at Woodchurch House, he has gained weight, he doesn't cry now when I leave or ask to come with me. He is very healthy looking and happy. Also he doesn't smell of urine like in his past home! Brilliant! He is always in his own clothes.

On Friday 17th March, Woodchurch House where our mother is a resident held a St Patricks get together early evening. The social coordinator and her assistant the home/residents were very proud. There was an enormous amount of preparation and planning, so well done to the girls involved.
Please recognise
the girls involved, we were a little disappointed no members of management stayed to enjoy this event.

My mother was placed in this nursing home march 2016, she was diagnosed with dementia and poor mobility, she is still on assessment. On the whole, we have been satisfied with the care she is receiving but feel that there could be a little more attention given to her specific needs i.e hearing aid checks.
The care home staff do a very good job with this very difficult illness.

When my mother came to Woodchurch House in April 2016, she was extremely frail, doubly incontinent, unable to initiate any conversation whatsoever and sadly seemed on a downward spiral of depression. In eight months, there has been a great improvement in both her mental and physical health, this is
due totally to the care she has received from the team of dedicated carers and nursing staff. Every concern we have voiced has been acted upon promptly by nursing staff, carers, kitchen staff, laundry staff, admin and maintenance.
Everybody, in fact, has shown patience and kindness to our mother. Her personal care is exemplary, her social interaction has improved thanks to the effort made by the social coordinator and the carers do their utmost to engage her. There is always a cheerful smile on her face when they come into her room. Every small improvement seems to be celebrated by everyone involved.

Jino Joseph

Job Title: New Resident Manager Joined: 2014

Jino is basically a Registered Nurse with more than 14 years of post-qualification experience in different countries and has been working with Graham Care for the last 9 years.


Jino started in Woodchurch House as a Registered Nurse and later became the deputy Manager and is currently working as a New Resident manager mainly supporting the Home in assessing the new Residents and managing the whole admission process with the support of the Home Manager.
