Overall Experience

My partner had a respite placement in Jubilee Court in September. The manager came out and did a thorough assessment, this has not happened with previous respites in other care homes. He had got Alzheimer's disease. Lovely room, friendly staff and the most dementia friendly respite I have witnessed so far. There was a picture of a Land Rover on his door which he loved. I was impressed with this personal touch. My friend visited and she was also impressed with what she saw. Hoping to get more respite later this year. There was a distinct lack of agency staff which proves they are able to retain staff. I was quite stressed and tired and really needed a respite break. Thanks to all the staff, receptionists, cleaners, catering, manager and all the nurses who provided personal care. I would highly recommend Jubilee court. Thanks again.

This care home has a lovely caring staff. The unit manager gives regular hugs to my Mum. There are lots of activities each week, the entertainment manager is fantastic. Sometimes there are trips out as well. I had to choose this care home during the pandemic and have never regretted my decision.

Whilst the standard of care was good, the recent changes to the management team appear to have made subtle but impressive improvements. The refreshed decor has merely enforced this observation.

In her own words, Mum is very happy in her new home and appears to be very content and relaxed now that she's well settled in.

I have been visiting Jubilee Court for many years ago now. Previously I was visiting another friend who has since died. I now visit another friend. She has settled in very well and the staff encourage her to join in with several activities. The staff are very welcoming to families and the residents. I always enjoy going there. The residents are treated so well.

Our Mother has been in Jubilee Court since 9th Jan this year. We have noticed a marked improvement in her well-being, eats regularly, is dressed nicely, and is fed and watered well. The big plus is the staff administering her medication, this has seen her visual appearance improve and she is sleeping and eating better, due to the fantastic care.

The staff are always welcoming and friendly, the rooms are a good size and really like the fact that we can make it as homely as we like with lots of Mum's own things.
The activity team are excellent there is always something going on, with trips out and visits from lots of organisations i.e schools, churches, dog visits, drama groups etc.
They also encourage residents to get involved in daily tasks like washing up, hovering etc which all help with stimulation and making people still feel useful. Mum loves keeping busy.
The laundry services could do with a bit of improvement, whites don't stay white for long.

But I walk away from visits feeling that Mum is safe and well looked after, which gives me peace of mind.

The staff are so friendly and caring towards the residents but also I have found them to be very supportive towards myself (I have struggled accepting putting Mum into care). The home is kept clean and smells nice. Reception is welcoming and I like the open door policy for visiting anytime. The staff have kept me updated and worked with me to sort out any issues (health, etc).
The activities team are great and try really hard to encourage people to join in. The stimulation has been so good for my mum. I would like to say thank you to everyone at Jubilee Court, they do a great job.

The food is ok but could be improved a little.

The majority (greater) off the staff are brilliant, attentive, personable, professional and good-humoured. Communication of mum's needs is very good. Occasionally and especially when more temporary staff are required, there is an understandable lack of continuity and sometimes conflictingly so. I am empathetic to staffing issues but not when it impacts my mum's welfare. Relayed in moderation and overall very happy with Jubilee Court and team.

Since my father moved to Jubilee Court, I have been impressed by the care he receives. He is always taken care of by the staff and I don't have to worry that he's in good hands. The home is always clean and tidy when I visit and the staff always welcoming. The staff have called me straight away when Dad has had falls, which I appreciate.

Excellent quality of care. Staff genuinely care for patients needs and wishes as well as family input. Staff and management have been particularly helpful with medication distribution and very good at liaising with the hospital appointment as necessary. Easy transition from moving home into the care facility. Prices are very high and I feel are unfair to the resident if they wanted to invest more in leisure. Overall, lovely home with warm welcome at desk.

My mum spent her final few months at Jubilee Court. In the short time she was a resident, Mum was well cared for by experienced members of staff who were clearly dedicated and hardworking. Mum often commented they “looked after me” and she seemed content and felt safe. The team were always friendly and helpful and showed much compassion in her final days and to us, her family, they couldn’t do enough. I would highly recommend this care home.

I have been here for five weeks (six days of which were in hospital for a replacement hip operation) and have met with nothing but kindness, care, respect and a very cheerful atmosphere. Nothing is too much trouble for any of the carers or any other member of staff and all are a credit to the company they work for!

Due to living overseas this has been the first visit to see Mum in Jubilee Court. As soon as we walked in to see Mum we instantly could see how at home she was. The atmosphere is warm and inviting and all of the staff have been beyond kind and friendly. Visiting Mum over the last three weeks we have not found one member of staff we didn't warm to. We can return to Australia knowing full well that our precious mum is with such wonderful, caring and kind hands. Great comfort has been bestowed on both Mum and ourselves. Knowing the amazing support is being given by such a professional caring team. A huge thank you to one and all.

Of course, there's room for improvement, always will be, but the state and smell of the carpets needs looking into. The first thing you see is the carpets, they are tired and smell. The staff are brilliant the layout is good, the care my father receives is good, the cleaners do a grand job but are fighting a losing battle with the carpets, it's not a good impression when you walk onto the units. Staff 10, care 9, cleaners 9 food 9 but carpets 2.

The decision to move Mum into a care home followed the week after my dad had been taken into hospital (he sadly passed away the following week between Christmas and New Year). After a quick telephone call and a visit with the manager, I instantly knew that this is where Mum should be. Under the circumstances Jubilee Court were amazing. They welcomed Mum and she settled in easily, my anxieties soon passed after such a stressful time. The staff are caring and always have time for a chat with me. They know Mum and her needs well now and I don't think I could have found a better place for her. Any worries I have regarding Mum are dealt with. The reception staff are helpful and always greet you with a smile and a friendly chat. The entertainment team are excellent and always try to encourage Mum to join in.
