Coppice Lodge

My mum moved into Coppice Lodge last year and has settled really well. They were helpful in getting a room that suited Mum's needs. All the staff are very caring, and friendly and as a visitor I feel very welcomed. They have listened to any concerns I have regarding Mum. Mum enjoys the good food and activities that take place. It always feels like a very happy and friendly place from the welcome as you first come in, to speaking to any of the carers, the kitchen and housekeeping staff do an amazing job.

Mum tells me she’s had a very pleasant stay. Everyone’s been very nice and kind and she would be happy to come and stay again. This has been a welcome development because Mum doesn’t usually like to go away from home and doesn’t like assistance from carers.

I think the whole care service you provide is very good.

My mum stayed at Coppice Lodge for respite care. It was a difficult decision for the family but all of the staff were understanding, caring and friendly. Mum's mobility improved during her stay. I don't think we would have got mum home without Coppice Lodge's help and care. We are now aware of how much work your carers do, its a very difficult and demanding job. However, the staff always greet you with a smile and kind encouraging words. Thanks to everyone working at Coppice Lodge.

This was our first experience of the care home and it was very welcoming. The atmosphere is warm, positive, happy and full of life. The staff were extremely engaging and it's clear they care about all the residents. We left knowing our mother is in the best place possible and all her care needs are more than taken care of. It was an extremely reassuring experience.

I am so impressed with this fantastic care home, my mum was treated as an individual, her likes, dislikes and her personal requirements have been taken on. It feels like a caring hotel with lots of activities happening, lovely use of all the spaces, dining areas, garden, coffee lounge etc. There is always plenty of staff around who are very respectful, professional, caring and trained to a high level. Thank you to all, your hard work shows.

It would have been helpful to realise that payment was to be made upfront and not to have been contacted later on the same day of Mum's arrival, necessitating a further visit that day.

Visited a friend, extremely warm welcome, home is very tidy and clean.

I have found everyone very helpful. They are all very caring, you can ask anyone for information.

Our mum joined the Coppice Lodge Care Home family in mid-February 2022 following a huge dip in her mental health (dementia dip). Initially, she found it difficult to settle but the care, love, attention and volume of activities to divert her attention has meant Mum has improved considerably and she is now very happy and content. Coppice Lodge is amazing, from the moment you are greeted by staff to the moment you leave, you feel your family member is cared for, loved, respected and provided with everything they need. All staff are extremely respectful of family needs too, it's a stressful adjustment for all but they help throughout each step. Amazing place.

First visit and I was impressed.

Staff very friendly, always on hand to speak to. Home always clean, tidy and bright.

The rooms, cleanliness and food are fine. A lot of the staff seem to be excellent. During her stay, my mother had a number of falls, two while she was directly supervised on a one-to-one basis. There were a variety of factors contributing to this, however, it does not seem satisfactory. During February, my mother was still a resident but actually in hospital. The care home never contacted us to ask how she was. When we collected Mum's possessions the care home knew she was dying but never even mentioned her situation.

We collected her belongings recently - we were left waiting outside for ten minutes, then another fifteen inside. Felt like a courier collecting boxes. At no point, again, did any staff member ask after my mother-in-law - and both the manager and assistant manager were present. Got into the car and burst into tears - no 'care' from a 'care home'. Poor.

Absolutely first-class! The staff who facilitated my visit were fantastic. The home was spotlessly clean, the cafe well stocked and the coffee machine is fabulous! I could not have asked for more. All Covid protocols were followed so Gran and I felt very safe and had a great time. Thank you!

The deputy manager assisted me in the morning with showering. I have Parkinson's disease and my mobility is very restricted. The use of the Rotunda was necessary and this was especially difficult for the deputy manager to ensure my safety or prevent falls. Transporting me from the bedroom to the bathroom required all of her strength and experience. The deputy manager is a credit to Coppice Lodge Care Home and I am full of admiration for her.

My mum has received faultless care up to now. Staff and facilities are 5*. Special mention to a particular staff member with who my mum has bonded.

Having broken my foot I was unable to provide care for my husband at home. At very short notice Coppice Lodge provided excellent care and accommodation for him. Because of Covid, I was unable to view the whole building but what I saw was lovely, with a very pleasant aroma. Staff very pleasant and exceptionally helpful.
