My daughter brought me here straight from the hospital. As she wanted to see the have the care they give.
I have been so happy and content, the staff know my friends and all look after me in their own profession.

During the period Mum went into Coppice Lodge, the care shown to her during this difficult period was great. They did everything they could to stop Covid from infecting the residents. Unfortunately, at Christmas, Mum did catch it and has survived due to her stubbornness and the fantastic care offered
by the overworked staff. They kept me up to date on her condition on a daily basis. It was nice to know she has people around her that cared when we couldn't be there. They encouraged her to eat and drink when she had almost given up. Any concerns I raised have always been dealt with in a polite and professional way. I cannot rate the activities as they have been dramatically reduced, but the staff tried their hardest to come up with something.

Front of house always excellent. Management almost always available to "chat". Staff very good with some outstanding in their thoughtfulness and "understanding" of my dad's needs, mood swing and "personal space". Dad is so much "better off" being in Coppice Lodge than when we were trying to cope in

Modern, clean home where the staff go out of their way to provide a safe and happy environment for residents.
Staff make regular contact if there are issues and during Covid restrictions keep relatives informed.
There is a good variety of activities on a daily basis and the catering is a high standard.

I have been very pleased with the care that my parents have received at Coppice Lodge throughout the pandemic, and the high standards of the staff and carers have been excellent. It is very hard to not touch and see Mum and Dad more regularly, but I am very heartened that they receive love and attention

I have been an advocate for a gentleman who is a resident in Coppice Lodge for the 18-months. Prior to that, I regularly visited other residents. The staff at Coppice Lodge as the best! The care they give is excellent and always tailored to individual residents needs. The home is always spotlessly clean.
Throughout the pandemic, staff have supported the residents in a dedicated and professional, as well as compassionate way.

I have been very satisfied with the genuine friendliness of all the staff towards visitors and the residents. The Coronavirus pandemic has made it difficult to see my father, however, I have found great comfort from staff members reporting on Dad's health, wellbeing and participation in activities.

We have been overwhelmed by the personal care and attention received from all the team members at Coppice Lodge. The carers have been amazing whilst caring for my mum, they have answered more questions than any other professionals we have dealt with, they have been the ones to help my mum receive the care she needs and they have kept us informed at every step. All the staff are friendly and helpful. I've eaten meals and snacks which have been homemade and of excellent quality. The entertainment that I've seen (many before lockdown) is always very good. If I have to go into care in later life I hope it's somewhere like Coppice Lodge.

My mum went into this care home two weeks before lockdown. I haven't been able to see her properly since, but I know she is being cared for and looked after, the staff are all extremely good and informative and keep me updated.
I am unable to comment on some of the options as I haven't actually been
in the home since Mum went in.

My father has been treated with dignity and love whilst at Coppice Lodge. Staff are aware of his likes and dislikes and try to accommodate where possible. My father has had a few outbursts whilst at the home which suggests that his dementia is getting worse. They have suggested a move upstairs to the
dementia section but the family have not wanted this. The staff have accepted our decision and worked well to suggest other ways around his problems. Very nice people to work with.

My mother regularly says how happy she is in the home, she loves the staff and enjoys the food and is very happy with her bedroom.
The staff have worked very hard during the last 9 months and taken great care of the residents, and my mother has been quite happy during this time and felt settled at
the home.
It would be good if the home could utilise modern technology more and allow residents regular FaceTime opportunities with their families.

“I really enjoy organising the activities and entertainment for the residents and seeing how much they enjoy the experiences.”


Angela has worked with Ideal Carehomes as Front of House Manager since October 2015. She has a wealth of experience in the care sector, starting her journey as Night Care Assistant in 1994 and progressing to a Senior Night Care Assistant for a Lincolnshire-based company, where she gained her NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care. In 2004, Angela decided to broaden her skills in the domiciliary care industry and worked as Deputy Care Manager, where she gained her Registered Manager’s Award. She then became an NVQ Assessor and gained her A1 and V1 qualifications.


In her role at Coppice Lodge, Angela is a welcoming and familiar face to family and friends visiting the home. She likes nothing more than liaising with prospective residents and assisting them from initial enquiry to moving into their new home. Angela works closely with the Home Manager and Regional Activities Executive to arrange regular and exciting activities for the residents, including a ‘Social Saturday’ event which takes place each week in the brand new café area at home.
