My uncle passed away in August 2018 at another home.
The support Coppice Lodge gave to my aunt and the rest of our family was second to none. They showed a great level of care and understanding to my aunt in her time of need.
Coppice Lodge is by far and away the best care home in Nottingham.

This care home meets all Mum's needs and also the family's needs. All the staff are very friendly and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble for them.


Mum has flourished in the home. Her mobility is better, she is eating well and joining in with the activities. She is having fewer falls than she

was at home and generally looks so much better.


The home is spotless and there are so many activities for residents and families to enjoy. As a family, we really enjoy visiting Mum in these lovely surroundings.


The most important thing for us is that Mum is safe and happy...priceless!

When I visited my friend at Coppice Lodge I was shocked to see how homely the home is and how welcoming all the staff are there. They are very helpful and will go to any length to help make the residents happy.
The management are also very welcoming and know all of the residents very well which is
very nice to see.
I was also offered to have lunch with my friend which was very nice as we used to have lunch weekly together before she needed extra help from carers.
They also have very good activities going on.

My mum in law was so happy here. She was safe and loved by everyone. We live a long way away but were secure in the knowledge that she was well cared for.


Whenever we visited at any time, we were welcomed and mum was well looked after. Her time here was one of her happiest times. She enjoyed the

My mother moved into Coppice Lodge two and a half years ago. My mother was loved and cared for all the time. The way she was looked after was excellent at all times. I would highly recommend Coppice Lodge and if needed would happily come to Coppice Lodge myself. It is like a 5* hotel.

My mother spent the last three and a half years of her life in Coppice Lodge. The present manager has turned a poorly run Care Home into one of the best Care Homes you could find. I cannot praise her and her staff highly enough for the way they looked after my mother, particularly in the last few weeks
of her life when she was very poorly. You would not find better carers anywhere. My brother and I cannot thank all the staff enough.

I feel Coppice Lodge and the staff have been so caring to my Mum-in-law as well as to myself. I feel very happy with the care given to my Mum-in0-law. My mother-in-law spent her last 7 nights at Coppice Lodge following recovery from a major fall. Coppice Lode is light, bright, friendly and full of smiling loving staff. Everyone was welcoming to her and us. They were very appreciative of any support we gave. Mum's quality opf life as a resident was
far higher than it had been for many years. The activities craft and social are frequent and varied. I expected her to gain from these by observation and hearing but joined in almost everything due to the appeal and friendly encouragement. The information board and FaceBook page gave us clues of conversations when we visited and daily updates when we didn't. I enjoy being involved with the 'Poppy Service' and fundraisers. Their love and care of mum and us at the end was appreciated. You haven't seen the last of me!

The transition from home to care home is one of the most emotionally demanding situations in life. The professionalism, compassion and understanding of staff eased my mum, family and friends into a new chapter of life. It was a "home" from home experience.
We the family and friends were always welcomed.
The atmosphere was one of genuine care and support. This is a service of the highest quality.
I had told my mum only the best would do and this was delivered. Thank you.

Our aunt has been at this care home since May 2017. As far as we are concerned she has always been treated with care, love and respect. The manager at the home is very supportive to us and she’s always available for a chat and advice if we need it.
l don’t think we could have found a better care home
for our aunt. She’s settled there and seems happy. We can’t fault it. The staff are always welcoming and we feel content with our choice for her.

Coppice Lodge nursing home is a lovely, vibrant, friendly and clean nursing home. The food is clearly made with passion and the staff truly love their job and it shows. There is always a friendly face to greet you at reception and everyone is happy to help you when needed. My father-in-law loved living
there and never complained. The manager is so helpful and supportive and is always a breath of fresh air to deal with. I will miss my trips to see my father-in-law as I was made to feel so welcome. Coppice Lodge deserves recognition for how good this home is.

On visiting my brother I was delighted with the care, kindness and dignity he received at the home. Living in Ireland, I hadn't seen him since he went into Coppice. I am going home to Ireland very happy with all the care given to him. Thank you to all the staff for my very warm welcome.

My husband had only had 2 x 1 week stays for respite in 2 other homes which were so unsatisfactory I would not let him return. I wrote full details of failures to management and got no response!
I'm overjoyed (as is my family) to see my husband being so well cared for and content. Nothing is too much
trouble for the staff. He is helped to stay up for as long as he likes to watch TV (one night it was midnight) and had a long lie in the next day, 10.30, and still served his full English breakfast - marvellous home.

Coppice Lodge will hold a dear place in my heart. In the 7 months, my Dad was with them he was the happiest I'd seen him in years. The manager was so helpful and respected my Dad's wishes, she went above and beyond her duties in my eyes.


She was always available to talk to us as son and daughter

in law. The staff were all amazing again going above and beyond their duties to keep my dad happy. I will definitely recommend this home (and have) as the elderly deserve dignity, respect and love and clearly get it there.

“I really enjoy organising the activities and entertainment for the residents and seeing how much they enjoy the experiences.”


Angela has worked with Ideal Carehomes as Front of House Manager since October 2015. She has a wealth of experience in the care sector, starting her journey as Night Care Assistant in 1994 and progressing to a Senior Night Care Assistant for a Lincolnshire-based company, where she gained her NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care. In 2004, Angela decided to broaden her skills in the domiciliary care industry and worked as Deputy Care Manager, where she gained her Registered Manager’s Award. She then became an NVQ Assessor and gained her A1 and V1 qualifications.


In her role at Coppice Lodge, Angela is a welcoming and familiar face to family and friends visiting the home. She likes nothing more than liaising with prospective residents and assisting them from initial enquiry to moving into their new home. Angela works closely with the Home Manager and Regional Activities Executive to arrange regular and exciting activities for the residents, including a ‘Social Saturday’ event which takes place each week in the brand new café area at home.
