I want to review the excellent work of the Entertainment team at Worplesdon View. There is such a constant variety of activities for the Residents and over Christmas a lot of work went into making so many extra happy activities during Christmas and making sure everyone could join in including relatives and friends too.

As the daughter of a resident, I have been thoroughly impressed with Worplesdon View. All of the staff (including the General Manager) are very welcoming, caring, compassionate and professional and the facilities and overall cleanliness of the home are excellent. The nursing staff in particular are absolutely incredible - I'm so grateful to them for looking after my mother so well.

When my Dad had to sadly go into a nursing home, my Mum and I knew instantly that Worplesdon View was the one for him. When we came to view we immediately could sense what a wonderful place it was. The room was just perfect for him in every way. From day one all the staff were so welcoming to us all and made sure we knew that this was our home too and we could come and visit at any time. The staff took the time to get to know my Dad and to understand his little ways - and how to get round them ! The care is first class, as is the food. The cakes and treats in the cafe were always a delight. Nicola, the new manager, has been an amazing addition to the staff.
When it came to my Dad's passing, the staff treated us, and him, with so much respect and care. Giving us the time and space we needed. They were also incredibly supportive.

Thank you to every single member of staff at Worplesdon View who helped make a difficult time all the more bearable.

Our family have been extremely impressed by the overall care provided for our mum in the 2 years that she has been at Worplesdon View. The quality of care at all levels has been remarkable, and the members of the care team in particular cannot be praised highly enough for their commitment and enthusiasm. The reception and activities staff are also really helpful and positive at all times. We never need to worry about our mum and we know she is in the best possible hands.

My stepmum has been in this lovely welcoming care home for nearly 9months, and absolutely loves it. The staff from reception, management, nurses and carers do an absolute amazing job by looking after their residents and relatives, I always feel at home there. The entertainment staff do a fantastic job making sure they cater for everyone from tv programmes to live entertainment and just having fun. Everyone who work's at the care home have their own jobs and they all help each other out as well. The residents are lovely I try and talk to them when I visit, some of them we have a laugh together and it's lovely.

I am very sad to hear the news that the exceptional manger will be leaving Worplesdon View this month.
He set such a high standard and obviously has a caring attitude, as the turn over in staff is minimal and they all seem extremely happy working there.

I look forward to meeting the new manager soon and am hopeful that they will continue with the old managers good work and continuity of happy, caring and extremely helpful staff.

My wife has been at Worplesdon View since March. The first thing you notice is the cleanliness of the entire building. The staff, no matter what position, or shift, are always extremely polite and welcoming, especially to our visitors. All staff are helpful, kind and considerate to my wife, nothing is too much trouble.
We feel it is more like a hotel with nurses and carers than a home.

Coming to a nursing home for the first time can be a bit daunting but at Worplesdon you quickly make friends with staff and fellow patients. Everyone has a story to tell and it becomes a family.

My mum has been a resident for 4 1/2 years and my dad was a residents for 2 years before his death in June 2023. At no point have I had any issues with Worplesdon View. The management and team are wonderful, very open and helpful and the level of care is excellent. My mum is very shy but has built great relationships with the team and enjoys their company. I cannot thank management and team enough for their kindness and for ensuring my mum is extremely well looked after.

My father and his twin sister were 92 in January and we had a private lunch for them and our family at Barchester Worplesdon View. The staff were so welcoming to all our family young and old and the food was delicious. The chef had made a wonderful chocolate cake for the twins which was much appreciated. The room was decorated with balloons and happy birthday banner. It was a very happy occasion with the staff popping in often to ask if we needed anything. The manager came to speak to us all too.
The staff at the home from the reception team to the activities staff, clinical staff, carers, housekeeping and chefs are always so polite and cheery. They are gentle and kind with the residents.

We feel very fortunate to have our father in residence there.

Excellent range of activities available and my husband actively encouraged and supported to take part. The range of gentle stretching exercises, tai chi and balloon volleyball are all tremendous, keeping muscles active, balance honed and transfers skills, all borne in mind. It's fun too. Please keep this range of movement activities going.

I spent two weeks in respite care at the Barchester Worplesdon View. I am a full-time wheelchair user with little that I can do myself. I was impressed during my initial visit by both the accommodation and facilities available and the friendliness. When I went to stay I found that everything I had seen on my initial visit was correct and was actually surpassed as I found the care, accommodation, food and facilities were all exceptionally good. Nothing I asked for was too much trouble and I thoroughly enjoyed staying there and will certainly return in the future. Thank you to all the staff who made my stay so good.

My mother was a resident of Barchester Worplesdon View for seven months in 2024, suffering from Alzheimer's. On first visit, we were impressed by the building and facilities and a warm reception to our visit.
Sadly, my mother passed after seven months but from the first to last day, the entire staff and their approach to care needs surpassed all expectations of the family.
The level of care, courtesy, respect and retention of personal dignity was always foremost in the staff and the genuine concern and empathy were truly astonishing.

Thank you so much from our family, it will never be forgotten.

We have visited our elderly friend at Barchester Worplesdon View several times and on each occasion have received a friendly and helpful welcome. The high quality of the building itself, the individual rooms for residents, the style of the decor, the cleanliness and attention to detail is matched by the warmth and friendliness of all the staff we have met.
