Balmoral House is situated close to the centre of Scunthorpe in prestigious Old Brumby. All bedrooms are en suite, beautifully decorated and tastefully furnished. There is a choice of lounge and dining areas as well as a hairdressing salon and coffee bar. The home is centred around a delightful, private courtyard where residents can relax or help tend the plants and vegetables.

Their excellent team of dedicated, experienced carers treat everyone as an individual and work hard to ensure residents, their families and friends all feel at home.

Tailored activities and entertainment are offered throughout the week at Balmoral House and the freshly prepared, nutritious meals are home cooked. Special dietary requirements can also be catered for. Trips out by minibus are arranged regularly.

The purpose-built home, which opened in August 2012, predominately provides care for older people and those with needs relating to dementia.

The home is owned by Kapil Care Homes Ltd which also operates two other care homes in Scunthorpe.

The staff have been excellent with my grandad since moving in and shown a real interest in getting to know more about him. He has settled in very well after losing his wife recently and I am glad he’s in a safe environment. The ability to visit my grandad is great and not limited to a small window of
time. I would like to thank everyone at the care home for their continued support and care of my grandad.

My grandad has settled really well at Balmoral House. The staff have gone above and beyond, not only with grandad but to us as a family during his transition period. The staff and the home are fabulous.

When I first came here, I wondered what I had come to, but the staff, the place itself were excellent. The care home is well decorated and spotless. Everybody really bent over backwards to help and make things comfortable for me.

This residential home restores faith in the care system. At all levels, the strong team performed in an exemplary manner looking after Dad, a vulnerable person with challenging behaviour problems. Without exception, the staff were bright and cheerful, friendly and welcoming. They took the time and trouble
to get to know my dad, which helped in responding effectively as circumstances changed. The home is well-led, the manager of the home is actively effective, both in coordinating and implementing care plans and in communicating with family and medical agencies. There were numerous examples where the commitment of staff and management exceeded any expectation. Full consideration was always given to the safety and welfare of my father, as well as other residents and staff. The building itself is spotlessly clean, bright and airy and well maintained. The food is fresh and delicious. It is evidently a pleasant organisation to work for as is demonstrated by the high staff retention rates and public recognition of the team's service. When Dad's deterioration meant it was not feasible to remain, the care, flexibility and support shown by the management and staff in assisting was invaluable. We are very grateful for all their support given.

Balmoral is a bright and pleasant place. The staff are friendly and helpful. They work well together even when often short-staffed. All areas appear to be clean and clear of clutter. The recent decorations and new chairs etc., make the place light and airy.

My sister was a resident for nine months but, sadly, passed away in March. Balmorals staff cared for her very well. Showing kindness and compassion at all times, also being very supportive to all family members. I have visited the home recently and was greeted very warmly, will continue to keep in touch.

I have been in Balmoral House for 3 weeks respite care and I have been more than happy with the care and safety I have received. The is food and nicely cooked. The staff are very caring and happy people and I would be happy to recommend Balmoral.

My wife and I live in Canada. My mother has been attending day visits to Balmoral for the past few years. She has totally enjoyed the activities, social activities and the loving staff. This was the first process to help her for the time she required 24-hour care. The staff, managers and everyone who
works there welcomed Mom with open arms this month when she moved in permanently. For us, we noticed how everyone is so happy, loving and caring to all the residents. A relief for us for sure!

Balmoral House are very professional, friendly, clean and exceptionally caring to my father and the family and friends who visit the home. It has a lovely atmosphere and nothing seems too much. The food is of good quality and readily available for my dad. Its a huge peace of mind for us the family.
