Balmoral House

I am safe here. Yes, the lasses are great. Well cared for, food is excellent. Nice relaxing bath and I have put 4lb on in weight.

Balmoral House excepted my nan for respite after some time in hospital and unfortunately, Balmoral is where she lost her battle with Dementia and sadly passed away just a few weeks ago. I would just like to express how lovely the manager and her staff were, to not just my nan but to myself and my mum. I couldn't have wished for better care and support from the manager and her team at Balmoral. We will be forever grateful for their care and support to us as a family in such difficult times.

Having been in hospital for ten days with septicaemia, I was taken to the departure lounge having been told carers were in place for me to go home. I was told none were available and I would have to go into respite care in Balmoral house. Having had the experience of another home in the past I truly was not looking forward to it. On arriving they fixed me up with a lovely room, bright and pleasant, patio door. I was surprised, being isolated it was quite roomy for me to walk about with my frame. This I had to do having rheumatoid arthritis for twenty-five years. The staff, all of them friendly, efficient and always had a smile. The atmosphere was lovely. Couldn't fault any of them. Food was good, always willing to please. I have been well looked after. Thank you. You have restored my confidence in the care system.

He looks well cared for and is much happier now he lives at Balmoral House.

The staff keep me updated and I can relax knowing my grandfather is safe and very well cared for.

The staff have been excellent with my grandad since moving in and shown a real interest in getting to know more about him. He has settled in very well after losing his wife recently and I am glad he’s in a safe environment. The ability to visit my grandad is great and not limited to a small window of time. I would like to thank everyone at the care home for their continued support and care of my grandad.

My grandad has settled really well at Balmoral House. The staff have gone above and beyond, not only with grandad but to us as a family during his transition period. The staff and the home are fabulous.

We could not be happier with the care and support Mum is receiving. Nothing is too much trouble for management or carers. Balmoral has a lovely, comfortable, warm feeling to it.

The facilities are fantastic and a credit to the care home company.

This residential home restores faith in the care system. At all levels, the strong team performed in an exemplary manner looking after Dad, a vulnerable person with challenging behaviour problems. Without exception, the staff were bright and cheerful, friendly and welcoming. They took the time and trouble to get to know my dad, which helped in responding effectively as circumstances changed. The home is well-led, the manager of the home is actively effective, both in coordinating and implementing care plans and in communicating with family and medical agencies. There were numerous examples where the commitment of staff and management exceeded any expectation. Full consideration was always given to the safety and welfare of my father, as well as other residents and staff. The building itself is spotlessly clean, bright and airy and well maintained. The food is fresh and delicious. It is evidently a pleasant organisation to work for as is demonstrated by the high staff retention rates and public recognition of the team's service. When Dad's deterioration meant it was not feasible to remain, the care, flexibility and support shown by the management and staff in assisting was invaluable. We are very grateful for all their support given.

The manager and staff are fantastic at Balmoral House, they go above and beyond to keep the residents happy, it is always a pleasure to visit my grandad in his home from home.

Balmoral is a bright and pleasant place. The staff are friendly and helpful. They work well together even when often short-staffed. All areas appear to be clean and clear of clutter. The recent decorations and new chairs etc., make the place light and airy.

I grow my veg in the garden. My brother helps me. I like to eat chips.

My sister was a resident for nine months but, sadly, passed away in March. Balmorals staff cared for her very well. Showing kindness and compassion at all times, also being very supportive to all family members. I have visited the home recently and was greeted very warmly, will continue to keep in touch.

Fantastic team and great with my father. Very happy with everything, clean and tidy and food looks great. 5 stars!!

My mother and fathers stay has been enjoyable and a great break for them. A shame the lady who organises activities was away this week.
