Balmoral House

I have been in Balmoral House for 3 weeks respite care and I have been more than happy with the care and safety I have received. The is food and nicely cooked. The staff are very caring and happy people and I would be happy to recommend Balmoral.

My wife and I live in Canada. My mother has been attending day visits to Balmoral for the past few years. She has totally enjoyed the activities, social activities and the loving staff. This was the first process to help her for the time she required 24-hour care. The staff, managers and everyone who works there welcomed Mom with open arms this month when she moved in permanently. For us, we noticed how everyone is so happy, loving and caring to all the residents. A relief for us for sure!

Balmoral House are very professional, friendly, clean and exceptionally caring to my father and the family and friends who visit the home. It has a lovely atmosphere and nothing seems too much. The food is of good quality and readily available for my dad. Its a huge peace of mind for us the family.

Amazing staff, resident entertainment, co-ordinator trips out. Very clean.

The care home where my mother lives is a very professional, safe, caring place. She is treated with respect and all her needs are catered for, I couldn't ask for anything else.

I have been coming to the home for a long while now and I find it very nice. No complaints.

The staff are always happy to help and go the extra mile. Staff are always cheerful and polite. Mum seems happy in her environment. She is constantly praising the food particularly the cakes.

My dad has been in Balmoral House since October 2017. This isn't his first visit. We find Balmoral House a pleasant place to be. All the residents are free to move around the corridors, with seating provided for a rest. There are varied activities to join in if they are able. The menu is varied and caters for all tastes. My dad has deteriorated since being in Balmoral House and the staff are very friendly and helpful for dad. His has had a number of falls in Balmoral House and as next of kin, they ring me when this happens. My only criticism is a shortage of staff at certain times when we need to ask for help, no one is around, especially toileting and asking advice.

Good, friendly, caring staff always got time for residents and family.

Nothing is ever to much trouble for staff or management.

The management and staff are just fantastic they can't do enough for you, always ready to help no matter what.

My mothers has been resident at Balmoral House for a year and she absolutely loves it there. The staff are wonderful, very professional and most of all very caring. She says, "they always speak to me and this makes a difference" and " I couldn't be looked after better". Initially I felt rather guilty about Mum going into 'a home', however, I now realise I would not look after her as well as Balmoral House do. I attend the resident's meetings and this gives me an insight into the running of the home and I can say without a shadow of a doubt that I would highly recommend Balmoral House to anyone. The rooms are lovely and private, meals are varied and well thought out, there is a host of activities and special events which interest and stimulate the residents. Everyone is welcoming right from the domestic staff to the management.

Mum and Dad both live at this home - I am very pleased how they are being cared for and trust all the staff and management who care for them. The home is a happy place and we have always been made welcome. We are always involved in the care provided and are regularly asked if we have any problems or issues to raise. We do not worry about Mum and Dad as they are being cared for very well. Thank you.

Mum has been a resident of Balmoral House for 3 years now and after a difficult start, she did settle with the perseverance of the staff and her family. Despite the difficulties, she never criticised the staff and always says how kind they were to her. She is always treated with kindness and dignity. As her health deteriorated, the staff have always been on hand to support her in doing as much as she can. She has loved the trips out and been actively involved in a range of activities, both physical and mental. Occasions including birthdays, Christmas, Easter, Halloween and the Summer fair are celebrated with gusto. The daily cake for any visitor is a lovely gesture. Food quality, quantity and variety is excellent. Residents safety is paramount. I would recommend Balmoral House unreservedly.

My mum was sent to Balmoral House from the hospital. I cannot fault any of her care, the food was excellent and your staff truly care not just physically but mentally. I am so pleased that her favourite carer was with her at the end of her life. I could not have wished my mum to be in any other place than where she was. Thank you so much for all your help.

Very pleasant. Staff are very helpful and pleasant natured, food is good and large grips on knife and fork a great help.

Entrance to Balmoral is always very clean and tidy. Homemade cake is nearly always on offer at reception for visitors. Very modern. Rooms are excellent and kept clean. Bedding is always clean and so is the en-suite. Staff are very welcoming, professional and kind. Corridors are always clean and tidy. Balmoral does not have that distinct care home smell that you get in most places but is rather like a small modern hotel. Overall I am very satisfied with Balmoral as a whole. I would say it is a bit overpriced!! Ideal for long or short stay too.

When my mum went to the home she was a broken woman, scared of being alone. The staff changed all that she they have my sincere thanks.
