Bucklesham Grange Care Home is a fabulous, first-class place for respite or full-time care.

Totally outstanding - the large majority of staff go above and beyond their day job! I do not have the words to be able to convey how dedicated and lovely they are. Their relationships with my aunt were genuine and heartfelt, these individuals mattered so much to her, especially at a time in her life
when comfort/support become a necessity again. It was never just a carer relationship they had with her, they are unique and very special people. I will never be able to thank them enough.

They have done so well in trying circumstances. Well done. Mum has been very happy, in as much as she can be with advanced dementia. The staff are compassionate and well trained. From the day she arrived, Mum was made welcome at Bucklesham Grange, and so were we. A lovely environment in the home with plenty of activities ensures that Mum is kept engaged. Lovely gardens can be enjoyed during the warm weather, and there is always a friendly and professional welcome - and a coffee!

Since my mum came to Bucklesham in August we have all been made to feel welcome. My mother is happy and all the staff are friendly and look after her very well. All my family are reassured when we can't get to see her that she is looked after well.

When our Dad's dementia took a sudden decline, we decided that some respite care would do us all good. The staff at Bucklesham Grange are lovely, extremely helpful in these strange and challenging Covid times. He was made to feel very welcome, and nothing we asked was too much trouble. Dad ended up
staying almost 2 months and we wouldn't hesitate to use Bucklesham Grange again. I would like to mention the Customer Relationship Manager, who is brilliant, very understanding and helpful, and was lovely with Dad when he needed a bit of extra support and a chat.

My father joined Bucklesham Grange just after the worst of times, in the early summer of last year, with a sudden worsening of his dementia. The adjustment for all of us, in the extreme situation of Covid and lockdowns and repeated isolations, was difficult, but he has now settled and is happy and
healthy. It has been quite a journey, but the new manager and the team he has built around him have always responded immediately and positively (not defensively) to any concerns I have had. I am a psychoanalytic psychotherapist, so a pretty demanding relative, and yet the team have been very willing to think about what might be impacting on Dad's behaviour in a very impressive way. We have resolved early difficulties (before the manager's arrival). I am now able to visit Dad in the care home whenever I want, thanks to a new visiting regime that has been bravely rolled out ahead of other care homes. I find all the staff approachable, kind, intelligent and creative. We feel lucky.

Having reached the very difficult decision that my husband would have to move to respite care for a few weeks to give me a much needed break, the staff at Bucklesham Grange could not have been more supportive and caring. They have made what is an extremely stressful stage in our lives easier than I

At a very dark time for my frail elderly sister-in-law, who was in the hospital over the Christmas and New Year holiday very far from her family during lockdown, Bucklesham Grange was a shining beacon of hope for us all. At a very difficult time for everybody the staff reached out to her with exceptional
kindness and understanding and this was extended also to her distant next of kin. Communication with her family was timely, considerate and helpful. Sadly, it was not to be for very long but I am sure that the care offered was of the highest standard and I am certain that her needs would have been met. The staff at Bucklesham Grange have been absolutely wonderful. They are caring and knowledgeable. Nothing has been too much trouble for them, even though I am overseas, they still keep me up to date with what’s been happening, which is very reassuring during this difficult time.
They also have regular
FaceTime sessions between my mother and me.
Having moved my mother from another care home, who could not handle her dementia, I now wish that she had been at Bucklesham Grange from the start. I highly recommend them.

Dad has Alzheimer's and has been at Bucklesham for 5.5 years now. During this time his care has always been excellent from all elements of staff. We are in regular contact with the Reception and Care Teams, who clearly have close relationships with him. The home is so clean and the rooms and facilities
are exceptional!
The support through lockdown has been brilliant with regular FaceTime chats and update calls, with their use of the Rels App and Facebook. I have also got to know the Lifestyle team in lockdown, who spend so much crucial time with the residents, engaging and encouraging them, supporting FaceTime calls and visits. Their support has been a real help to get dad talking and engaged in our absence.
Everyone at Bucklesham has worked so hard to keep dad and the other residents safe and as happy as possible. Thank you so much for enabling us to keep in touch with dad as best possible and the whole team for all the love you show dad and the other residents.

My Aunt moved to Bucklesham Grange in October. The staff team went above and beyond to make the process as stress-free as possible. It was a long journey for my Aunt who hadn’t been out for over a year but she was well supported and the caring staff made the whole process easy and enjoyable. Special

My father has lived at Bucklesham Grange for over five years. The facilities and care provided have always been excellent and he has been treated with dignity and respect throughout by all the staff at Bucklesham. He is always addressed by his name even if the staff member is just passing him in a corridor.
If he wants to join in with the wide range of activities on offer he can. If he’d rather be by himself or doing something one-to-one he can. The choice is his.
Bucklesham Grange is a very friendly place, for both residents and their visitors. The staff always go “that extra mile” to ensure Dad is as happy and as content as he can be.
As a family, we know Dad is in a safe, caring and friendly home. I would thoroughly recommend Bucklesham Grange.
