The staff that work at Pemberley are hardworking, kind and considerate. Reception staff and office staff always greet visitors with a smile and always have time for a chat - always so welcoming. The resident's rooms are large, bright and airy, unlike most homes I have visited.

Residents' welfare and contentment are always at the forefront of the carers. Residents are always addressed by their Christian names. The bedrooms and communal rooms very clean and tidy. Meals and snacks very tasty and well presented. All in all a first class care home

My father-in-law moved into Pemberley in August 2021. It was sad that he could no longer continue living in his own home, but the past few months have proved that it was the best thing for him. The care he has received is second to none. Everyone is so kind and he quickly became part of the Pemberley family. The rooms are clean, bright and cheerful and it's lovely to see him surrounded by all the things he loves and treasures. His care needs have increased these last few months, and it is such a comfort that despite this he doesn't have to move to a different home. Despite his increased needs he is still encouraged to participate in all the activities and at all times is treated with dignity and gentleness.

My mother, who unfortunately has severe dementia and is confined to bed now, has had wonderful care. Everyone at the home is very kind and empathetic - this includes management, reception/admin and of course the nurses and carers on mum's unit.
It has been distressing to see mum’s marked irreversible deterioration but I’m grateful that she has is receiving such good care.
As she is unable to communicate I am so relieved to know that the carers understand and anticipate her needs.

I also appreciate the challenges the home have faced during the pandemic.

Mum has been here for nearly 9 months now and receives excellent care. Staff are always patient and kind and I know that she is always receiving the help she needs. She recently had a short stay in hospital and was so obviously pleased to be back at Pemberley afterwards that we cannot doubt how happy she is here, even if she is not able to express that herself.

My mother moved to Pemberley House in February 2020, just before the first Covid lockdown, and passed away recently from a cause unrelated to Covid. The care my mother received was excellent, combining professionalism with compassion and genuine affection. I am grateful to everyone for maintaining a sense of normality throughout extremely difficult times. When my mother became terminally ill, the nursing care she received was of the highest standard. I will be forever grateful.

When my father first became a resident I thought what a fantastic place. The staff, the food and the environment were all first-rate. Sadly as time moved on things have changed dramatically. It saddens me to see how a once vibrant home has lost its sparkle. The soul has been ripped out of the home and I blame the lack of senior management for this. Two years ago this would have been a five-star rating, sadly now a two. There are still some kind and caring staff left and I hope they stay because Pemberley needs them.

Due to a sudden change in my dad's health, I had no choice but to place him in a residential setting, however, due to Covid, I knew I was not going to be able to view. In life, I have had cause to visit many care homes and I knew exactly where I wanted my dad to go to be looked after. I was sent photos of a room I knew he would love. He moved there straight from hospital and I was able to see him that day, distanced admittedly, to help him settle. The room in the flesh was equally as nice as the photos. It’s been a harrowing time for all these past months, but the professionalism of every member of staff I have come into contact with has been reassuring - they have and continue, to keep my dad safe. Whilst it’s never easy to make the decision on a care facility for a loved one, in Pemberley and its staff, I’m confident that I made the right choice.

Very happy with Pemberley, the staff in all areas care greatly and this is reflected in any contact with them. The environment is kept clean and fresh. The rooms are lovely. The grounds are kept to a high standard.
Everything is done to help a resident feel at home, nothing is too much of a problem.
If you have any concerns they are dealt with.

I am very happy to recommend.

My dad has been a resident for over six months now and has come to see it as his home. He is looked after well. The staff are friendly and helpful even when they are under lots of pressure with the current pandemic. His room is comfortable, and he feels safe there. It is hard not being able to visit at the moment, but we are able to see him via a video call. Due to his condition, it is difficult to find out what activities he gets involved in, but I know he has been on a few organised trips prior to the current restrictions.

My mum has been at Pemberley for a year now and at the beginning, I was absolutely against it. I’ve heard many rumours about care homes and never entertained the idea of my mum living anywhere else, but with me. We have lived together for over 30 years. My husband, my Grandson, mum and myself were a very happy family unit.
I have to say, on first impressions, Pemberley looked to be a lovely place. The building, gardens and rooms were of a very high standard. It is known in our family, as the hotel.
Having been there a year. I can honestly say. It is fab in so many ways. The staff are truly genuine and caring towards the residents. Nothing is too much trouble.
Since the lockdown, they have been stringent in following the Government guidelines. No one in, no one out. And, safe to say. No known cases have been reported.

It’s sad, I cannot see my mum, but I know she is in the best possible place and cared for so well. Looking forward to seeing her and having lunch at Pemberley. Stay safe.

As we live in Scotland we were unable to visit my mother-in-law regularly or frequently but we took great comfort knowing that she was being so well cared for right to the end. My father was admitted to Pemberley for end of life care following 6 weeks in hospital. During the settling in period there were many challenges but the team on 'Hampshire Avenue' faced these with professionalism and genuine care. Always respectful of how difficult things were for Dad as well as for the family. We were always made to feel welcome at any time. The gardens and sun terrace were a favourite of Dad's. The food was superb and varied while being nutritious and comforting like homecooked. Towards the end, Dad's care team helped him pass with dignity, surrounded by his family in quiet calm surroundings, for which we are forever grateful.
