I have nothing but praise for all the staff they are so caring and kind. Always ready for a chat and listen to all our worries with concern and guidance.
There is a variety of activities that both my parents really enjoy, always something for them to do.

It is so nice for me to know they are well cared for and happy.

My husband has lived in Pemberley House for the last four years. He has advanced Multiple Sclerosis and over that period of time, he has been well cared for by the fantastic nurses and carers. One of the hardest choices is looking for a care home for a loved one when they are not able to live in their own home due to an illness.
All the staff at Pemberley House are all so welcoming when we arrive every day at the home, they make you feel like a big family.
We get offered free beverages and every day fresh cakes from the Chef.
The garden at Pemberley House is such a relaxing place, the activities staff have worked very hard with some residents to make it so colourful with beautiful flowers. All the residents and staff enjoyed a fantastic BBQ last month in the garden, everyone enjoyed the day so much we are going to have another one soon.

The assistant manager is always available to discuss any worries we may have as a family about my husband's illness progressing and to give us her support.

Thank you, Marian. We understand that it has been a difficult decision for you but hope you feel that you and your husband are part of the Pemberley family.

My father moved into Pemberley House in April 2019. He had been in hospital following some health issues.
Since moving in, he has blossomed in himself, he appeared happy and contented. The care and support he has received has been exceptional. The level of interaction has transformed his levels of well being.

The staff have been amazing from top to bottom, cleaners, chefs, carers, reception. All.

My father moved into Pemberley in August 2017. He was 95 and still mentally very alert but getting very frail. The staff at Pemberley regarded his respected his needs to retain as much independence as possible but treated him always with compassion, respect, consideration and gentle care. Sadly he died this month just after his 97th birthday but no one could have been better cared for. All the staff in whatever role treated my father with such tenderness and attentiveness that his family will always be in his debt. They also cared for me too when times were difficult. My father became very fond of the staff at Pemberley and I cannot praise them or thank them enough.

The receptionist has a delightful manner. A pleasure to deal with.

Food is OK and carers are very nice. Mum's only reservation is the night staff. Sometimes the agency staff comes across as a bit disinterested.

I am really happy with the standard of care my mother has received since arriving at Pemberley House. The staff encourage her to engage with the other residents but she is allowed to make free choices at all times. She always looks well and clean and I am kept informed. The food standards and choices are good and her room and clothes are clean at all times.

Many thanks to all.

Review from Wyatt G (Son of Resident) published on 18 February 2019 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
I have been very pleased with the whole experience from the start to the current situation.
My mother needed care locally and Pemberley House stood out from our first visit. The staff were very helpful and took time to show us around.
As well, they were very efficient and were very understanding in arranging for my mother to move in at short notice.
My mother likes the staff and they are very caring and understanding and the environment is very good.
The food is nice and there's a good variety of menus.
The rooms are nice and there is flexibility so you can have your own space and you can join others in the communal area for meals.
As well, if there is an incident they are very professional and keep you informed of what has happened, i.e. a fall and what they are doing about it
So this gives you peace of mind that your loved one is safe and that is key.
The flexibility in visiting times is good because it means we plan ahead with no restrictions.

So I would recommend Pemberley House to everyone.

My father has been resident at Pemberley for 18 months, during which time we have experienced some very challenging times with his behaviour resulting from his Alzheimer's. The staff have sometimes struggled with this aspect of his care but have communicated with us and together we have found ways to resolve the problems. Dad has only ever been treated with compassion and dignity, from all staff including hospitality, administration and care staff. He loves his home and has a wonderful relationship with staff. He is happy and content and importantly, he is safe and well cared for. Thank you, Pemberley.
