Groveland Park is an exceptional care home with amazing facilities but more importantly staff members who work above and beyond to ensure the residents are happy and healthy and feel like they are at home. As a family member, to see your elderly relative happy and safe is the biggest reassurance you
can get.

Very caring, gave me confidence that my father's needs would be met when he first moved in after a crisis.
I like the fact that all the staff from seniors, to maintenance manager to cleaners - all take an interest in the residents and all help to make them feel cared for and at home.

My mother has been living in Groveland Park Care Home for the last 4 1/2 years. She was very happy here and although had dementia she was encouraged to take part in all the activities throughout the home. The staff were kind to both residents and their families and the doors were open to visit whenever
we wanted to. It was wonderful too to have the Bistro available to take mum to as she thought she was going out for coffee.

My mother has been at Groveland Park Care Home for a little over two years and is now 97 years old. After a surprisingly short settling in period and despite her dementia, her life is happy with many people to talk to, both the other residents and the staff.
There are many important aspects to be
considered when entrusting the care of a mother to a care home but the most important aspect is the staff. In Groveland Park Care Home, the staff are well trained but most of all, caring. The welfare and happiness of the residents is demonstrated not by nice words but by empathetic actions from each staff member.
The facilities, especially the entertainment and food are first class.
Very happy with the quality of care provided by Groveland Park Care Home.

My Godmother has only been here 3 weeks but has settled in very well.
The staff are second to none and listen.
We looked at many care homes before finding Grovelands.
Aunty is very happy and so are we.
There is constant entertainment. Yesterday Aunty went out for a cream tea at a garden centre.

Very caring people. Very clean, doesn't smell like other care homes we visited. Entertainment brilliant, mum is very happy. She is more sociable being here. Needs a slightly bigger bistro as at times full and quite hot. Food lovely and service very good from the staff in the bistro.
Front reception
is very welcoming. Manager very helpful when I was very stressed.

I cannot express my gratitude to the management and staff who looked after my Mum in the last few months of her life. The home was fantastic and the Manager runs a very tight ship and is respected by all her team. I thank them all from the bottom of my heart for the love and attention they gave Mum.

My father has been a resident at Groveland Park for just over 9 months.
Dad's care has always been excellent which gives us, as a family, great peace of mind knowing he is safe and very happy.
Everywhere is very clean and bright.
All the staff are lovely and more like old friends.
They are always
available if you have any queries or concerns.
Every day the daily activities are well planned and fun.
The food is also excellent.
Wouldn't want anything more for Dad.

We visited an old friend and from the moment we arrived were made to feel very welcome.
We were helped through the signing in process and the staff knew exactly who we were there to see.
All staff were extremely friendly and the whole ambience of the home had a really lovely feel about it.
The food
in the bistro was excellent.
We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Groveland Park and would be very happy for our own parents to stay here.

I came to Groveland Park to visit two friends who reside here. They are both looked after so well, their care could not be bettered, in my opinion. The staff look after their every need with such care and compassion. They love the meals and the entertainment, where they can join in the variety of activities
or choose a book from the library and read in their room or in the lounge.
I cannot think of anything that can be provided that is not already here. I hope I can move in one day.

Staff at Groveland Park Care Home are always cheerful, helpful, caring and aware.
My mum moved to the home in June 2017 it had taken a while for her to settle but is now happy. She is well looked after. The home provides varied activities and stimulation of the residents. I have a great relationship
with carers and seniors and feel happy knowing that mum has lovely people looking after her. She is safe which gives me piece of mind.

Current Review Score: 9.6 (9.628)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.6 (9.628) out of 10 for Groveland Park Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.6 out of 5 from 35 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 32 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.628 for Groveland Park Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (303 Excellents x 5) + (62 Goods x 4) + (15 Satisfactorys x 3) + (5 Poors x 2) + (10 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 395 Ratings = 4.628
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Groveland Park Care Home is based on 32 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 55 registered maximum number of service users is 11, which has been reached with 32 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
