From when I made my first enquiry about a place for my mother until she passed away, I have nothing but praise for the staff. The facilities and quality of care provided could not be faulted. Kind, caring, knowledgable and compassionate. They gave Mum everything she needed, and I couldn't be more grateful
or impressed.

Mum continues to receive excellent care through the pandemic. Safety is the highest priority and staff show such loving care and attention to every aspect of looking after Mum, from smiling eyes behind a PPE mask, beautiful food, clean and attractive surroundings to activities Mum loves to take part
in. Despite restrictions, the management has made sure that families can keep in touch with loved ones via video calls, window visits and now a very smart and comfortable visitors lodge. The CEO and home manager hold regular webinars to update us too. In these difficult times, it is so very good to know that Mum is safe and so well cared for. I have missed seeing her face to face and holding her hand, of course, but I don't have to worry about her. She could not have better care anywhere else!

Groveland Park Care Home is a wonderful place that fills me with trust and reassurance about my nan's wellbeing and safety. The staff here are amazing at all times but how they have adapted to enable contact during this pandemic is truly admirable. This review is not long enough to list the reasons
why this care home is second to none but what I can say is that they have gone above and beyond to help us on the outside to stay in touch with our loved ones and they do it with a smile. Thank you so much to you all.

Groveland Park Care Home is a superbly run home and their reaction to the COVID pandemic has been robust and effective.
I feel that my mother is as safe as she could be owing to the protocols that have been put in place by the management.
The staff are brilliant and genuinely care about the residents,
ensuring they are looked after and entertained as much as possible.
The home is clean, well managed and welcoming.

Our first visit to Groveland Park this last weekend. We were absolutely delighted to see our lovely sister in such good health and also to see her looking so happy - laughing and smiling telling us that the home is catering for her every need and she wants for nothing. Hair and nails were all done to
perfection, and we came away from our visit much happier about leaving her in the care of the staff at Groveland Park.

The home is like a small hotel - attractive and welcoming. Staff are kind and efficient, always have time to be with residents and sensitive to their feelings. There is always some activity going on, and visitors are always welcomed. Currently, they are managing the covid-19 precautions well; I believe
they have had no infections in the home.

Nan is very happy ay Groveland. I have found all of the staff to be very attentive and caring with a good sense of humour. Grovelands reaction and implementation of protective measures for COVID-19 were exceptional. The food and facilities are great and the home is always clean. Nothing is too much
effort for the staff.

Amazing home from home feeling, in 8 days the difference in my friend was unbelievable she was able to walk using a frame, cut up her food and use the toilet and had also gained weight and looked much healthier. Staff are so lovely and friendly its hard to believe somewhere like this exists.

New to the care home, heard good reviews and must say all justified. Lovely clean home, well presented and maintained. My neighbour has settled in very well. Everyone involved with her has expressed a view that she is safe, secure and most of all happy and content. I see another resident a lot so I
can gauge her health and well being since being in the home, in six weeks she has improved greatly, she can even walk a little which she couldn't when she first arrived. Staff are excellent.

My mother-in-law is very happy, well looked after and feels safe. The staff are kind and obviously caring. She recently had a birthday we were fortunate to be able to have a meal with her, which was excellent. She thoroughly enjoyed her day, and all the staff made it very special for her.
Thank you,

I visited my Aunt on Thursday 26th September at Groveland Park. I was very impressed with the friendliness of all the staff and both reception and in and around the home. Everyone who we passed acknowledged my Aunt and knew her name. Everything was very clean and well managed. The atmosphere was very
calm and caring. Everyone was treated with dignity and respect.

Current Review Score: 9.6 (9.628)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.6 (9.628) out of 10 for Groveland Park Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.6 out of 5 from 35 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 32 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.628 for Groveland Park Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (303 Excellents x 5) + (62 Goods x 4) + (15 Satisfactorys x 3) + (5 Poors x 2) + (10 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 395 Ratings = 4.628
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Groveland Park Care Home is based on 32 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 55 registered maximum number of service users is 11, which has been reached with 32 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
