Mum has lived at Groveland Park Care Home for two years now and has said, as she can't live in her own home, this is the best place to be. The staff are kind, caring and helpful. It is a lovely home, with many facilities that are very well maintained, including the pretty garden which Mum really enjoys. Any issues raised are dealt with promptly and in a friendly and efficient manner.

Mum is happy and I know she is well cared for so it is a relief. I can visit when I want to, if I can't get there I know Mum is okay. The food is good quality and it's clean. I like the staff, they ring if there are any problems immediately.

Mum has been at Groveland Park for eighteen months now. She has settled really well and now considers Groveland to be her home. The care Mum receives here is excellent. All the staff know her and I feel that Mum's needs are met extremely well.

Very happy with the care Mum is receiving. Your care during various Covid issues has been amazing. Hopefully can now do a few more external outings.
Thank you for your review, we are arranging more outings which are exciting with Christmas fast approaching. These will be listed on our schedule of events. I am pleased that you are happy with the care our team provide to your mum.
My father came to Groveland Park Care Home in February this year. I cannot speak highly enough of the staff and the level of care provided. It's so reassuring to know that Dad is being looked after so well. I am also made to feel so welcome when visiting Dad. We've just had a meal together in the bistro - excellent.
It is so pleasing to hear that your father has settled well into Groveland Park. We value the continued relationships after a loved one comes to stay at Groveland Park, our bistro and fine dining provide a perfect environment for family get-togethers which are evidently enjoyed. I will share this review with our staff.
The alarm system went off all day every day. The food was very poor, sandwich and mouse for dinner, dry chicken for dinner with salad. One day our friends were visiting and they witnessed my mother-in-law ask for a tomato or pickle to go with the plain cheese sandwich, the staff said no we do not have it.
She was not invited to join in with any activities. One day she had to wait more than an hour for paracetamol. We sent her in with a medication list from the GP, it says paracetamol as and when required, we also sent her in with paracetamol.
She paid £1950 a week for respite care, thus isn't good value for money at all.
Thank you for sharing your review of Groveland Park, we welcome feedback to ensure that we can deliver person-centred care and meet individual expectations. I am sorry that you feel on this occasion we have not met yours. I have had the chance to investigate the elements of your concerns in this...
We booked my mother into this facility for two weeks respite recently. We ended up taking her out a week early. Although most of the staff were pleasant to her, the care and the facilities did not meet our expectations. We were advised that the chef could make her whatever she wanted to eat, however, this did not happen. Sometimes dinner was just a plain cheese sandwich and a mousse. Our friends were visiting when my mother-in-law asked for tomato or pickle to go with the plain cheese sandwich, the staff said no sorry no pickle or tomato.
Some days it would be almost midday before she got a shower. The most annoying thing was the noise the buzzer system was beeping all day every day. We were promised that there would be activities, my mother was asked to join in very limited activities such as playing cards. This care home does not provide good value for money at all. I emailed them a care plan for her detailing her requirements for the stay, but this was not followed at all.
Thank you for sharing your review of Groveland Park. Our care is very much led by our residents, and we look after them in a way that they themselves want to be looked after, providing care at times that they choose. Our residents are offered to participate in the events in the home and on a...
Both Mum and Dad went and stayed at Grovelands for two weeks of respite care whilst my brother and I were away on holiday. The level of care provided was excellent and I felt completely confident that they were both happy and safe. Mum loved it so much she wants to just go back and be there permanently! The staff were lovely and treated them with kindness and respect.
Kelly, thank you so much for your feedback, will pass it on to the team. We loved having your mum and dad with us.
From before we entered the door, the smile and welcome and standard of “customer/client care” was exceptional. I understand it was two staff members that looked after us from reception to being set up in the bistro. Both of them, I felt, went above and beyond and made the experience exceptional. We have asked Groveland management to let them both know the difference it makes. They were attentive without being over the top but also offered things and a service that was beyond what I’ve experienced before, even with their previous very high standards. Thank you, Groveland, please continue the great work.
Peter thank you so much for your review. I will pass on your kind words to the team. We hope to see you again soon.
After ten days at Groveland, she was so happy that she agreed to stay permanently.
I have nothing but praise for every member of staff. I have always been met with smiles and, I feel they are always willing to go the extra mile.
There is a full programme of interesting activities every week and varied outings which, I know, she loves.
The food is of a high standard and individual needs are catered for.
All in all, I can't think of anywhere (given her needs), that I would rather her be.
I know she is safe and above all happy.
Heartfelt thanks to every member of staff.
Mary, thank you so much for your lovely review. Myself and the team are very grateful.
