Thank you so much for your lovely review. We really appreciate you taking the time to do this. It was an honour to support your grandfather during his time at Wetherby Manor. I will share your comments with the team who I know will appreciate your feedback.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. Our nursing floor accommodates 17 residents, and I can confirm we do staff over what is recommended for this number to ensure all residents are safely supported at all times. Where a loved one begins to present more complex behaviours, the number of staff required to provide support can increase, which can result in a small variation in response time. However we always accommodate this and ensure residents needs are not neglected or compromised. We also have a full-time Activity Co-Ordinator who tailors activities based on residents' hobbies and interests and on the nursing floor activities can be 1-2-1 to ensure an individual is suitably rested. We are also mindful to arrange any activities with residents around family visits so they can ensure quality time with their loved one. We hope this has helped clarify any concerns and please don't hesitate to contact me to discuss this further if needed.
Thank you for taking the time to review Wetherby Manor and we are pleased that you rate our safety and security as excellent. We appreciate your kind comments regarding our home. Myself and my team at Wetherby Manor are here to help and we are happy to discuss feedback, which team members are in the home and all aspects of our care. Our activities are arranged with our residents' input where I will discuss individual activities with your Mother. I will also discuss with our team wearing name badges when these are available.
Thank you for taking the time to review Wetherby Manor. We are pleased you rate a number of areas in our home as excellent and I will ensure our team are aware of your kind feedback. Following our previous discussions, we have now introduced a Zest exercise session every day at 11 am on our nursing floor. We also have an external visitor who visits regularly and completes armchair-based exercises. Our activities are arranged with our resident’s input, where we encourage residents to participate but respect their wishes if they don’t wish to do so. We’re always happy to receive suggestions for activities and entertainment.

We currently have two vacancies for care. Please contact Wetherby Manor directly for more details.
Hello, I’m Caroline, the registered manager of Wetherby Manor. I have over 35 years of experience within the care sector, bringing a wealth of knowledge and understanding about the needs of the people we support.
During my time working in the care industry, I have had different roles that have provided me with varied experience and skills. I worked with Marie Curie, specialising in palliative care, I was the Deputy Manager of an Extra Care facility, a care co-ordinator in the community and I was registered manager of a care home in Selby for two years.
Seven years ago, I qualified as a nurse and worked in the elderly care ward at Harrogate District Hospital. Showing compassion to others and supporting them in times of need has always been a calling of mine, demonstrated further by my volunteer roles delivering complementary therapy to those still living at home on the palliative care pathway.
I am one of seven children, and we are all qualified nurses. So some might say the job is in my blood!
Just before I was born, my mother bought a care home which she ran, I grew up within that care home; learning and watching people to support others showing compassion, empathy, and kindness. That foundation has provided me with the life skills to support my passion for care in a professional way. I am very proud of my roots and my working life so far and am delighted to now be the registered manager of such a luxurious residential and nursing home in the heart of Wetherby.
The team at Wetherby Manor are diverse and passionate and I look forward to being able to support and expand their development as far as they want to progress.
I look forward to welcoming you to Wetherby Manor.
Please say hello or stop by for a chat on your visit, my door is always open.
Hi everyone, my name is Laura and I am the Deputy Manager at Wetherby Manor.
I started my role in June 2023, and I support Caroline with the daily management of the home. With over 30 years’ experience in the care sector, I have a vast knowledge and a wealth of experience in looking after people, being able to look after your loved ones is a true privilege. If you ever have any questions please do not hesitate to approach me.
Away from work, I love spending time with my three children, my dog and my horses.
I am a Mum to three and have worked at Wetherby Manor since it opened in 2013.
I started as a Care Assistant, then I was a Senior Team Leader and now I am an Activities Co-ordinator. I am very passionate about creating options for our residents and ensuring their lives are enhanced by the ideas and events that happen in Wetherby Manor.
Sadly I experienced a time in my life where a family member needed support, which was never given. This experience motivates me to give my all to help others in any way I can. I love spending time with the residents and making a difference.
Hello! I’m Alison and I am the administrator at Wetherby Manor.
I have worked in payroll, recruitment and administration roles for 34 years so I have a lot of knowledge about the processes required to execute my role effectively.
I started my career within care in 2017 when I was a care recruiter; firstly, in Children's Services and then into Adult Services, inclusive of management teams for nursing homes, residential homes, supported / independent living, home care and complex care. I was responsible for over 25 clients recruiting the right people for their roles.
I have a diploma in payroll management.
At Wetherby Manor, I will support you and your loved ones with your resident contract, account management and other administrative duties.
I live in Leeds with my husband and three children – a boy 23, and two girls aged 12 and 9.
We own a Caravan on the East Coast which we love spending time at.
