All 60 bedrooms are en-suite wet rooms, enabling the team to deliver person-centred care in a dignified manner, promoting independence as far as possible. Your stylish room comes equipped with a flat screen TV, DVD player, mini fridge and wifi so when you aren’t joining in with an activity in one of the beautiful day spaces, you can enjoy spending time in your room and keep in contact with friends and family whenever you wish.
The team understand that moving into a care home is a big step, which is why they have introduced 'supported admissions' for new residents. This is where a friend or family member can stay at the home during moving in day to help their loved one settle. They can even enjoy their first meal together.

She passed away recently in the care home with dignity, kindness and compassion from all the staff who had kept her safe and happy from the day she arrived. She had dementia, and I worried I would have memories tainted by the illness, but what they gave me were happy memories of laughter and smiles that I would never have got from keeping her at home, where she wasn't safe.

At the ending of her life Mum could not have been looked after better and cared for by staff too many to name, but would like to mention two staff members in particular who helped not only Mum but supported the family with sympathy and kindness.

We agree leadership presence is important and helps families to feel supported and informed. Upon arrival we were all early welcomed and we are made to feel more than welcome everytime we visit. Staff are always there to respond to residents needs and requirements and do so with dignity and respect. Food and dietary requirements are of the highest standards. Cleanliness and residents personal hygiene are also maintained to a very high standard. Activities are second to none and cater for individuals capabilities. We were fixed up immediately at such short notice. Mum was really nervous. It was her first ever stay away from home. Having come to live with us nearly 4 years ago. Mum was welcomed with open arms. Welcoming staff. Really pleasant surroundings. The staff could not do enough for her. The care home has pleasant decor and modern furniture. I was worried as Mum does not have any use of her legs due to a fall leading to hip operations leaving her one leg shorter than the other. She had so many falls. She is afraid to stand up but the brilliant team at Ash Tree House got her doing a couple of steps.

I can honestly say I speak for the family when we say that we have peace of mind knowing my mother-in-law is being looked after 24/7. We waited for a room to become available in this specific home and it's the best decision we made for her.

From my initial enquiry in person with reception, the whole experience that followed in assessing Mum (during a coffee morning) and her move to the home was done with care, compassion and an obvious demonstration of experience of helping very frightened and reluctant residents and very anxious families to navigate the process. Every single member of staff I meet, from the lady who made her birthday cake to the ladies who clean her room and everyone in-between, have been special. They have changed my mum's life and mine and are worth every penny.
