The modern and purpose-built home plus the inclusive offer means that life at Ash Tree House is relaxed, safe and enjoyable. All 60 bedrooms are en-suite wet rooms, enabling the team to deliver person-centred care in a dignified manner, promoting independence as far as possible. Your stylish room comes equipped with a flat screen TV, DVD player, mini fridge and wifi so when you aren’t joining in with an activity in one of the beautiful day spaces, you can enjoy spending time in your room and keep in contact with friends and family whenever you wish.

Ash Tree House is proud to have achieved ‘Outstanding’ in the area of ‘Responsive’ in their latest Care Quality Commission report and to be rated as ‘Good’ overall – May 2019.

The team understand that moving into a care home is a big step, which is why they have introduced 'supported admissions' for new residents. This is where a friend or family member can stay at the home during moving in day to help their loved one settle. They can even enjoy their first meal together.

Thank you for the care and kindness received by our Mum during her residency at Ash Tree House, Wigan. The care staff, cleaners, kitchen staff, entertainment and front of house staff all contributed to the friendly and caring atmosphere during her stay. At the ending of her life Mum could not have
been looked after better and cared for by staff too many to name, but would like to mention two staff members in particular who helped not only Mum but supported the family with sympathy and kindness.

Mum now resides at Ash Tree House since January 2025. She is settled and extremely happy. Staff are warm & caring and she feels safe. Not seen or had any contact with the manager which is disappointing as services should be led from him/her. Overall really excellent but does need little touches from
the manager. Maybe presence or walk arounds. Does Ash Tree have a manager?

Since my mum moved into Ash Tree House, she has been very happy as have we with the are and support that she receives from the staff. Upon arrival we were all early welcomed and we are made to feel more than welcome everytime we visit. Staff are always there to respond to residents needs and requirements
and do so with dignity and respect. Food and dietary requirements are of the highest standards. Cleanliness and residents personal hygiene are also maintained to a very high standard. Activities are second to none and cater for individuals capabilities. Do no hesitate to contact for further assistance.

We were fixed up immediately at such short notice. Mum was really nervous. It was her first ever stay away from home. Having come to live with us nearly 4 years ago. Mum was welcomed with open arms. Welcoming staff. Really pleasant surroundings. The staff could not do enough for her. The care home has
pleasant decor and modern furniture. I was worried as Mum does not have any use of her legs due to a fall leading to hip operations leaving her one leg shorter than the other. She had so many falls. She is afraid to stand up but the brilliant team at Ash Tree House got her doing a couple of steps.

Our elderly father came into Ash Tree House following an operation for respite and convalescence. He has received excellent care from a dedicated team of professional carers. Throughout his stay, he has been treated with respect, dignity and patience, with all his care needs being recognised and met.
The staff are so friendly and truly caring and there is a genuine feeling of warmth throughout Ash Tree House. From initial enquiry to residential care, we have experienced excellent customer service and a great experience. Thank you Ash Tree House.

I can't express enough the care and attention my mother-in-law receives. I visit regularly and the staff are amazing. The entertainment the home provides, the meals I cannot fault anything with the care they provide, also the cleanliness.
I can honestly say I speak for the family when we say that we
have peace of mind knowing my mother-in-law is being looked after 24/7. We waited for a room to become available in this specific home and it's the best decision we made for her.

From my initial enquiry in person with reception, the whole experience that followed in assessing Mum (during a coffee morning) and her move to the home was done with care, compassion and an obvious demonstration of experience of helping very frightened and reluctant residents and very anxious families
to navigate the process. Every single member of staff I meet, from the lady who made her birthday cake to the ladies who clean her room and everyone in-between, have been special. They have changed my mum's life and mine and are worth every penny.

From the first call I made enquiring about care at Ash Tree House, I have been very impressed. My dad went in for respite care and was immediately welcomed by all staff and made at ease. Staff are attentive, caring, supportive and loving towards Dad. Knowing he has professional care gives me comfort.

The home provides an excellent level of care. It is now over a year since my father became a resident, and he has received exceptional care, with all staff genuinely caring for residents and getting to know them as individuals. They go beyond the levels of care my father received in previous homes that
he has stayed at. The rooms are comfortable, the food is of a high standard, and I can rest easy knowing that my father is so well looked after.

My aunt has been in Ash Tree House now for two years, previously she was lonely and depressed, she had recently lost her partner and lacked stimulation. Moving to Ash Tree House has given her a new lease of life. There is always something going on, the staff are excellent and the general appearance
of the home is a credit. I looked at quite a few places before Ash Tree House and am so glad I found it.

My overall experience at Ash Tree House has been excellent from the beginning. With Mum suffering from dementia I was really worried about placing her in a care home but all the staff at Ash Tree reassure me every time I visit. Mum is happy, clean and well looked after which is all I could have hoped

Staff at Ash Tree House Care Home go over and above for the residents; there are always activities, new and different experiences and things for the residents to do and interact with. The staff know Mum and her needs really well and have helped her settle brilliantly. It is wonderful knowing and seeing
she is well looked after, cared for and thriving and we can’t thank Ash Tree enough for everything they have done for Mum. Communication from the team has been excellent from day one and there is always someone available to answer any questions.

Ash Tree House is an outstanding care home. My mum suffers with dementia and been a resident for nearly 2 years. The staff are so friendly and make you feel so welcoming, nothing is too much trouble.
Mum is very settled now in her care home. This is so comforting for us as a family that our mum is
being cared for and is safe.
The home has regular events activities which keep Mum entertained when she feels up to it. Thank you Ash Tree staff.

My mother-in-law has been diagnosed with dementia. She was roaming the streets in the early hours, telephoning the police for company and waking the neighbours at night. Our social worker managed to find Ash Tree House Care Home - Mother-in-law is settled there. She is well cared for with regular meals
and one-to-one attention. The home is clean, pleasant and cheerful. Mother-in-law can be awkward with a mind of her own but the staff have won her round with their gentle coaxing and warm personalities. We are confident that she is safe and cared for.

Dad is being well looked after, the staff are all really friendly and happy to chat, and even dance, with him. He is happy there and enjoys the various activities. We joined him for the Christmas sing-along when his other son was singing and playing. It was clear that the staff were doing a really good
job in encouraging residents to participate. It's never easy putting a parent into care, but the whole family think Dad is happy where he is now.

So happy with the care our grandma receives at Ash Tree. She did not like the idea of a care home before she spent the night and then she didn't want to go home! Now she calls Ash Tree home and we have total peace of mind- I can't tell you how much this means to us. She is always busy doing lovely things
and she is happy which we are forever grateful to the fantastic team for!
