The modern and purpose-built home plus the inclusive offer means that life at Ash Tree House is relaxed, safe and enjoyable. All 60 bedrooms are en-suite wet rooms, enabling the team to deliver person-centred care in a dignified manner, promoting independence as far as possible. Your stylish room comes equipped with a flat screen TV, DVD player, mini fridge and wifi so when you aren’t joining in with an activity in one of the beautiful day spaces, you can enjoy spending time in your room and keep in contact with friends and family whenever you wish.

Ash Tree House is proud to have achieved ‘Outstanding’ in the area of ‘Responsive’ in their latest Care Quality Commission report and to be rated as ‘Good’ overall – May 2019.

The team understand that moving into a care home is a big step, which is why they have introduced 'supported admissions' for new residents. This is where a friend or family member can stay at the home during moving in day to help their loved one settle. They can even enjoy their first meal together.

We understand this has been a very difficult time for care homes, residents, relatives and visitors. Ash Tree House have tried their best to help us see Mum as the restrictions change. Testing has been carried out efficiently, giving us the confidence to start visiting in Mums room. She really enjoys
this and appreciates all the extra work this makes. I do feel during the long period when we couldn't visit, extra staff should have provided more in house activities. The garden has been our saving grace during this hard time. Through the hard work of the gardener/handyman/decorator/singer, Ash Tree House has allowed us to connect with our loved ones, work in the garden and provide a beautiful outlook and peaceful place to relax as well as plenty of flowers and vegetables. This work needs to continue and increase and more money made available.

Extremely impressed with the care provided during mum's respite stay. The staff went to a great deal of trouble to ensure that mum's needs were catered for, including a home visit before her stay. Good communication throughout.

My Mum is happy, care for, and loved at Ash Tree. The staff are truly amazing I can never thank them enough for what they do. The atmosphere within the home is always happy and positive. The staff are kind and thoughtful to family members and I thank God every day that I found Ash Tree.

My dad went into Ash Tree House during Covid restrictions. With having dementia he can get quite confused and disorientated. However, the excellent kind and caring staff took the time to get to know Dad and tailored his care to his specific needs making his transition less stressful and relaxed. The
home is spotlessly clean, well run with a homely feel. Communication and updates on Dad's wellbeing is excellent. Dad has made himself somewhat of a character and I rest assured knowing that he is cared for by such professional, dedicated, friendly staff and management.

My sister has lived at Ash Tree House for nearly three years. She is well looked after and her carers are kind and considerate. Her medical needs are well taken care of. The home is so clean and well maintained. The food is excellent.

The carers are generally good and some are exceptionally helpful. The management is competent but could do a better job in proactively communicating with residents' relatives - I generally only get information if I ask for it.

My father has only been with you for just over one month but has been made to feel very welcome. I am really impressed with the staff and how they are so caring and very approachable. I feel very comfortable knowing that my dad is being cared for in the best possible way. One observation I have made
is that in the visiting room on the visitor's side, it would benefit from either an internal extension to the phone system or an alarm button in care of an emergency with the residents who are on the other side of the window.

Mum and Dad moved to Ash Tree House in January 2020. Sadly Dad passed away in December 2020. But the care he and Mum received is excellent. The care Mum is still receiving is the best I could ever wish for. The staff are the best and the management are too. They are so caring for their residents. They
go above and beyond, there are no words I can say to thank them for all they do. They are the best I have ever met. The best place ever.

Mum went into Ash Tree House initially for respite with a view to long term care if she liked it. Less than a week, mum had made her mind up to stay! The manager and all the staff are very friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. They are caring for mum who at times is difficult, but they
manage her with dignity and professionalism. I would highly recommend Ash Tree House to anyone considering care for a loved one.

My dad has recently moved to Ash Tree House after undergoing surgery which resulted in him requiring supported living services. Having just visited dad via the covid secure visiting room, I was so pleased to see how much better he looked. He has settled into his room which he likes, he enjoys the menu
choices offered and has started to participate in some of the activities that are organised. Above all, he likes the staff who he said are kind and attentive. It is very comforting to know that dad is being cared for by such hard-working and professional people who have understood my dad's needs so quickly. Thank you to all the Ash Tree House team.

On arrival at Ash Tree House, we were welcomed by many staff members who reassured us both, myself and my Grandmother, on any questions we had. It has been difficult not being able to see her in her room due to the covid-19 restrictions. However, the visiting room is very well set out and we haven't
had any problems booking visiting slots. We have always been able to speak to her on the phone whenever we have called. My Grandmother has settled in very well and the staff are excellent in responding quickly to any queries we have.
We are very confident that my Grandmother is safe and very well looked after at Ash Tree House.

My mum as been a resident for 3 years with dementia, the staff are excellent. Over the last few months with coronavirus, I have had peace of mind my mum has been looked after. Dad moved into Ash Tree House after mum passed away. They had lived with us for ten years and we'd cared for them both but he was in declining health and at the time withdrawn and not himself. The staff worked hard caring for him, encouraging him to join in activities, but popping into his room with
cups of tea etc when he wanted to be on his own. Gradually he's settled in and enjoys the company of the staff and residents, eats well and has put on weight, joins in the activities and it's great to see him happy and smiling again. Lovely environment, modern and stylish - it was a difficult decision to move dad into residential care but we know 100% we made the right one in choosing Ash Tree House.

The staff at Ash Tree House are really lovely and treated my Dad with the utmost respect and care. They made sure that the joined in the activities and felt part of everything. They took him to see his friend upstairs for a visit and invited him to the Chinese night. The put the large screen up so that
he could watch the football match. They go above and beyond. Wonderful!

My Grandad was made to feel so welcome here that he settled in really quickly. They looked after him excellently. He was involved in lots of activities. All the carers are really nice. Nothing is too much trouble for them! The surroundings are bright and airy - beautiful!

My Mother-in-Law first became a resident at Ashtree House 15th November 2019 for two weeks respite care after suffering a heart attack 5th November 2019. The Ashtree team visited her in her home after being discharged from hospital and they were very kind and considerate in assessing her needs. They
agreed with the family that two weeks respite care was appropriate and accepted her as a resident. During this period, it became evident that she needed a longer period of care and we entered into a full-time care agreement. Throughout, the staff at Ashtree have all been very kind, considerate, helpful and very cheerful. The family has been extremely impressed by the standard of the facilities and especially the number and variety of activities provided. We did all have Christmas dinner at the home which was excellent and the staff made it a great day.
We would have no hesitation recommending Ashtree House to anyone as a first-class residential care home.

    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 60 registered maximum number of service users is 12, which has been reached with 17 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
